Knick's Go looked pretty tough. If he runs his race, he will have a good chance to win the BC Classic. He seems to be back on track. I've seen other good colt's go to Dubai, loose, and not be the same when they return. It didn't seem to take KG long to get back on track.

If he gets away properly and runs like this, he's hard to catch. Joel Rosario gave this horse a fabulous ride, never got to urgent, or hard on him, fantastic jockey, great horse 🐎.
Silver State and Maxfield are still Grade 1 horses, they just couldnt match this one today. I do think Maxfield can turn the tables on him Classic. Silver State is better from 7F to 1 1/8
What an amazing horse that couldn't beat allowance fields before coming to the Cox barn and suddenly wiring graded stakes races. Incredible turnaround, and goes to show what the use of synthetic steroids will allow a trainer to do.
First race in 4 months after missing preferred races due to being in a quarantined barn. Needed a race and came back against 3 of the top Classic division males at a distance that’s shorter than her preference (0 for 4 at this distance in her career). She’s earned the chance to prove herself again later in the year.

I was at Keeneland when he won the Claiborne at 70-1. Things were so different back then.

This horse had plenty of back class he was a G1 winner at two, and was second in the juvenile.

It's similar in Europe. About the only place where they still have big fields contesting the best races every time is Japan.
Some the best older horses in the country, I doubt to many trainers wanted to enter there horse in this spot.
