  • Before you start romanticizing a SHTF scenario, pause and consider this.

I think television and movies make these scenarios seem exciting and are likely written to make the viewer feel like they're one of the successful survivors. In reality, a total collapse would certainly be more horrific than even the most creative of us could imagine. I am more ready and capable for shtf than 99.9% of Americans and yet I hope that this screwed up clown world continues to hold up as long as possible. Like you explain here, things could always be much, much worse.
Beautiful pupper dogs by the way.

@@TheBackwoodsHermit I agree- I think TV makes the viewer feel as though they can relate to the main character and also survive through a world collapse. The most honest show I’ve seen (where tons of characters die off) is called Jericho. It actually makes you think and doesn’t give you false hope that everyone’s going to be okay. And thanks! They’re good dogs and work together very well.

@@miscellaneousme I'm not familiar with that show, I'll have to see if I can't check it out at some point. The zombie show, Black Summer, was gritty like that as well. An Irish movie from 2015 called The Survivalist was really realistic, not to be confused with the 2021 movie of the same name starring John Malkovich which is a waste of time.

I appreciate this. It just pushed me to buy fish mox. It's coming from the U.S. because canada banned OTC fish mox so I have to pay almost 3x the price with shipping and conversion but im doing it ! I'll budget for it. Everything else is easy, I'm a human swissarmy knife but I can't shut down an infection that my little girl or my people or even myself might get. Not worth the risk. Thanks for the vid 👍🏼

A good dose of common sense. What people don't realize is how much we need modern medicine. If society collapses just think what happens when insulin, anti biotics, thyroxine etc are not available. Having once nearly died of septicaemia, I was very glad of a IV antibiotics, and the hospital for a fortnight. A financial SHTF situation would be bad enough. But, hears hoping life struggles by as normal.

@@robert-yv2yj Definitely! I had some skin cancer removed when I was in my 20s. I have no idea what would happen if I need that done again and there was no one with the knowledge or tools to help me.

I’m way too soft for 💩 hitting the fan. I’d be one of the first zombie converts. Y’all lucky I don’t run fast
