Driving Trousdale Estates in Beverly Hills.

Trousdale Estates is a neighborhood of Beverly Hills, California, located in the foothills of the Santa Monica mountains. It was developed in the 1950s and 1960s and is named after Paul Trousdale, a real estate developer.
As of September 2019, the average sale price of a home in Trousdale Estates was over $11 million.According to Bloomberg L.P. it is one of the 12 most expensive neighborhoods in the USA
Celebrity residents have included Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Tony Curtis, Ray Charles, Howard Hughes, and Groucho Marx. President Richard Nixon lived in the neighborhood from 1962 to 1963. When Nixon, who had just been Vice President from 1953 to 1961 under President Dwight D. Eisenhower, purchased his residence, Frank McCullogh of the Los Angeles Times reported that he had paid only $90,000 for a house whose real price was $300,000, as the developers believed his name would add prestige to the neighborhood.
More recently, Jennifer Aniston, Elton John, David Spade, Zoë de Givenchy, Vera Wang, Billy Dee Williams, John Rich, Jane Fonda, Richard Perry, Markus Persson, Ringo Starr, Simon Cowell, and Charlie Puth have lived in the neighborhood.

After using google earth to orient myself to the area I was sightseeing I was amazed, although not surprised at the difference this development is compared to all other surrounding neighborhoods. Noticeable from space is the sheer size and enormity of every estate. Driving the streets only reveal the walls, gates and hedges. Google reveals what we can't see from the street. Adjacent neighborhoods with $25M homes are a quarter or less the size of these, it seems. Nice Sunday drive again, Thank you.
Yes these homes and properties are so large wish we could see them from the ground to see their actual size! Definitely a good day for a drive! Thank you!

Good video! I'm surprised though that the roads are not better paved for such a pricey neighborhood.
Would have been nice to see more of the homes. Streets and trees look the same in Beverly Hills as they do in every other neighborhood in the U.S.

According to the book written by Dean Martin's late son Ricci they lived at 601 Mountain Drive near the junction of Lorna Vista . In the book Ricci Martin described an occasional visit by his fathers parents where grandpa Guy , impressed by the big house would ask him , the grandson " What room number you're taking me to ? " Gotta love that Martin humor ! Anyway the house was long razed and the lot is now an apartment complex .
How cool it must have been to be the grandson of Dean Martin!

epic, hillcrest dr I do not think I have ever seen, just great footage, the one view of the city looked like the view from NEON DEMON, a modern classic LA based movie.

I've considered getting a 360 camera but I question how well they might actually look for these types of videos. Don't they have a fisheye look? I'll have to do some more research.

@@mourning_Moscow_Crocus I don't know who that is so I had to google her. I can't really find any information on her except that she's from Texas. So I don't know if she lives in LA. The Ziggy Hotel use to be the Grafton hotel and opened 2 years ago. The hotel has a rockstar theme. I think a younger party crowd comes to the hotel because of the theme and the type of parties they might throw.
In the very end of this cul-de-sac in Hillcrest Rd only Billionaires lives there.... Because it's a crazy promontory so it make the street very expensive. And so is the street next-door in Hollywood hills, Robin Dr

There are lots of supermarkets to choose from. But all driving distance. The closest one to here would probably be Erewhon blocks away from Rodeo drive in Beverly Hills.

My car is an older Accord. 4 cyl. 2.4 liters. I had to google it. Learned something new about my car lol. I'd love a new nimble car. But I've had it for so long I have no payments 😀

FYI, this is a very high end exclusive area where there is no need for a walk pavement. For what purpose? You don't see people walking on sidewalk pavement because these high end multi rich people don't walk on the side street walk pavement.

Its kind of a hard thing for some people to understand. The people who can afford these homes are not likely to be interested in knowing their neighbors. They prefer the peace and privacy.
