Doing some tests with Nikon's new Keymission 360 virtual reality camera and thought I'd test its underwater capabilities. I am a bit bummed that the underwater lens enclosures for it create a black ring all the way around the center of the VR sphere. The image is nice and crisp, but the ring does take away from the experience.

+PsychedelicBabe haha! Cool. Glad you liked it. People love or hate VR. I like it if I'm on my phone, but don't enjoy it as much on my computer. I'm bummed that it has the black line around the circumference for underwater filming. That isn't there when using it with the other lens cover.

Have you tried it without the underwater corrective lens? I saw another underwater video with the normal lens and it doesn't have the black ring around it.
Anthony Tori Anthony Tori I saw one too and it was so blurry that I didn't bother. The flat glass allows it to focus properly. Still going to test the other way tonight. 😁
Great, look forward to it. I'm planning a scuba trip to test this out. Anything to justify a trip :). That black bar ruins the experience in my opinion so I'm hoping a 3rd party comes out with a new lens. Are you on Oculus at all?
