Did that ride yesterday, foolishly thinking after a week of no rain in Lakes that Mosedale would be bog free, which it very much wasn't

That looks like hard work over the rock garden !

Looks like it might be slower going for most of those descents on my gravel bike, Looks doable though!

Great ride with good company. superb to see myself dying on most of the ride as iI normally only see my version of my rides. There were some very testing climbs and descents on this ride and the awful drizzle and headwind made it extra hard work on the section to Mosedale bothy

Yes a tough ride but good company and always something to learn for the next ride

It is a hard climb I did it on a 1994 canondale withch was pretty cutting edge in----you guessed it 1994😅 wouldn't fancy doing it now at 90kg 😅.

So when does the Trail start to justify the Fully?

For these types of hills, you will need at least a dual motor 2000W Ebike, fattires 24-26 inches.

How can you possibly enjoy cycling over those rocks!??

A lot of mountain bikers love that kind of thing. I hate rock gardens with a passion but it's hard to get away from them if you are riding in the UK. Almost every route includes at least one really rough rock section.

Another thing: it's really good for your brain; you have to focus 100% and your reactions are improved

If you want epic do it on an analogue MTB. Easy with a motor!

      “Easy” is relative.
E bikes are an incredible way for more people to explore the outdoors and visit places they might not be able to otherwise. Surly “Analogue” elitists should be shouting their praise as it gets more people in to MTB.

Why do people ride around puddles? Just widens the degradation. Unweight your front wheel and crack on, or do they just not like wet bikes???
