I have to say. Genshin really upped the story telling with Fontaine. The plot, characters, and emotional impact were all dialed up to 11 this time around. I didn't feel like I was playing a game...rather, watching a movie from start to finish. Superb cover, worthy of the praises of Focalors herself.
Yea, i feel like fontaine story is way more character driven. I feel like in other region focus primarily on the problem at hand and the characters are tool to further the plot, while in fontaine the character are the focus and the calamity is the tool to explore the character’s story. Not just furina and neuvilette but also navia, wriothesley, clorinde, the fatui siblings.

By far my favorite english cover of La Vagulette, I do not mean to say that the original french version is bad as I think it is quite good and the singer for that one is quite skilled, but there's something about it being sung yes beautifully but also in a language you yourself are fluent in that evokes a separate beauty in the song as you're no longer reading just the subtitles but understanding the words as they're sung through your ears.

I used to listen to this version of the song practically every day and night and during my walk to school(January) But then an incident happened in my town which made the song so emotional for me. A boy at the age of 16-17 was murdered, and I knew who he was and practically everyone in my school knew who he was Because they were his friends. He was murdered and his friend(my ex) escaped and survived. So whenever I heard this song it makes me emotional, but it's also a very good song and I love it! R.I.P Jacob 🙏🕊️ ---
