Chismis: Many Influensters had a reaction with the Resurface collection of products. So far, what works is using the items once a day, once or twice a week, and not all items together. I do the same thing to get the benefits of strong AHA without risking irritation :) From here you can build up your tolerance to AHA to use the full line. But always, hydrate hydrate! Even oily skin people need hydration.
My dermatologist told me to mix them . I use Retin-A and I mix it with my glycollic acid. I know most people couldn’t do that it would irritate your skin
Bumps are very common when starting new products with the presence of glycolics or retinals. It’s an indication that your skin needs to get used to the product. Start off with a smaller than recommended amount and use for lesser times than directed. Please slowly build it up. As someone with really reactive and sensitive skin, I know how scary working with acids can be. I usually top off these treatments with a simple moisturiser with no perfumes, acids, parabens or sulphates
Thank you for sharing this Pats!!! A newbie with skin care here! Keep giving tips as to which things to mix or not to mix in a skincare regimen. Love this video!!! ❤️❤️❤️
What about the presence of parabens in the composition ? I was really satisfied with Neostrata resurface for a while, but after having discovered potentially toxic preservatives in this cream (when all the other brands tend to avoid it nowadays...) , well I decided to stop using it. And I'm really disappointed because no other cream is equivalent to this one. Why don't they change the formula ? Thanks for your video anyway ☺🙏
Paraben gets a really bad rep but without knowing the percentage of paraben, I cannot say if its presence in this formulation is alarming as it is needed to keep the formula fresh. But I also agree that if other brands have found an alternative to paraben, they should also update their formula. if you are looking for Glycolic acid as main ingredient in creams, Caudalie and Drunk Elephant have similar ones :)
Parabens have actually been shown time and time again to be the safest preservatives we can use. Products that are usually paraben free use irritating more sensitivity causing preservative Edit: spelling
@@mayramedina8535 thanks for sharing. You're correct too. I think that with today's beauty standards and vloggers, brands have to be more careful about what they put in their formula or else they will suffer a backlask on social media faster than they can launch their other lines. I feel that skincare today are generally safer than those of past 10 years. My derma told me not to be afraid of paraben as they are in safe amounts. But I also understand the apprehension to paraben in ingredients. As cosmetics develop we continue to filter out certain ingredients if we find an alternative.

parabens are harmless and they make the product safer to use.
