Hi, my name is Jen I am 44 and live in Connecticut with my husband and 8 year old son. I am a stay-at-home Mom and full-time RUclipsr with a degree in business with a focus in marketing. Before leaving work when my son was born, I was a commercial lender at a bank. I also worked at Sephora and Macy's doing visual merchandising.
I have dry skin with some hyperpigmentation and fine lines. I love natural makeup looks but occasionally go outside my comfort zone a little bit. On my channel you'll find lots of videos about drugstore makeup and drugstore dupes (those are my favorites to film!) but I also review high-end makeup as well. I’m tired of makeup too. The steeply rising prices are taking a lot of the fun out of it for me. Also, not into all the cream and liquid products that have been everywhere the past couple years. But I too always watch Jen’s videos! 😂

Hey there! 49 with skin drier than paper…it is so nice to hear someone who is somewhat fair (I am basically transparent), in their 40s, with dry skin try and recommend affordable (usually) products. Nice to see you in the comments!! May the winter be kind to your dry skin!💜
Always love these Sunday hauls! You should do them more often because I think they are a kind of signature videos in your channel! That pink lip oil with very strong color looks great on your fair and cool skintone, maybe is intimidating for you but you should use it more often! (summer would be a good time!) 😊

I trust a few others on TY, but so few of them have skin like Jen's, ya know, dry, sensitive, pale with a pink undertone, so, combined with her lovely, honest personality, she is definitely no. 1 for me.

Been waiting for this since you announced it. I have to get ready today and I am doing so with a new foundation, and so we shall see. I am happy to see Real Techniques made a sponge/powder applicator, as I have been using the exact same product from Beauty Blender for years…I always have one in my purse. I am sure the Real Tech one will be considerably easier on my wallet!! I do love the product, though (Beauty Blender’s). Will have to give the RT one a try!❤
That Lawless lip oil in the very bright color was so gorgeous on you. I know it really takes you out of your comfort zone, but honestly Jen it’s SO beautiful on you against your skin tone and more minimalist makeup style. Give it another chance I think you’ll be surprised by how beautiful it is on you. Color is your friend 😘

You might be thinking of Doll Face...they're sold at Rite Aid and are a completely different company. Doll 10 has always been sold mostly on QVC and are more high-end. :)

I picked up an LA Girl eye shadow palette last week, no idea if it’s new or not, it’s called The Nudist and I LOVE it. Both mattes and shimmers are gorgeous. Best 10 dollars I’ve spent in a long time😃

I can see how dry your fingers are. Please try Stoko stokolan classic creme. Everyone I told including my late husband had excellent results. Cured the splits in the fingers.

What a fun haul! Oh the yensa lip product intrigues me so! It's pretty & opaque. So very disappointing abt lagirl!! I've been loving using the lagirl pro pastels & jewels palettes-just the best. I'm glad you're reviewing them so I know not to buy them when I'm able to buy fun things again.

I luv the Yensa Foundation! It is a more full coverage one. But, it’s beautiful. Loved that Pixie powder! That’s an absolute must! Doll 10 never disappoints! I agree about the color in the Yensa oil n I like what u called it better. Beautiful blush color. Juvia’s place love those shimmery blushes! I like them better than CT. There was a lot to cover in this video. I can’t remember it all. Oh those LA Girl eyeshadow palettes were not the same formula unfortunately. U still look gorgeous. Loved the Yensa Concealer. Morphe bronzer stick I felt like u it was not right yr color but it still performed well. I wouldn’t run out & buy out there r way too many other brands that r better options. I absolutely love that bright lip color on you! Maybe if they have a sale someday I’ll get that color , it’s a bit pricey for me. But I love that it has full color!! I haven’t tried the new la girl palettes because I had a bad feeling about them in the new packaging. The old formula in the thick plastic packaging was the bomb! I pulled some back out to remind myself of how amazing that formula was!!! I actually just put a kopari product on my ulta wishlist! It looks so beautiful! The sheer body mist, although for me the oil seems so amazing! I have dry skin too. My question is will the spf be enough? I burn super quick in the summer if I’m not careful.
Jen, I love this makeup look on you. If you apply a sheer lip balm and then use your finger to dab on the Yensa lip oil it would probably be more comfortable for your style. The color is beautiful on you and even wearing it without softening the color it looked wonderful on you.

Wow I’m impressed by how pigmented the black eyeshadow in the LA Girl Cool palette is! Even if it’s layered a bit it still surprises me. Very black black eyeshadow is so hard to come by. I’m going to have to pick this up!
Yay!! I love your makeup haul videos!! I really want to try a lot of these things myself. Thanks for the reviews of them--again saving me a bundle!! 💖 I also wanted to pass along a tip I picked up from Rachel Cooper (Rachloves RUclips) for "winter hands." Living in Canada with 3 young children, her hands get rough in the winter, just like mine do here in NY. Instead of using regular soap to wash her hands throughout the day, she uses the CerVe Hydrating Face Wash for those quick hand washes. I gave it a shot this year and WOW! Big difference! I'm not getting that super dry feeling and I've had almost no cracks, not even around my cuticles! At night, I do use a bit of Tarte's Maracuja oil, especially on my knuckles, but I've done that for a few years now. The CerVe wash is what has made the big difference for me this year and you know it's been very cold and dry here in the northeast this year. So I wanted to mention this in case you'd not tried it. (Even my husband is using it now! 🤯)
That's a great idea! I ran out of soap in my master bathroom and instead of going downstairs to get a new one I've been using my Naturium body wash (which is super gentle) and it does make my hands feel softer. I should try it more often!
I was a color consultant back in the '80's. Pleases me that you talk about sticking with cool undertones. Just a guess, but based on my laptop video, I'd say you could be what we called a Summer - best with soft, somewhat "dusty," pastel cool tones. Even with my grey hair, I am Winter - brighter, more saturated color with a cool undertone. At 70, I still choose clothes and makeup based on color theory. Appreciate you. Thanks for what you do.

I wish Naked Sundays went deeper.😢 That dark bronzer one would lighten my foundation. I think I’ll just get the NYX SPF Tint and the Supergoop ones.

Yay! I’m glad you liked the JP blushes-as I mentioned before, I prefer powder blushes to liquid/cream but JP’s blushes are the exception because as a dark skinned woman, I love that they are really pigmented.

Wheeeeee a Sunday haul 🎉 I have a face cream from Yensa and I really like it. I have dry skin and I can tell it makes a difference. I use it at night bc it’s thicker. Think I got it in a Boxycharm by Ipsy. I’d like to try their serum foundation! Ohhh that yensa blush is so pretty! The Lawless lip products! They’re going on my makeup wishlist. Enjoy your Sunday formats..what you got during the week..so sad about the LA Girl shadows as usually they are good..only tried their larger palettes...Also enjoy Lawless excited about the new balms as I really like their glosses too! IPSY this month Boxycharm we have the opportunity to get the YENSA concealer..already enjoy the same foundation that you showed and I am combo girly who is older than you so that is a win!

lol I was just going to say that the rosy posey Julia’s place blush really looks like it could be a dup for the Charlotte Tilbury pinkgasm blush. I have the Yensa skin on skin foundation and I love it. It’s a little glowy so I have to powder or I will get a little too oily looking by end of day (and I’m normal to dry skin) but I truly do enjoy wearing it once in a while.
hi Jen, I think that lip oil looked so pretty on you, with my lip lines I’m afraid it would go into those lines. I did use both of those 2 Moria eye shadow pallets and wow they are so good, now I want to order a few more. Love the pink/brown one and the Silvermist one too.❤
Hey jen, i was wondering id you could make a video about your favorite bronzers for cool toned skin. My fav is laguna beach from colourpop. I bought the milani cream bronzer and its too warm for my liking... more summer or warm toned looks

This was the best 2 part declutter video that I know you got a huge chore done and I totally enjoyed watching it being I have gotten Covid just when they nolonger recognize it and the doctors view it as the flu. Im here to say it feels like a horrible upper respiratory flu, mixed with pneumonia with tha awul pneumonia headache that even hur ts your ae, cheekbones,, teeth humbs and sore throat, chills, low appetite, and I slept 3 days, and it all stared with a minor sore hair and I thought I was getting a bad headcount, and went down hill by the hour, by 4th day on the mend and technically by 5th day around not contagious. SO this was my way wat hung your declutter between sleeps. Excellent declutter!!!!!

I have the LA Girl nudes palette and found if you scraped off a layer on the colours that aren’t showing up it makes a big difference. I wet my brush for the shimmers and that also helped but they are not very sparkly. The Naked Sundays products are gorgeous!

I am really loving that doll 10 tinted moisturizer. The new luminous primer is nice under it. Then I top it with the pink powder. It works beautiful with the bk 101 brush. I bet the 109 and 106 will work good with it too.

The Kopari mist sounds intriguing. I dislike how so many SPF products feel heavy and sticky on my skin like they don't absorb, they just sit on top. I'd love to see a video devoted to SPF products because I seem to have a knack for picking the worst ones. I'm curious about the Yensa lip oils now. That color you are wearing is beautiful and the Crush It Coral is tempting as well (my skin is cool toned so I have to be careful about corals, some look great on me and some look like I need to be hooked up to an IV).
