Yeah, just when I got used to ASDM I had start learning how Palo Alto does things. Cisco's firewall seems more logical in the way you set up a VPN whereas with PAN you have to jump around quite a bit to set one up. To me Cisco = Microsoft and Palo Alto = Apple. Just two different schools of thought accomplishing the same mission. God bless!
@@NetworkAdminLife I'm a Palo user too. I also use Forti. I have to agree with you, Palo is intense, especially if you're operating in profile mode. Just wish it wasn't so expensive. The annual sub costs keep going up and never seem to end.
Not sure. I think it has to do with which side was initiating the tunnel. My side was denying the return handshaking coming back from the other side. Not sure why it accepted the handshakes when the other side initiated the connection. I said in the video that firewalls are not my forte. Wish I had an answer for you. God bless!
As a current Fortinet Fortigate former Cisco Firepower guy it always amazes me how different the same thing looks between firewalls.

When defining proxy id’s it means it’s a policy based vpn. When leaving proxy id’s blank its a route based. Don’t know if Cisco supports route based.
That makes two of us. Back when I was managing a Cisco PIX we didn't have any VPN tunnels. God bless!
If the issue was a deny on the firewall, why would it initially work and then fail?
