I was under the impression that the true name was actually Natasha since that's her birth name. Igwilv is her fey persona and Tasha is her wizard persona. I should go back and read it again.
That’s not quite correct, either. Natasha and Tasha are interchangeable. Natasha as a child and Tasha as her adult nickname or pseudonym (the Dark). Iggwilv is her fiend name - or perhaps her “married” name ala Persephone. Zybilna is new; her fey name. I’m quite suspicious of her current machinations.
This was uploaded the day before my final session so amazing timing! Thanks for all of your videos, they have helped me tremendously through out Icewind Dale and now Wild Beyond the Witchlight campaigns which were my first 2 campaigns to DM!
re jabberwock: I pumped up the HP so the players could have a fun fight that wasn't over in the first round (they had snicker-snack). The players were Blessed and had Emboldening Bond, if they didn't have that, they would have been failing the Burble save almost every round. But I knew they were going to get buffed up, which is another reason I pumped up the HP (to about 300).
@@NoFunAllowed If I didn't do this, they would have killed it in 1 or 2 rounds. I'm not going to TPK them, so I might as well have the fight last a few rounds so the PC can enjoy some combat, which the adventure is light on.
Thanks you so much for this! Very entertaining and useful. 3 of my players are Aarakocra and 1 is a Fairy. The Jabberwocky will blessing for me and will be such a nightmare for my party! Now they'll have a reason to fear the sky and not just fly everywhere. Not above 80-100ft at least. They are already used to air combat from other games but never had a large predator in the sky.
We have had a lot of fun with the Harengon bagpipe players since that first encounter. I think they could station a dozen Harengon pipers around the perimeter to play "Scotland the Brave" as loud as possible to confuse and drown out the Jabberwok.
Been watching these along my whole campaign, next session should be my last and it’s been peaks and valleys. First time DM, woven this module into my campaign and it’s been a difficult adjustment switching up how I run the games. Eager to get back to my main story but it’s been fun and I appreciate people like you to help give some perspective on how to run a module. My party seems ready to be done with all the fey craziness 😂 so thank you for the guidance! Hoping to end strong.
Thank you! I’ve been really looking forward to this one. I’ve seen some folks saying that the layout of Heart’s Desire leaves a lot to be desired. Too much fluff, layout doesn’t make sense, puzzles aren’t as rewarding as they could be, etc. Curious to hear your thoughts about it, if you have any!
My group is just now getting to Heart's Desire. I flavored in some boons and gifts that they received mid-crane flight either in a trance or a visitor as they ascend into the clouds out of eye sight of each other. The full coven will be there and Im excited to see how they dispatch of them. They have true RP hatred for these 3 (esp Granny Nightshade) so it will be awesome to see the grand finale for them ^_^. I have a feeling they are going to Wish for an NPC to be brought back to life. A Campestrie they named "Song" from the Thither random encounter. It was crushed by the hag but they LOVED that NPC more than any other.
It seems sort of anti-climactic to go from defeating all the hags (the Big Bads for the whole campagin) to defeating the Jabberwocky (dangerous but not particularly strong; no emotional connection) to doing research to break the curse. It sort of seems that the most dramatic way to do it would be to do them all in the opposite order?
Any suggestion for follow premade campaign for the characters? I was thinking maybe Decent Into Avernus ( you can skip all the bad parts in the beginning ) or Tomb or Annihilation
Kobolds Press has a good follow up adventure in this setting called "Courts of the Shadow Fey" - having Zibbylna as a quest hook could tie these two closely together

I think it's great haha. Very reminiscent of old school play with how packed it is, and I think the rewards are fantastic!

I Just made the Jaberwack outride Imune to All dmg until it is get hit at lest once by Snicker-Snack
I think covering ears works fine. But both hands are now occupied

Sending your players to Avernus would certainly be a shakeup after this campaign haha!
