So useful thank you so much. I didn’t know this and I was lucky enough to end up with the good one and it’s worked flawlessly. I’ve written and rewritten dozens of crystals with no issues.
Update: received the rfid with the blue screen. I ran into the issue mentioned... but after updating the device I was able write codes given. It takes patience to find the sweet spot on crystal. I marked my crystal and placed it a certain way on the rfid writer. Takes a few tries but I've tried all the colors. Patience is key. Well updating rfid as well... but patience, if you end up with a blue screen rfid. Oh and I placed crystal in middle and slightly turned to left.
At first my Zonsin zx-08cd only write kyber crystal once but then found out if put crystal in tablespoon and lay reader on it works great. Spoon must magnify signal I guess. I was afraid I got the bad RFID unit even though looked like the right one above but just needed to do spoon trick. Thanks for video was very helpful.
I'm sure your video must of caught the attention of the chins, I purchased mine in 2022 and the startup screen changed, it does not display any name of company or brand. there is a new disclaimer notice and then goes back to screen "IC Type - A" and the one I purchased the screen color background is the same as one on right side of your video 4:22 but in reality I would have to test it further simply because many makers from china can change things around to look similar to other devices.
I have an OBO hands device. Although I have not trried it with Kyber crystals. I have doen it with other 125kHz tags. The thing is that the antenna is located differently on mine, you have to hold it on top of the device, not on the screen, but if you look at top of it, there's a little plastic rectangle. If you place it there it reads and writes just fine.
I bought one before seeing this video. Fortunately, mine is the good one. Off thing about mine is that it says "Write failed" every time, even though it is actually successfully writing the code. I've been able to successfully change to all 6 colors.
This is very interesting and I'm wondering if the RFID tag in one of the Kyber Crystals I have has been wiped. When I plug the crystal into the hilt, it does not light up. I'm wondering if I buy one of these RFID reader/writers if I can fix it. I know I could probably buy a new crystal online for less but then I wouldn't get to do other fun stuff.
you should contact Disney merchandise guest services at merchandise.guest.services@disneyparks.com or call 877-560-6477. the rfid chip in the crystal is probably dead. i've heard this happened many times to others before and even experienced this myself. it's not a matter of needing to reprogram it, the chip itself is broken and cannot be reprogrammed.
@@Ruthsarian Thank you for the reply. I picked these up last year right during the reservations period prior to Galaxy's Edge Opening. I'm having some trouble with them being willing to send me just a crystal. At least they requested some additional information and have told me I should know something in two weeks.
I just recently made mine, and when I did, the Crystal didn't activate the chassis when initially placed in, so they grabbed a new chassis before continuing and I haven't had issues since. If possible try to use the Crystal in a different chassis to verify the issue, but I could see it being an issue of having multiple chassis
I just got the good one (Zonsin), for my kid & his kyber. Sadly, can't get it to work (read and write failures). Our model had an elastic strap attached to the back. (It's meant to hold a card). Is it possible they've changed something and it will not work? We cut off the strap in case it interferes. Unfortunately no change. We've tried roating the kyber in all possible ways, always read failures. I assume we need the "ID 125khz" mode and note "HID 125khz" but we've tried both. Suggestions?
It's possible Disney has started adding passwords to the RFID tags. As soon as they do that, changing the tags won't be possible unless someone figures out the password. However I know crystals purchased as recently as a month ago were still not locked. While it's possible, I don't think that's happened. It could be that it is changing the RFID tag, but just unable to read the crystal. After you try writing the new number a few times, pop the crystal into a Savi's Workshop hilt or a holocron and see if the new color/voice is there. You could also try opening up the RFID writer and placing the crystal right in the middle of the copper wire loop that's used for the antenna. The case is held together with screws. As it comes apart, be careful as the wire and speaker are usually held in place on the back side of the shell and need to be unclipped to fully open it up. Or maybe you can fit the crystal in between the two halves of the case. Any chance you could take a picture of the first screen that appears when it turns on and post it somewhere that I could see?
@@Ruthsarian Thank you kindly for your reply. I have a good news update. The third kyber crystal we tried worked! It still usually takes my kid ~5 tries to read or write it, but it is consistent. It is the most recent one we bought, just a few weeks ago: a purple "Galaxy's Edge" one from Amazon sold by ABM Enterprises. My kid noticed that it was thinner than the other two we had (a blue one from Savi's Workshop @ Disneyland, and a red one bought last year on Amazon.) Have you noticed that the crystals come in significantly different dimensions? He thought to try that - even tho he intended to reprogram just the red one - because he noticed the ones in your videas are thinner than the red & blue ones we have. So we can conclude the thicker ones may just be blocking signals from this reader/writer. Again, our writer has the same Zonsin startup screen (and interface background, etc.) shown in your video, but has that elastic strap at the back to hold a card.
@@redrocklobster that's good to hear! there are three different sizes of crystal: a thin, a medium, and a thick. There is some debate that there may be a second, slightly differently shaped medium crystal. the RFID tags in kyber crystals have a small antenna in them that isn't very powerful compared to more typical RFID tags that the zonsin and other RFID writers are designed for. that leads to difficulty trying to write to them and you're definitely not alone in finding some of your crystals can't be written to no matter which way you hold it. it's possible the extra distance created by the larger crystals is enough to put the RFID tag out of range of the zonsin reader.
Do you have other crystals and it works with them, just not your yellow or do you only have the yellow? If you have others and those work, it's possible the yellow has a weak RFID signal. I have found a few kyber crystals that seem to have weaker than usual RFID signals. If you only have the yellow you could try writing to it anyways. Some writers will write even if they can't read the RFID tag. Note that when you do write, it'll say the write failed (because it can't read the RFID tag to confirm the write). You'll have to try the crystal in your holocron or hilt to see if the write worked.
it will not put a password on the RFID tag you read (the original). it's only when you write to an RFID tag (the duplicate) that it adds a password to it.
I'm not sure. I haven't tried, but I'm guessing it's not possible. Microcontrollers have a feature that prevents copying their programming and it's likely enabled on those in these RFID readers. Another issue is not all of these RFID readers use the same hardware. Assuming I can take the firmware off one reader, I may not be able to apply it to another reader because it'll have a different microcontroller.
it's really hard to know if you're getting a good or bad writer based on just the listings on ebay, amazon, or aliexpress nowadays. i've heard from people who ordered one with pictures that looked like the zonsin one and they received an obo hands one. i recommend finding a proxmark3. even the sketch listings are usually good. it's just a headache to get it loaded with firmware and learning how to use it. but imo the effort and headache are worth it. i've also been hearing from a couple people that new wayfinders don't like crystals programmed with even a good zonsin (which is frustrating). but pm3 modified crystals work fine.
@@Ruthsarian mine dose say "obo hands ns208". Most times it will say write fail even though has written to the kyber crystal. I know I have a blue crystal I've changed like 5+ times. As to where I got it, I think it was aliexpress.com but I got it months ago and I can't remember exactly.
that would work, but whatever external chip you're cloning from would need to have a valid kyber crystal number on it first. that means you probably need to program the external chip first with a different RFID writer. and it's likely if it can program the external chip, it can also program the kyber crystal as well.
how to copy 135 khz rfid, i bought alot rfid readers and could not read it. the key fob it says "stanley" and you may think who did he know 135 khz i just got it from discriptoin on amazon when i type "stanley". if any one have experince on this please let me know.
If I understood correctly, since I used the bad one first and wrote once onto a crystal, does that mean even if I get the good writer it won’t work because the bad writer locked the crystal?
Maybe. Maybe not. These handheld writers will try a few different passwords. If you get a good writer it may be able to write to your crystal because the password used by the old writer that's locked your crystal is known by the good writer. If not, it's still possible to unlock the crystal, but you're going to need different hardware, like a Proxmark3 Easy. The PM3 will cost you around $50-60. It is also not a simple and easy thing to use, but there is software and documentation online that will help get it up and running. With the PM3 you can send commands to change the password and configuration of the kyber crystal's RFID tag, you just need to know what password was used in the first place to lock the crystal. In my Galaxy's Edge research spreadsheet I've figured out the passwords used by a few different devices. It's possible you're using the same device as one I've figured out the passwords for. You can see the list of devices and their passwords here: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/13P_GE6tNYpGvoVUTEQvA3SQzMqpZ-SoiWaTNoJoTV9Q/edit#gid=1809632326 It will likely be one of these 4 passwords: 7686962A, F9DCEBA0, 2A968676, 84AC15E2
RFID writers work on kyber crystals. The only lightsabers that use kyber crystals are those built inside Savi's Workshop. Savi's Workshop recently introduced new outer shell elements. Those elements are decorative and don't change the functionality of the hilt or the kyber crystal. Legacy lightsabers do not use kyber crystals and therefore RFID writers do not work on them.
Update UPDATE: I got the jank OBO Hands one, i've heard reports of some people getting it working fine, where would i position the kyber to write to it?
If you saw my previous reply, which I deleted, ignore it. TL;DR: try to return the OBO Hands writer and see if you can find one with the red background elsewhere. DO NOT USE IT. The OBO Hands RFID reader/writer cannot read kyber crystals at all. It can write to them. Once. After you write a number to the kyber crystal, the OBO Hands reader enables a configuration flag in the RFID tag that requires the writer to "log in" with the password before writing the new value. OBO Hands doesn't perform this "log in" step. So the first time it writes, it works because this "log in" flag isn't set. It writes the value to the kyber crystal and sets this "log in" flag (for whatever reason) and cannot write to that crystal again. So you get one change per kyber crystal with the OBO Hands RFID writer. On top of that, it sets a password on the crystal too! This will prevent other RFID writers from being able to change the RFID tag in the kyber crystal. I do know some of the passwords used by OBO Hands. I've included them on my RFID Reader/Writer Hardware tab on my GE research spreadsheet found here: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/13P_GE6tNYpGvoVUTEQvA3SQzMqpZ-SoiWaTNoJoTV9Q/edit#gid=1809632326 Those passwords are only useful if you have a device that lets you enter them, such as a Proxmark 3. For most people though, it's useless.
@@Ruthsarian Ok, so WILD twist of events. I got the crystal that I rewrote with the OBO Hands and was stuck, I have the good rfid writer with me, and then I tried rewriting, AND IT WORKED! It appears that OBO Hands, at least the more recent NS208 models is still having the issue, but apparently Zonsin or whatever company managed to workaround the lock on the crystal. It says write failed, but I read the crystal after rewriting it, it read the rewrote id. So, in a magical twist of events, I don’t need a proxmark 3.

I hope you go back through and read comments on old videos. is there any chance you could revisit the OBO Hands NS208 reader and investigate further why it will only write once and what might be done to correct that issue? I only ask because I tried myself to get the correct one off of amazon, and ended up with the wrong version. Was hoping I could just deal with the obo hands one instead of going through the whole returning and ordering a different one and hoping I get the correct one.
Also, have you tried the OBO hands version while attached to a windows computer running the software that you can download for it? maybe different results or better information from the program.
i'll pull out my NS208 and see what i can see, but as I recall it's a firmware issue. the only way to fix it would be to somehow find new firmware and reprogram the device with the new firmware.
@@brentonmucklow5647 I went and documented (in too much detail) the commands the OBO hands is sending to write to an RFID tag. You can see all that information here: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/13P_GE6tNYpGvoVUTEQvA3SQzMqpZ-SoiWaTNoJoTV9Q/edit#gid=1859397091 Long story short: I think there's a timing issue with the firmware. It looks like it's sending the correct commands to write to an RFID tag, however whenever it sends a "login" command, the next command it sends happens too quickly and the RFID tag ignores both commands. the first write works because there are two commands that do NOT immediately follow a login command, one writes the new RFID tag ID value and the second locks the crystal requiring any future writes only happen after a successful login command. because the login command is bugged, it never sends a valid login command, so it can never write to the crystal again after enabling the write protection. so... unless there's a way to update the firmware on the device, there's nothing that can be done to save the OBO Hands, at least with respect to stock kyber crystals. custom kyber crystals that use T5557 tags instead of EM4305 tags should work fine with it.
the first one (blue case) can write to kyber crystals, but it can only copy other crystals. you can't tell it what number to write, you can only give it a second crystal to copy, then write the number of the second crystal to the first one.
I’ve been unfortunate and locked my kyber crystals and now need the proxmark rfid kit to fix them. Can you do a tutorial using the proxmark to change The rfid tags on the kyber crystals?
I will, but it may be a little while. So here is the command to send to the proxmark 3 that will unlock the crystal. lf em 4x05writeword a 4 d 0001805F p 00000000 It will respond with "write verified" if it worked. I have found that I need to hold my crystals maybe 1 inch or so above the antenna in order to get it to write successfully. I often have to enter the command, it will fail, then I'll press the up button (which loads the previous command) and then hit enter (to execute the command) many times in a row while I make very small adjustments in the height of the crystal above the antenna. That may be a product of me having bought a Chinese clone of a Proxmark3 and the antenna not being designed quite right. But it does eventually work.
@@dvdcomic follow the steps here: github.com/Proxmark/proxmark3/wiki/Windows#getting-started You can also look at the ProxSpace instructions here, which are essentially the same, but might be a little easier to follow: github.com/Gator96100/ProxSpace/ Alternatively look here: enterthecore.net/proxspace/ I haven't used that site's instructions, but it has all the software precompiled for you so you are able to at least skip the time-consuming setup of setting up an environment to compile the software.

@@mikeadams9725 i've heard from some others that newer zonsin devices behave like that. they still can change the crystal value, but they can't read them. i've also seen OBO Hands versions which can't read, but can write, but can only write ONCE and then can't write again. it's bugs in the firmware and unfortunately there isn't much that can be done about it.
What is the Proxmark command line that woule be used to correct the Chrystals if they have been locked by a "bad" RFID reader/writer? i did this and locked two of my 3 chrystals and was hoping you could help clear the locks off of them.
it depends on the version of software you're using. i use the standard Proxmark3 client and the command is lf em 4x05writeword a 4 d 0001805F p 00000000 if you type "lf em" in your pm3 client it'll list all the commands and if you see 4x05writeword is a command then this should work.

Ok so i got the correct one (at least pretty sure, similar to another comment its the zonsin full featured one which was said to be ok). But the red one i can write to as much as i want. Is something different with the yellow crystals?
I will also mention with the red it does say write failed most of the time (sometimes it says success) but still writes it and works even if it says fail. Just the yellow for some reason can never write

Hi Ruthsarian, I locked a crystial with the obins device and so I bought a proxmark easy. It can read the locked kyber crystal but cannot write using the commands you posted in other comments. I'm using the command "lf em 4x05writeword a 4 d 0001805F p 00000000" and get the message "Error occurred, device did not respond during write operation." I tried multiple positions of the crystal above the antenna. Fwiw, when I search the crystal using the lm search command it reads it fine, but says "Valid EM410x ID Found!" I note that in your other comments it should see it as an EM4x05 chip? Any ideas?
Near the end of all the output from the "lf search" command should be a line stating it's an EM4x05 chip. If you don't see that message then you need to keep trying different positions until it appears. Here are a couple photos for reference with how I place the crystal for my proxmark3: imgur.com/a/jiebtj5 The difference between the proxmark3 not seeing the crystal and getting it into a perfect position can be a matter of just a couple millimeters. You're most of the way there. It sees the crystal. Now make very small adjustments in its position. Keep trying. It will see it as an EM4x05 tag and then the write command will work.
Update: I bought a LEXI RFID Writer, returned my one (the original one you showed first.) the LEXI gets here on Tuesday. Can you confirm the LEXI works w/the Kybers?
the first one i show in this video, the blue rfid writer, is what I think you're referring to as a "LEXI" RFID writer. that device does work with kyber crystals. however it's a cloner, meaning you cannot enter a number to write to a crystal, you can only have it read an existing RFID tag first, then write whatever value it read from the first RFID tag to a second RFID tag. you can use it to clone kyber crystals.
@@tyleranimated2334 interesting! i don't have a LEXI brand RFID writer with an LCD screen. it may be a rebranded version of one of the writers in this video, or it may be one that has a new (hopefully better) firmware. i would be interested to hear how it goes.

I'm pretty sure I just ordered a bad one, but at least I saw this video before bricking one of my crystals. But I have a question, if I get some blank 125khz chips with the intention of casting my own crystals, can I use the bad writer to attach proper working codes to these blank chips?
It depends on what type of RFID chip they are. If the chips you're getting are EM4035 then you'll be able to write to them once and that'll be it, just like kyber crystals. If they're T5577 type RFID chips then you're probably going to be okay.
Using password 0 on the Proxmark3 seems to not work after writing the crystal on the Zonsin. I'm able to see address 0 and 1 consistently when dumped but the rest of the addresses fail. I can't write an address either using a password value of 0 or not. It seems that the Zonsin that I'm using has placed a non-zero password for read and write login. I can still use the Zonsin again to change the crystal at will however. I know my Proxmark3 is working because I can dump and write to another crystal that was never written on the Zonsin. Have you tried to change a crystal on the Proxmark3 after writing it on the Zonsin (not OBO Hands)?

It's hard to know which is a 'good' RFID writer. All the listings on Amazon and elsewhere use the same stock images which may or may not match with the actual hardware you receive. I got the read writer and it works to change the color of the lightsaber blades! Only caveat is that the read writer says it fails unlike the one that is shown in these videos.
Hi Douglas how did you updated ur device
Thanking you in advance
You are a great resource of information for these RFID writers to modify Kyber crystals. Keep up the excellent work and wonderful vids sir.
Thanks for the Teaspoon Idea, mine did not work - read failure no matter what, then I tried a teaspoon and no problem.
Got a 2022 Zonsin (red, prefix zeros, just the bottom filed text is little longer) and couldn't read or write crystals :/
I had this same problem with my sons, but luckily we were still at the park and could take it back to Savi's and get a replacement.
do you know how to use an rc522 to write, because I couldn't get it to read or write.
RC522 is for a different type of RFID tag and will not work with kyber crystals.
I am having the exact same issues you had. I ended up trying a couple skinnier crystals and they read just fine. The medium and large do not.
I got tyhe zonsin one but it wont read my yellow crystal no matter where i try it,.
Sorry for a late comment, but with the generic rfid copier (the first one), does it password protect the original or the duplicate or both?
it will not put a password on the RFID tag you read (the original). it's only when you write to an RFID tag (the duplicate) that it adds a password to it.
Hi there do you know if it is possible to copy the zonsin firmware on the RFID Reader ?
I'm not sure. I haven't tried, but I'm guessing it's not possible. Microcontrollers have a feature that prevents copying their programming and it's likely enabled on those in these RFID readers. Another issue is not all of these RFID readers use the same hardware. Assuming I can take the firmware off one reader, I may not be able to apply it to another reader because it'll have a different microcontroller.
Anyone know where i can purchase a zonsin reader/writer? I see some titled as zonsin but they all seem so sketch lol.
it's really hard to know if you're getting a good or bad writer based on just the listings on ebay, amazon, or aliexpress nowadays. i've heard from people who ordered one with pictures that looked like the zonsin one and they received an obo hands one.
i recommend finding a proxmark3. even the sketch listings are usually good. it's just a headache to get it loaded with firmware and learning how to use it. but imo the effort and headache are worth it. i've also been hearing from a couple people that new wayfinders don't like crystals programmed with even a good zonsin (which is frustrating). but pm3 modified crystals work fine.
Could you please check the data of the access control card? Not modify
Hello, dear friend. Could you post the software that came with the device? The seller sent me a device with empty storage ..
I have the one with the blue screen, I have not had really and problem writing to a my kyber Crystal.
when it starts up, does yours say "obo hands"? also, do you have a link to where you bought yours?
@@Ruthsarian mine dose say "obo hands ns208". Most times it will say write fail even though has written to the kyber crystal. I know I have a blue crystal I've changed like 5+ times. As to where I got it, I think it was aliexpress.com but I got it months ago and I can't remember exactly.
is it able to read kyber crystals too?
@@Ruthsarian no
Only a few times out of 20 or 30
I have the blue one, is there any way I could copy the code from an external chip, and not another kyber, then write it to it using that?
that would work, but whatever external chip you're cloning from would need to have a valid kyber crystal number on it first. that means you probably need to program the external chip first with a different RFID writer. and it's likely if it can program the external chip, it can also program the kyber crystal as well.
@@Ruthsarian I have a chip that I believe is compatible w/ my iPhone and the writer I have.
how to copy 135 khz rfid, i bought alot rfid readers and could not read it. the key fob it says "stanley" and you may think who did he know 135 khz i just got it from discriptoin on amazon when i type "stanley". if any one have experince on this please let me know.
You can see the list of devices and their passwords here:
docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/13P_GE6tNYpGvoVUTEQvA3SQzMqpZ-SoiWaTNoJoTV9Q/edit#gid=1809632326
It will likely be one of these 4 passwords: 7686962A, F9DCEBA0, 2A968676, 84AC15E2
Do RFID readers still work on the newer lightsabers?
RFID writers work on kyber crystals. The only lightsabers that use kyber crystals are those built inside Savi's Workshop.
Savi's Workshop recently introduced new outer shell elements. Those elements are decorative and don't change the functionality of the hilt or the kyber crystal.
Legacy lightsabers do not use kyber crystals and therefore RFID writers do not work on them.
Is there any way to write a kyber crystal with the first one mentioned? Or do you HAVE to copy a code?
you have to copy a code
I've included them on my RFID Reader/Writer Hardware tab on my GE research spreadsheet found here:
docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/13P_GE6tNYpGvoVUTEQvA3SQzMqpZ-SoiWaTNoJoTV9Q/edit#gid=1809632326
Those passwords are only useful if you have a device that lets you enter them, such as a Proxmark 3.

You can see all that information here: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/13P_GE6tNYpGvoVUTEQvA3SQzMqpZ-SoiWaTNoJoTV9Q/edit#gid=1859397091
Long story short: I think there's a timing issue with the firmware.
So would the first one work I’m tryna get one for changing crystals but I’m on a budget
the first one (blue case) can write to kyber crystals, but it can only copy other crystals. you can't tell it what number to write, you can only give it a second crystal to copy, then write the number of the second crystal to the first one.
I’ve been unfortunate and locked my kyber crystals and now need the proxmark rfid kit to fix them. Can you do a tutorial using the proxmark to change The rfid tags on the kyber crystals?
I will, but it may be a little while. So here is the command to send to the proxmark 3 that will unlock the crystal.
lf em 4x05writeword a 4 d 0001805F p 00000000
It will respond with "write verified" if it worked.

Here are a couple photos for reference with how I place the crystal for my proxmark3: imgur.com/a/jiebtj5
The difference between the proxmark3 not seeing the crystal and getting it into a perfect position can be a matter of just a couple millimeters. You're most of the way there. It sees the crystal. Now make very small adjustments in its position. Keep trying. It will see it as an EM4x05 tag and then the write command will work.

the first one i show in this video, the blue rfid writer, is what I think you're referring to as a "LEXI" RFID writer. that device does work with kyber crystals. however it's a cloner, meaning you cannot enter a number to write to a crystal, you can only have it read an existing RFID tag first, then write whatever value it read from the first RFID tag to a second RFID tag. you can use it to clone kyber crystals.
@@Ruthsarian No, LEXI made a second one, the one I refer to. They’re like the ones with the LCD screen

It depends on what type of RFID chip they are. If the chips you're getting are EM4035 then you'll be able to write to them once and that'll be it, just like kyber crystals. If they're T5577 type RFID chips then you're probably going to be okay.
What about EM4305?
Kyber crystals use EM4305 tags in them. So the problems the OBO Hands writer has with kyber crystals will also be had by other EM4305 RFID tags.

Were you ever able to remove the Read Login bit set by the Zonsin on a crystal by using the Proxmark 3 Easy?
yup! ruclips.net/video/o_LeK3G1KKo/видео.html

I can still use the Zonsin again to change the crystal at will however. I know my Proxmark3 is working because I can dump and write to another crystal that was never written on the Zonsin. I was browsing different ones from various sites for AGES. and reading all the comments to see if someone had tried the RFID writer with the crystals. i just purchased this one (www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DPGKM76/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and I can letcha know if it works or not so others don't go through the same loop of amazon/ebay/aliexpress!
I've managed to get my Proxmark to read my crystal and it doesn't seem to show as much detail, it just:
[usb] pm3 --> lf search
[=] NOTE: some demods output possible binary
[=] if it finds something that looks like a tag
[=] False Positives ARE possible
[=]
[=] Checking for known tags...
[+] Valid EM410x ID found!
Then when I use the write code it only show the below:
[usb] pm3 --> lf em 4x05_write 4 0001805F 00000000
Writing address 4 data 0001805F using password 00000000
Write could not be verified
Still unable to write from my RFID reader, any thoughts?
Thanks again for your help
keep changing the position of the crystal until lf search specifically mentions that it found an em4x05 tag.
i find i need to hold the crystal verticallt about an inch above the antenna. yours may be different. just keep trying different positions. it may take many tries.
@@Ruthsarian Thanks, i managed to get it to read the em4x05 tag but the write still doesn't verify, is the command im using correct?

keep making very small adjustments both in height and lateral position of the crystal and keep entering that command (use the up arrow to repeat the last command) and spam that command as you keep making adjustments. you will get it in the sweet spot and it will say write verified.
it's frustrating, but you will get it.
the command you're using is correct.
@@Ruthsarian After fiddling around with the crystal positioning I managed to get both my crystals to write and now all the codes work with my Zonsin RFID reader. As a note when the command worked it just said ( Writing address 4 data 0001805F using password 00000000) and that's all, just in case it pops up in the future.
I also used the alternative set up ( enterthecore.net/proxspace/) to get the software and it worked perfectly as an fyi.
Thank you so much for your help, you are a hero!
what do y'all use kyber crystal for?
For your lightsaber. Galaxy edge lightsabers.
Also holocrons
I used the jank OBOhands one first, and now I have a Zonsin one. Is it literally impossible to change the crystal now?
it's not impossible. it can be fixed with a device called a proxmark3. however the cheapest version, the proxmark3 easy, will cost you around $60. then there's some headache in setting up the software to use it.
it is possible to fix, but is it worth fixing? do you have other crystals or is that the only one?
Ruthsarian I’m trying to go ahead and buy a new one on offerup 👍
Can rfid apps on iOS work with these?
iOS devices don't support RFID natively. you would need to buy some kind of external device that plugs into it, but i'm not familiar with such devices.
Ruthsarian my mother has readers from Oregon rfid and from biomark, would these work? Also what is the frequency of the crystals

Can u put a AliExpress Link into the Comments?
I have not purchased a good writer from AliExpress so I do not have a link to one that I can provide. The good writer I purchased off eBay from this link:
www.ebay.com/itm/183821082563
That purchase was made about a year ago. I don't know if they're selling a different version now or if it's the same as the good version I bought.
I have one of the wrong ones, I have spoken with the supplier and they have sent me a link to software they said should update the reader. I have no idea what to do, if anyone wants to have a look and see if it does something, here is the link www.rf-card.com/wcopy/soft/wbw/nfcproen.rar
Hi friend. Can you update the link?
Have you tried this scanner before: www.amazon.com/125Khz-EM4305-Reader-programmer-Rewritable/dp/B0723BPFR4 Would it be better then the proxmark3 easy?
I have not tried that writer.
Thank y ok so much for saving me money!
Man i wish i watched this earlier 😪

I have the one on the right if anyone wants to buy it for $25 lmk
Hi, is that able to read/write crystals? Then I'm really interested. @AK47z
or save your money
I got the read writer and it works to change the color of the lightsaber blades! Only caveat is that the read writer says it fails unlike the one that is shown in these videos.
