  • @nannaisonyoutube - Shot at St Dunstan in the East, London - November 2023
Ten years ago, we filmed Nanna with her band @monstersandmen the streets of Rome. So when we heard that she was releasing her first solo album 'How To Start A Garden', we couldn't resist but to invite her to play in… a garden. London is full of hidden gems - planted in the middle of a modern buildings neighborhood stands a church in ruins. Completely out of time and place. In the garden, we had to make our way between curious tourists, a young & dressed-up married couple, art students in the middle of a photoshoot, and of course squirrels roaming around. In order to get the calm we needed, we took the gardener for a cup of tea to stop him using his leaf blower. Can you get more British than that? But when the music strarted, it was a moment of epiphany. She has this rare ability to create deeply moving moments of catharsis out of the most delicate songs. Nanna was joined by two angelic singers, their three voices melting beautifully. A certain feeling of easiness floated in the air, and it might just reach you as you watch this. 'If you don't know, if you can see in colours / How do I know that you can see me now?'.
Additional vocals by Rakel & Salóme Katrín
Filmed & directed by James Hough
    Sound direction by Max McNeilly
    Production by Esther Blondel
    Assisted by Alice Delalle
Special thanks to Gary the Gardener

In the symphony of life, music bridges the gap between fantasy and reality, making us feel connected even when the world seems out of touch.

All your voices were so wonderful together. The video and why you guys chose the location is pretty cool too. I especially liked that you were all just doing your things as life moved around you.

Nanna’s music is really cool but I also highly recommend everyone also listens to the other two’s (RAKEL and Salome Katrin’s) music as it’s so underrated and good especially ‘quietly’
    Everyone is sleeping on it!

    lyrics:
    My tangled love,
we are twisted, morphing into one.
    Somehow I feel,
    though it's frightening,
this is forever, eternal, and all.

I cannot hold you but it's harder
to let you go than try.
If you don't know if you can see in colours,
how do I know that you can see me now?

    I wouldn't have built a hollow tower
if I would've known the height.
If you don't know if you can see in colours
how do I know that you can see me now?

    My tangled love,
    we're morphing in unpredictable ways.
    But who starts? Who starts?
Are you the ocean? Am I the cliffs up ahead?

I cannot hold you but it's harder
to let you go than try.
If you don't know if you can see in colours,
how do I know that you can see me now?

    I wouldn't have built a hollow tower
if I would've known the height.
If you don't know if you can see in colours,
how do I know that you can see me now?

I cannot keep you, but it's harder
to let you go this time.
If you don't know if you can see in colours,
how do I know that you can see me now?

    I wouldn't have built a hollow tower
if I would've known we'd be like the vine.
If you don't know, if you can see the colours,
how do I know that you can see me now?

    My tangled love,
we are twisted, morphing into one.
