- On this episode, we explore the inland part of Kalbarri and visit the beautiful gorges in Kalbarri National Park.
As the weather forecast announces great conditions and we still have few days until our Dirk Hartog trip, we decide to head back to Lucky Bay for more beach fun! We stop on the way to admire the epic rugged cliffs along the coastline.
In Lucky Bay, Chris goes spearfishing twice a day and catches a couple more crays! Surrounded by sand dunes, we cook up feasts and enjoy the amazing sunsets every night!
Stay tuned for Episode 23 next Friday - the first Dirk Hartog episode!

Loved the diagram about the batteries. Your explanation was great, thank you guys. Safe travels.
Awesome drone footage!!
Thanks a lot Tahir!
Another awesome episode guys! That water is incredible. Can't wait for the next one!
yeah the boys!
Lucky couple🍀
What a ripper of a video, great spearfishing as well, must feel good to be eating fresh fish all the time.. keep up the great work and thanks for sharing
Cheers shad
Another really nice video. I would love to hear Ang do her part in French sometime (with subtitles)!
Thanks Robert! Good to know, I will do that at some stage then and make sure to add subtitles ahah
Absolutely amazing guys... great food caught by your own hand , a perfect view and your best friend..doesn’t get much better than that!!
Thanks Scott for watching, more to come! :)
Another great video! Would love to see a review on the awning and the Coleman stove you use - have been looking to buy both but would love to hear what you think of them using them full time! Cant wait to see your time on Dirk Hartog!
Thank you so much! We've been trying to film the awning review multiple times but always get too windy ahah, we need to do it soon! We'll do the Coleman too then! Cheers again for following along :)
Looks like you have a similar set up to my second battery. I always run the charge from the main battery through the solenoid controller so it doesn’t over charge the battery box.
The plug died due to load when you connect a flat battery to a full one they want to balance out so you get a rush of power between the two I measured my old system at 60 amps I got caught out once when I pulled over to air up the tyres after a weekend at the beach after 15 minutes the crank battery had discharged into the fridge battery and I had to get jump started. Also the distance from the alternator to the battery is important the longer run the greater the voltage drop and the less charge to the house battery only solution is big cables or a DC to DC charger mounted close to the house battery
Good to know. Yes definitely need to get a DC-DC charger
You need to add a dcdc charger between your alternater and your house battery,
What this does is boost your charge coming from the alternater, back to 50 amps before it goes to your house battery, correct cable sizing is critical, as drop in amperage effects charge rate, this unit from ( ENERDRIVE ) is brilliant
IT ALSO IS AN MPPT CONTROLER, so now your solar can run through it up to 800 watts , cost around $450, and a bit for cables and fixings, performance is awesome,
I run a 30 an 11 liter freezer permanent for 3 yrs , no problems, twin 190 amp batteries gel, lights charging ,
Great videos ,new subscriber, Davi b, 😎
Hi guys, Awesome episode, fantastic scenery and drone footage, good to see plenty of joy with the spearfishing also, how are you going with your underwater breathing Chris?
Thanks Chris! It's getting better for sure. It definitely helps when the water is a bit warmer and I don't have a tiring swim to get to a spot. Taking the snorkel out of my mouth before I dive helps a lot too - I don't get the weird pressire feeling from it
Amazing content, incredible lifestyle! Already suscribed, looking forward to the next one. It would be good too see some more content about the spear fishing. 🍻 great content!
Thank you so much Alexander! We are hoping for more spearfishing around Ningaloo reef, stay tuned :)
Great video!! A little bit of everything, spear fishing, Jeeping, cooking. Watching is a great escape. What drone are you using?
Thank you so much! We try to include a little bit of all aspects of our lives :) Glad to hear you enjoy it! We use Mavic Pro 2!
looks like an amazing way to live
It was definitely one of the best decisions of our lives!
Another great vid guys! we just got some super peg sand screws and they are unreal you should have some so easy with a small rattle gun or a drill to install
Thank you so much :) Good to know cheers! We just got some sand pegs which should be much better than our previous ones ha
Another good one guys. I can’t wait to get to WA. Cheers Steve
Thank you so much Steve! When will you head to WA? So much to explore you will love it!
@@TheOutFit Don't know how soon but I know I cant wait. Cheers Steve
Great video..When you do shots of the jeep driving a long way off use an attachment on the drone to bring your camera to you.
Thanks Warren! Ahah that would be handy
Nice video, Greetings from Nicaragua 👍
That's awesome! Thanks Jose, hope all is well in Nicaragua!
Awesome views - the general on the beach...doesn’t get better than that - looks nothing like Connecticut- lol!!!
Thanks Dana! Beach driving in the Jeep was so much fun :) How is the terrain like in Connecticut?
The OutFit - Trails are full of slick rocks (diff-grabbers), tree roots, mud, small streams and most are narrow - usually need to be part of club for private land access for most part...very fun!!
Hi guys just watching your video about your battery Setup
Just wondering if you have a regulator connected from the starter battery to the second battery
As I think, you could be over charging the second battery if connected straight though
But awesome videos and travels, we are enjoying your content :)
Heya, thank you, yes I forgot to mention there is a regulator built into the batery box that the secondary battery sits in.
Cool👍
Have u considered a dcdc charger that has mppt solar controller built in? Pick Ur flavour - redarc/projecta/kings they all do em.
I don't know too much about the dcdc chargers to be honest. Does it increase the input from the solar and distribute charge more effectively?
Hi guys, Your non charging issue is how you have wired it up. Firstly your smart alternator is not registering the second batteries usage (second battery earth must go to the vehicles chassis, not the earth terminal on the start battery). and/ or won't charge it as it is getting a reading off your solar input 13.2 v so it thinks it's charged up, that's why the smart alternator will not produce current to charge the rear battery. Also there's a few basic, low cost control items you need to have in place for circuit safety. Any elec help you need email me on leighmcqualter@yahoo.com.au
Kiwi?
Chur bro. Yeah man proud af
@@TheOutFit love the content brother! I'm from taranaki. Living in aus planning to set of with the family by the end of the year
