- LGL arrives back to the nest in the afternoon to feed her chick. TF is wheeing up a storm and begging for his meal. LGL preens the top of TF's head and neck during the feeding (06:00 timestamp) This is a sweet gesture by LGL but TF just wants to be fed not preened lol Thank you for watching!

Yay TF got a nice feeding too!! 😊 he really was whee’ing up a storm 😄 he must have been hungry. He was also tapping mom’s bill like crazy! They really start to tap their parents bill a lot when they get to this stage don’t they! I guess this is when their demand for calories is at its highest, it seemed that way in the graph recently- the one that showed Manaaki was a whopping 12 kg! That’s 26.4 lbs! Unless I read the graph wrong. TF is sooo cute though 🥰🥰🥰 I’m glad he got a meal, and a lil preen too, so sweet of mom! Haha feed n’ preen, that’s adorable LH 😄 I always love hearing when they get a feed and preen 😊. Thank you for sharing! And for sharing that graph the other day too that was very interesting to read

Thank you for this beautiful video, dear Lady Hawk! TF may not have been in the mood for preens, but that was sweet to watch, coming from his mama, since she knows on some level, conscious or subconscious, that the "rhythm" of each season and that her time with each of her chicks is limited. Despite her chick doing such great begging (in case his mama has just one more swallow of her special recipe for him), she did manage to preen his head and a wee bit of his left side neck, where surely he cannot reach himself. It is good to see both chicks thriving under the care of their parents! ✨✨💖💖💗💗💖💖✨✨
