Really enjoyed this presentation. Dr Emeran was so humble in his speaking. Without doubt it was a challenge to put all his academic knowledge into language that the non scientific could grasp however he did so with patience and practical suggestions.
Seems the bottom line is eat the whole food plant based diet with fruit, vegetables, nuts, seeds and grains. I believe we read just this in the Bible and this is what we were created to process and enjoy for ultimate health. Dr. ,with the greatest respect for your views on evolution I truly believe God is showing you all these wonderful insights - to further the work with people which you love and also to draw you to Him. I will be praying for your journey. Looking forward to reading your books. Thank you so much.

Very interesting. Thank you. I understand when he speaks about micro-evolution of the species, but obviously differ on his views on macro-evolution. We are so obviously designed by an intelligent Creator! One thing: I'm trying to understand how suppressing the microbial response to stroke damage in the brain would be beneficial...Surely the microbial reaction should be a beneficial one? Or perhaps, this is only in a body that has a compromised immune system/compromised gut microbiome? The most interesting for me was the tiny distance that separates the microbes from the immune cells in the gut.

Yes. I want to read the philosophical book on microbial intelligence from this doctor. Yes. Please.

With all the respect, The contents of the above issue is showing again and again that we all, as humans, depend on what's happening in our gut. If there are missing some kind of microbes in the gut, there will be an unballance of the total microbes in the gut, and therefore, there is another kind of resolving this situation and restore the a.m. ballance and the good health of the gut.

Hi Jenny, you are correct. The unbalance of gut microbes contributes heavily to many chronic diseases and health-related conditions. Thanks for watching!

The Dr seems like a very nice person and extremely knowledgeable in his field, but could not watch past about 1/4 of it. He uses a lot of technical terms and seems to dance all around a question before finally coming around to an answer. Sort of. But he is obviously not a Christian. Not that that diminishes his knowledge any, but makes me feel bad for him . He mentioned evolution several times and I believe that God orchestrated all of these things happening in our bodies to keep us healthy. Unfortunately, humans have done so many things to the foods and diet (that most of us eat now) and that God originally provided for us to keep our body supplied with what it needs, that the food we eat now is so horribly far from the way that God intended for us to eat to keep us healthy. He mentioned that 'evolution' did not see what we would be doing to the food so it did not 'evolve' into making our system handle all these bad things. I say that man has done this to himself over the years. God knew what He was doing! It's mankind that has screwed up. And if we go back to eating the way God made available for us to keep all of these body functions running tip top (natural fruits, veggies, etc), we would be much better off!

Hi Maureen, thank you for your input. We are happy to hear from a wide range of listeners and we also love to hear about eating fresh fruits and vegetables. Best to you!
