This is all I want to do when I'm in Vietnam, buffet buffet buffet. I'll get my relative to take me lol... the food looks so delicious and money worth. Thanks Tim.
My dad and I would go surf fishing at the beaches in Southern California in the 1950's and my dad bought Razor Clams from the bait shop. I don't know of anyone here ever eating them in those days. Brings back nice memories, thanks, Melaney from SoCal
Oh wow what a fabulous buffet in Vietnam! That looks do fresh and inviting, the food looks amazing and really well presented. Thank you Tim gif sharing
Another awesome video Tim 👍they sure love their cá trích ép trứng over there 😆 my father is from Hanoi and he loves Bánh Dầy Giò Lụa ( 18:14 ) you got it right by adding the pork roll 😄it has no taste to it so I don't know why he loves it so much 🤷♂ you can't get mantis shrimp & crab fresher than that 😂 24:43 looks like guava to me and by your expression I can tell it was durian 😆I must admit, I really enjoyed this video Tim
It looked like a very good buffet. Not having air conditioning in there is a very good way to not have people eat too much. When I am hot, I cannot eat a lot. I don’t know about everybody else but I need to be comfortable if I’m eating, especially at a buffet. I hope you had a pool at where you’re staying or at least a nice cool shower after dinner.
I was there in January but was on the cruise for 1 night. That buffet looks yummy. When in doubt, just dip it in the fish sauce and you are good to go 😊😊
Always a pleasure watching you Tim, you're one of my favorites, love the Vietnamese food, love the freshness, how could you bypass the dim sum!, gosh!, hope that fiesty 🦀 crab isn't going in there alive!, hope there's airconditioning, looks a bit warm there, it's autumn here in Australia, love the dessert selection, glad to see you enjoying yourself, Thanks for this one*
Hello thre Tim Lee I’m glad to see enjoy trip Hanoi, Vietnam wow Rocking jamming Vietnamese food trips yummy delicious stay safe Tim thank you stunning video from California ❤🙏🏼🌹
3:50 - wow, small world as i only have a few youtubers marked and david is one of them! super sweet guy and cute family! he even posted a reply to one of my videos tonight and im a small fry, so he is just caring and supportive of others on youtube too. 😊
Thank you, Tim, for a really yummy looking video. I look forward to seeing you every Sunday. You are delightful and I wish I could dine with you. Much love to you, Tim.
Thanks tim for sharing the food looked scrumptious you do an amazing job exploring new places to eat and I tip my hat to you especially cooking seafood in that hotpot in the broiling heat lol I'm sure the food was good 😅
I really enjoyed watching this because I am heading to Ha Long Bay towards the end of the year. Plan a 3-day cruise, but I will definitely have to try this restaurant. I don’t think I will make it as far as you did, because after one plate, I get too full. Thank you.
Welcome to my hometown Tim. Hope you have great time there!!! Bai Chay and Ha Long city offer some of best seafood in Vietnam. One amazing city of attraction and tourism in Northern of Vietnam!!!
Chả (Steam Pork Roll) should place in between to pieces of Bánh Dày (the white, flat and round glutinous rice cake). Bánh Xèo and Chả Giò (Egg Roll) were too soft, they didn't sound crunchy to me. The "unknown" fruit is Guava. For dessert, you should add Coconut Milk, instead of Ice Cream.😄 Thanks for sharing.😋
I wish to go! My sister is a travel agent and has been. She and her coworker had a terrific time! And Shanghai and all over the world. I should have gone to school to be a travel agent as well. FAM TRIPS! Being an Executive Assistant isn't as exciting. Lol It pays the bills!I'm a foodie in San Francisco. I enjoy your RUclips videos, Mr. Lee!
Thank you so much for taking the time to reach out😀. Very great to travel and it must be nice to have a travel agent in the family. Love San Francisco and warmest greetings to you from Vancouver 😀
I'm sure. If you like these kind of buffet. Then you should visit Singapore upper class Hotel. They serve a very good varieties of East & Western food but in more simple form and not as complex or fanciful as the one you have shown in your video. The selections are just enormous from different culture. Some even specialise in specific Asian culture food like the Peranakan or what we call Baba, Nyonya food.
Hi Tim...it was worth $20-30 USD for such an array of the freshest seafood 👍...glad you enjoyed your meal til the end when you chose the " yellow ice cream "...had my suspicion on the flavor due to it's color 😋...never had durian before but I still will give it a pass 🤣...safe travels and God Bless , stay well my friend 😘🤗💕
Happy Victoria Day weekend Tim! You can tell the Canadian blood doesn't handle heat and humidity that well. You looked rather flushed. 😊 Such a Canadian thing looking for the beer to cool and refresh.😂 Thanks again for another great video! Take care and have a fabulous long weekend! 🇨🇦
Rice wrapper items looked wonderful. Razor clams are expensive here (if you can find) in western Oregon. You know it's hot when you need ice under your ice cream. I love sweet red bean. Durian - surprise!! Ha, ha. I've never had it.
Another mouth-watering selection Tim. You do go to the best. 8:36 I don't mean to teach you how to suck eggs, but in Japan only the fish is dipped in soy before eating; otherwise, the sauce makes the rice disintegrate. Plus, in Japan at least, with nigiri, it's perfectly fine and probably easier to use fingers.
Thanks for your videos, Tim. I enjoy watching them. Regarding the unknown fruit that had the green skin, if I'm not mistaken, it looks like cut up guava. The camera went by it so quickly so I'm not sure. Soursop has a bumpier inedible skin and has dark seeds inside of a soft milky flesh. If you should visit Vietnam again and want to avoid the heat, I believe March is the best time to travel as it's at the end of the dry season and the average daily temperature is around 23C. It's also low season so can save a lot 🙂. Enjoy the rest of your time there.
Thank you so much! I think it's probably guava too. Much appreciate the tip as it was quite hot, still enjoyable but I'm sure March would have been much better
I used to go to Florida all the time. You have to have air conditioning, you have to have a pool or have use of a pool, you wear lightweight shorts, sandals or flip-flops, a tank top or muscle shirt, and wearing no underwear helps.
This is a seafood buffet with a small seafood hotpot included is a different style. It seemed like it was really hot 🥵 so obviously the air conditioning in Vietnam is not up to Hong Kong standards. Even in the USA, sometimes the air conditioning is not as good as Hong Kong!!!! I could never eat in a hotpot Chinatown restaurant in the hot summer days, because the air conditioning is just not good enough in a so called advanced country the USA!!!! Hopefully Vancouver, Canada have air conditioning in their businesses that is up to Hong Kong standards. Still, you seemed to have fun cooking the small crabs, razor clams plus other food. Glad to see you are having fun exploring different parts of Vietnam 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Wow, the buffet looks amazing. We were at Halong Bay in 2017 and I told my sister that we need to go back to Vietnam, but this time for the buffets😊. Tim, are you going to visit Ho Chi Minh City? If you do, you got to checkout Hotel Nikko Saigon Buffet…I heard it’s amazing.
love vietnamese food, all looks yummy again, i think the last dessert is mde from black glutinous rice with coconut, a popular asian dessert. tfs tim..thailand and vietnam can be very hot during april..take care, drink lots to hydrate.😊
L❤ve this video. Yes, it's very hot 🔥. lots of places has no ac. If they do, it's still on low...lots of fans. Some places has no ac and/or fan. They wear thin clothes, wick proof shirts, tanks, hats, etc. Definitely hats or hand fans help during the day. You will see some people use umbrella 🌂 from the sun 🌞 too.
In SF Bay we often eat the Cha Lua (Steamed Pork Roll) dipped in Nuoc Mam, by itself it's somewhat bland and spongy texture, the fish sauce, lime, and chili makes all the difference
No air conditioning in such a fancy restaurant?? Maybe the Vietnamese people are used to it. Thanks for not showing the crabs going in the hotpot! Enjoy, Melaney from SoCal
If you haven't given Vietnamese food much of a try, think you just need to give it a few times to let your pallet adjust with some of the dishes with fish sauce. I know my first couple i tried, it wasn't bad, but I could still sense it was there. but once you adjust, at least for me, I can't taste the fish sauce at all, sweet, delicious. and such a wide range in flavors from the sweet to the sour and spicy. Its amazing, can't eat americanized chinese food any more because it tastes so bland compared to vietnamese food.
Hi Tim recently start watching your videos perfect time for me as my family is going to Vietnam in June we will be in Hanoi an I'm originally from HA LONG BAY move to OZ as a kid so now my kids see your videos and telling me I have to take them to all the buffet you show in Vietnam. Thanks for replying on my last comment I very rarely comment or subscribe to any youtuber....SUBSCRIBE NOW. Keep up the good work stay safe.
Tim - video itself was well-done and informative, but this place probably would not be for me. First, as others have pointed out in the comments, the lack of A/C in the restaurant would make it quite uncomfortable to eat there. It seems the restaurant was thus very hot which would also make me worry about food safety (items sitting out in such heat). Second, many of the food items just didn’t look that attractive, especially the hot foods, many of which seemed to be covered in gloopy sauces. The fruit looked good. Nevertheless, it seems many diners were having a good time, so to each their own.
at the start i was thinking it sounds nice to spend the day halong bay and then sit down in a airconditioned buffet, but as they brought the hot pot i was thinking does that place have aircon?
@Salmonfire The buffet restaurant probably lost the Abalone!!!!! It is sad, but the ABC born here don’t usually like the Abalone which is chewy with a awesomely delicious taste to it. You seems to be familiar with Abalone. Caucasians do not serve Abalone in any restaurants, and it is not sold anywhere with the exception of online. You can buy anything online these days. However, you can buy them in the Chinatowns’ stores in the major cities.
@qOrpz3 You really have to be observant watching these videos or put it on the television cuz otherwise it’s easy to miss the details!!!! The girl in pink filmed him. You said that you never seen that on his videos before. I was thinking that someone needs to film him as he is walking around. In the past, he had said he hold his camera in one hand to film the food on the buffet tables. However, in this video it shows him walking around more so he can’t film himself. As for him eating at the table, the camera can be put on a tripod to film him. I am no camera expert so don’t know.
Can we all appreciate the fact that Tim never disappointed us with his content. 👍👍👍
Nice to have live crabs. They are definitely fresh.
0oh ..
That face..when you tasted the ice Cream!!
Ty for including that.
Wonderful Buffet!!
Safe travels Tim!!
Thank you for sharing your journey..I appreciate it very much.
It was crazy hot, but worth the heat😋
Oh my... this brings back memories. I visited Vietnam Nam in 2016. We took a cruise down Halong Bay and viewed the caves. Loved it!
Great to see Tim enjoying himself and relaxing... and still bringing the vids!
And helping the homeless!!
looks like he was totally stressed when it came to common sense.
Lying in the hospital, broken back and ankle. Cheered up by you my familiar friend. Thanks for always being here.
Hi Diane, thoughts and prayers are with you ... Stay strong 💪

The most interesting to watching all different of the seafood 🦞 wow very fascinating….. thank you Tim Lee
Tim Lee Fix! Thank you for another wonderful buffet.Beautiful country too.
Watching from Japan. Countries in southeast Asia are so nice. Especially the seafoods.
I was there in January but was on the cruise for 1 night. That buffet looks yummy. When in doubt, just dip it in the fish sauce and you are good to go 😊😊

Same to you 😊
Ha Long Bay is so beautiful 😍 When the crab 🦀 was put on your plate it reminds me of grabbing live Lobsters 🦞 at my house to steam.
LoL, it was quite the ordeal with live seafood... Really wasn't used to cooking up live items at the table 😬😉
great review tim, thank you very much
Everything looks just amazing.I hope to travel there one day ❤
Hope you do give Vietnam a visit. Very nice destination

Greasy noodles with beef and beef sounds 🔥 yum. Hope you’re enjoying the heat!

Lol haha that durian face haha too funny

Beautiful video Tim👍🏼🙏🏽 just wondering which camera did you use for this video? Came up so nice 🥰👍🏼 thanks.
Greetings from Indonesia 🇮🇩
Wow looks good
Wow you are really enjoying yourself in this food trail.
There were quite a lot of good places to visit and eat in Vietnam 😋
I'm sure. If you like these kind of buffet. Then you should visit Singapore upper class Hotel. Interesting buffet. Lots of locals? Eating in the heat can be challenging!
Thanks for your videos, Tim. I enjoy watching them.

Watching this video is making me rethink my plan to move to Florida. Not sure if I can handle the summer humidity...
I used to go to Florida all the time. You have to have air conditioning, you have to have a pool or have use of a pool, you wear lightweight shorts, sandals or flip-flops, a tank top or muscle shirt, and wearing no underwear helps.
Also have plenty of ice cold water or drinks
ANOTHER GREAT VIDEO THANKS

TAKE A SHOT every time Tim say the word “hot” 😂. Vietnam is truly hot and humid but I cannot wait to go back and visit! ❤❤

I knew it was durian by the look on your face! 😂😂😂
You eat well while on tour. 👌 Stay healthy 👍
love vietnamese food, all looks yummy again, i think the last dessert is mde from black glutinous rice with coconut, a popular asian dessert. tfs tim..thailand and vietnam can be very hot during april..take care, drink lots to hydrate.😊
Thank you for that! Definitely had many bottles of water 😌
The unknown fruit is guava. Very yummy
Looks like a lovely buffet!
Vietnamese people drink quite a bit.
There're many drinking foods there!
maybe guava , the green fruit ..sour generally eaten like a green mango with spicy salt
Thank you 😀

Was lovely meeting you Tim! Hope you enjoyed Japan aswell! spoiler alert ;)
LoL... Thank you Ryan! Hope you had a great time🙂
Wow so many different foods! Anything you won’t eat Tim?? Haha. Just wondering. 😊😊😊
I am Australian and the beer in Australia is never served with ice - it is already ice cold.
Hi Tim, that unknown fruit is guava, give it a try, really fragrant😋
No air conditioning in such a fancy restaurant?? Maybe the Vietnamese people are used to it. Thanks for not showing the crabs going in the hotpot! Enjoy, Melaney from SoCal

Cant have my beer watered down by ice ..
It was a bit strange, but “when in Rome” as they say…😉
Tim I need to see you try Dorian again 😂😂😂😂
Good place are when you pay once and you eat how much you want :)
Wow 👍😊❤
Do you eat anything else besides seafood buffets? Just a question.
Oh yum ❤
Great meal at a Great price 😊
Everything goes well with ... fish sauce! LOL
hope u are ok now tim. trooper. it must have been very hot.
25:03 that unknown type of fruit could be a fruit from the Guava family. Possibly, white guava.
Tim - video itself was well-done and informative, but this place probably would not be for me. Nice to c
Tim, ask the staff what that item is I'm nosy and it looks good🤔
at the start i was thinking it sounds nice to spend the day halong bay and then sit down in a airconditioned buffet, but as they brought the hot pot i was thinking does that place have aircon?
No! There is no air conditioning there. However, they have ice cold beer😀
Extra cost for 1 lobster only? No refill?
looks like they skimmed with minimal fillings on banh xeo and others.
People don't really drink beer with ice, do they?
Where are you come from originally Tim?
Wonderful food! Werent you supposed to get Abalone too?
@Salmonfire The buffet restaurant probably lost the Abalone!!!!! It is sad, but the ABC born here don’t usually like the Abalone which is chewy with a awesomely delicious taste to it.
