Thanks Ethan. We had Oliver and IH growing up, I keep thinking how awesome that would have been to have a 4-150 or 4-180 on our farm. We did have a 3388 I think it was, and what a difference it made just having a bit bigger equipment. Lots of cool camera placement on this video, thanks.
Yeah, I have an '02 Chevy 2500 with the 8.1. Had the same heater hose debacle you had a couple of years ago. Went to take out the old fittings and they discentigrated instantly. Guess it took less time to assemble at the factory, but cost me more time having to repair.
Going to larger implements sure helped with getting things done quickly. Also, the larger planter speeds up the process. When weather limits field work time.
G’job Ethan, as far as making the right decision, you’re correct, when Mother Nature forces your hand, ya do what ya have to do to get crops in or out. Take care young man and keep em comin 🇺🇸💪🏻🇺🇸
Great vidéo thanks oliver Yesterday i run with a john deere 6030 with no till planting beans with a max emerge 12 row planter in Alsace in France great john deere from US equipement US muscle 🇺🇸🇺🇸💪
I finished corn this afternoon, before the rain tonight also.... After a long visit with the tech from zeigler caterpillar yesterday...my MT-545 split 2 steel hydraulic lines...$$$$
Gotta plant in some missing beans Farm Boy. My friend planted me with one of those $40,000 machines. GPS and all that stuff. Small fields with lots of turning around. Apparently smart tech couldn't catch up with the GPS. Planter didn't start planting till 50 ft or so off the end. Gaps here and there.
Have a O2 sensor out on my 13. Went to 4 different dealership's and searched online for 2 forward 2 rear mounted sensors. Found them online at Rock Auto. Federated Carquest and Napa upwards of a month.
We finished planting peanuts here in Georgia yesterday June 3rd plant 2024 is over for us for a minute we thought we would not get all our peanuts planted June the third 10th is about to late for peanuts if we would have gotten another two three inches of rain and been not able to plant for two weeks we probably would have not gotten done there is still farmers here having to plant thousand acres of peanuts it has been one of the wettest May we have ever had
These vehicle manufacturers don't think things thru anymore when they engineer this crap, or if they do its with the screw the next guy mentality. Glad to see you are at the end for planting.
I've seen a white 2-105 in the background of some of your videos but I haven't seen you use it. Does it run and if it does are you planning on getting it to run anytime soon?
If it wasn't for disking, I wouldn't have anything in the ground. Just too wet this year. Might get some beans in by the weekend barring any other eventful disasters. The boy buried my poor old 165 so bad, I had to yank it out with my neighbour's TD 450 & we all know how much fun Dad is when shit is stuck! FFS!
No, idiot engineering decisions that used improper materials that can’t handle repeated thermal cycles all in the name to cost cutting. Go back to school and learn how to form proper sentences before you try sounding smart kid.
Well since the ads you view on RUclips are randomized and partially based on the individual viewers search history to get the best marketing results for the advertiser, I’m guessing it’s because you’re obsessed with potato joe.

Probably never would have bought another piece of white equipment again.
Ethan, that's good that you were able to get the disc through that bad spot. GM must have decided to reinvent the wheel on that. Thanks Michael
Over engineering at its finest.

Just a way for an engineer to justify their job.
Like my dad always says... Bad things always come in threes.by threes by threes... But always makes the good day in between that much better.
Yep

For sure
Same thing happened to me 3 weeks ago on a 2004 gmc 2500. Those clamps bust off when the truck frame twists i found out going thru some turn rows.
Ford uses the similar hose connectors also. I had the lower rad hose pop off on an F350 a few years ago, that was not a fun night
Cheap automotive engineering at its finest.

Gotta love the gps dead zones.

Crazy that it’s so widespread

Hope you can still get all the planting done by Sunday evening.
You just can't catch a break with trucks.
Apparently not

Great video Ethan
Thanks.
Do you also put fuel in the fender tanks on the 1955?
A great big crap shot with the weather. Never know from hour to hour with the rain or dry spell. When the crops pay they pay well.
Yep
Is that yellow stuff mustard or leafy spurge.
Didn’t look

Why is there a Biden promo before the video?

@@Oliver66FarmBoy I do enjoy watching Joe walk around with a full diaper. It's funny.
