Best thing is I get to experience nearly every MOS because my job is to document what they are doing either through photography, videography, writing, or graphics. Also you are required to meet infantry standards while also being an expert at your job.. it’s a hard life but you’ll always be in small teams and you become your own boss really quick.

I'm about to leave to Navy bootcamp in a couple days (I ship out the 26th) and I got SECF (Submarine Electronics/Computer Field). I've heard it's a cool ass job so I'm hype. Got any tips for basic while I'm there?
Hey, I'm not him but I have recently passed (less than 2 years ago) Infantry Army OSUT. Biggest tips I can give you, whilst the limited time frame you have is: 1. The drills, or for you RDCs, are not your friends; but also they're (hopefully) not toxic and if you ever have a personal issue that you think is too hard to go alone you can always go to them. 2. Keep your head "down", and your ears constantly open. 3. When I went I expected everyone to be as motivated as I was, but most were not, so for you don't ever expect that either. Once I got to my training company it was much different, but in reception everyone was a shit bag. 4. Try to enjoy the little things, think positive, you might not like the pushups but you're getting a lot stronger that way anyway. I can only give so much advice, enjoy your time and at the end of the day you'll figure it out either way, good luck and have fun brother
Don't stand out or more will be expected of you or most likely targeted by Drill Instructors and dont be the guy that holds the team back, be in the middle and just do your part and BCT will go by smoothly
42 series here everyone thinks we have the easiest chillest job in the Army or S1 right and that would be true but I have the shittiest leadership possible that made me hate my experience and the Army. So like you said earlier and I tell everyone the same thing everything in the military is unit and leadership dependent. Personally I’d rather work harder and longer hours with good leadership then 09-1300 with dogshit bosses 🌝😃
Don’t stand out in osut when you get to your unit in July or August you’re knew so everybody is trying to get a feel for you, assume everybody outranks you because they probably do and remember your customs and curtesies
30th ag is gonna make you rethink your decision. You will get sick, sleep on a nasty bed, deal with idiots non stop, miss the life you just left, deal with NCO f-ups, and after your shots and processing you will brain rot until the bus comes to pick you up for basic. Pure facts, I’m not lying lol

pick something that will set you up for a high paying job on the outside, preferably with a TS clearance especially IT work. It's also better to study up on the ASVAB and retake it to get the job you really want rather than just taking whatever they offer you and trying to reclass later. That's what I ended up doing to get 35F and now I'm making 120k. 35T would probably set you up to make the most amount of money on the ousid.

Each branch of the US military has GREAT jobs - speaking for the navy, if you're enlisting, I recommend the nuclear propulsion program. You need the academic chops, but if can meet the ASVAB requirements and you apply yourself, you'll have education and training (there's a difference) that will feed you and your family well for a lifetime. If you make it known and you prove that you WANT to succeed, the people around you will help you do so. I know first-hand.

I want to go to America and join the army, but I don't know how to come to America and join the army... Can I come through the work and travel program, change my visa and stay in the U.S? The information I was given by a friend is that visas are issued on an individual basis, so I don't think that the fact that my father worked with the military is an advantage for me. I am Turkish but I feel like a Christian American because I grew up in the U.S. military. Can you please inform me about this? At Incirlik chapel, I was christened with the name Alex.

@@taiboiomasete5293hmm search them up, find a good one and call em
For always dropping heat😮💨
I’m a 13f in the army, it’s pretty much as high speed as you can get without going to schools.. you will be in the field twice as much as the infantry though because you will go with them and also the artillery dudes.. and mortars.. and sometimes cas platforms just keep that in mind. Also you are required to meet infantry standards while also being an expert at your job.. it’s a hard life but you’ll always be in small teams and you become your own boss really quick.
5:24 has me crying bro 😭😂😂 you are hilarious thank you for the video so freaking amazing to get a break down. Took my practice ASVAB yesterday scored 42. Hope to do better on the real thing today!
How did you do? Please give me an update
Biggest tips I can give you, whilst the limited time frame you have is:
@@einzplug6737 thanks bro
@@einzplug6737do i do the same for when i enlist in the army?

Watching this not knowing what the hell to do with my life.
Same here, Brother
Dude… let me know when you figure it out. Cuz me too
I just finished meps yesterday, im 17 years old and now im a polee for the USMC. im excited but also nervous since im doing active infantry
Let’s gooo another uploaddd
42 series here everyone thinks we have the easiest chillest job in the Army or S1 right and that would be true but I have the shittiest leadership possible that made me hate my experience and the Army. So like you said earlier and I tell everyone the same thing everything in the military is unit and leadership dependent. Personally I’d rather work harder and longer hours with good leadership then 09-1300 with dogshit bosses 🌝😃
man i’m a 42A too and this is by far the chillest easiest job i could’ve chosen. luckily i have great leadership
Well, I’m 11X and I ship in January 2024. I’m stoked and excited for this! I know this is gonna be hard, but I think I’m ready. Any tips?
Don’t stand out in osut when you get to your unit in July or August you’re knew so everybody is trying to get a feel for you, assume everybody outranks you because they probably do and remember your customs and curtesies
@@clean2296 👌 Will do.
30th ag is gonna make you rethink your decision. You will get sick, sleep on a nasty bed, deal with idiots non stop, miss the life you just left, deal with NCO f-ups, and after your shots and processing you will brain rot until the bus comes to pick you up for basic. Pure facts, I’m not lying lol
i’ll see you there jit, im also goin 11x and i’ll ship in january
how is it boys ? thinking of joining myself 25 years old tho @@816sontai
im going in as a 46S during the summer probably sometime mid june right after basic to start my training im glad it was featured in this vid im ready to serve and get some fire vids and photos
Yo I'm thinking of enlisting and would love 46S. Are you already guaranteed that position even before you've gone through basic?
How was the asvab for you?? I want to do this MOS as well either public affairs officers or mass communication specialist, I love creating social media content and my major in college is journalism and media production buh I’m switching over to the enlightenment side and see if I could take any of my college credits with me.
I’m worried tht my asvab score won’t hit the bar it needs to buh I pray it does and I get set on the right track if tht makes sense.
What did you score on the Asvab to get that job ?
@_smoothgelo_ my score on the asvab was a 69 but you have to take into account your scores especially on the English and technical section
@Yagirl_India I scored a 69 on the asvab but my all my scores especially on the tech and English sections gave me an opportunity to do the job
What a great mindset you have! I totally admire you! BTW I'm a dental assistant and love my job too!
pick something that will set you up for a high paying job on the outside, preferably with a TS clearance especially IT work. It's also better to study up on the ASVAB and retake it to get the job you really want rather than just taking whatever they offer you and trying to reclass later. That's what I ended up doing to get 35F and now I'm making 120k. 35T would probably set you up to make the most amount of money on the ousid.
98g RU got me to Germany and E6 at 3yrs of a 4 year hitch. Maxed the ALAT exam, though. Much different world in the mid 60’s though.
Thanks for the videos and insight into military life. I leave in Janurary for basic and head to OCS after. Pretty excited to get the journey started
you go to basic first to become an officer lol that was funny.
@@owenmclean978yes you go to basic and then to OCS if you're not prior enlisted.
@@owenmclean978 More common than you think
I wanna get into the army I’m in fort drum area literally Watertown but don’t wanna be in drum lmfao
I liked Drum a ton. Lived in Oswego, winter did not faze me ever. Summers,1,000 Islands, lake Ontario,Black River, was and still is the best.I vacation up there.
As a 15yo ngl i always love and keep dreaming joining military. Love urs vids❤️
35G, Geospatial Intelligence Analyst. You're welcome.
I hate math.
35L Counterintelligence Special Agent. A better intel MOS
@@himehime1629Very hard to book.
@@adamrocks529 Nope, it's entry level.
@@himehime1629 I had that option and I’m glad I didn’t take it as I’m a big fan of what I do as a GEOINT. I do have friends who are 35L tho and they’re fans of their MOS. I’m not sure if “better” is the right term but I guess it’s a good present of the kind of person I’m talking to.
Thank God for time stamps
This guy has it right. Listen to the man.
im going to meps on Monday to sign as a 35F and I got to choose my first duty station which is going to be in Germany
When I was in the army in the 80's...I met a chief warrant officer who was the manager of the NCO club!!! Holy shit...now that's military service right there!! Peace
Fuck being a POG, was infantry for ten years I was a medical assistant then now am a man Nurse you joined the military to learn how to fight not to cook or take pictures or to pray for people dying
The military is more than being a janitor/migrant worker.
What happens after death is far more important than what happens in this temporary life
Shipping out in a week as 91A Abhrams tank maintenance
UAS Operator. 15W now switched to 15C. I am a Uav pilot for a contracting company. I make over 10k a month after tax. The UAV world is growing I would recommend any youngsters to choose that job
Just arrived at fort drum today my first duty station as 11b
Hello from NY. Hope you enjoy your stay :)
I was a Dental Ass for 8 years active duty. I spent a year in Iraq deployed as a 8404 with 7th ESB back in '08.
Just now finding you! 91B here from Louisiana
"See them fireworks fly boy." where did that come from lol
I stumbled upon this video, love this video! My brother just left to basic training!
Please inform me. I'm half Turkish, half Romanian. I was born in Turkey, where the Incirlik American base is located. The first friends I made in my childhood were Americans, not Turks. My father worked with the military during the Iraq war (he had a carpet and jewelry shop in Iraq, military base).
Wish my 68E was as hard working as you. He's as lazy as can be and still doesn't know the color difference between Articaine and Lidocaine after 6 months
Thanks for sharing bro
Really appreciate!
Gonna take a proper 90 day tolerance break and try and go back to meps around my birthday (9/29) I hate the grind of wagey life and need something that'll give me travel incentives while paying for my room and board heheh. Also cause I do want to go back to school.
I'm ex Royal Navy from Glasgow, Scotland. Like your attitude young man. Keep up the good work.😀
Thank you for your service man, your information is excellent 🎉 you did well
Watching this in gold phase
25 series is a good one too 👍🏾 25U is the best one though 💯
I've heard from several people that 25B is better because you'll have more things to actually do whereas 25U is more "general" so they get put to doing more crappy details.
You mean 25B man
I love that your a dental assistant bc that’s what I wanna do
FORT DRUM THATS CRAZZYYYY EYYYEEEEEEE
Drum was my #2 Duty Station, only West Point, the U.S.M.A. beat it for #1.

Depends on the Administration you are serving under. This one will have you going after its opponents.
Shipping out to fort leonard wood tomorrow morning from Jacksonville MEPS
I don’t want to scare you but that is quite literally one of the WORST places to go for basic just remember why you joined and make friends even if it’s like 2-3 people
@wickdagoat I appreciate the advice
@nickratkiff9448 I’m at fort leonard wood now for ait. People that went to basic here say it’s okay. Just be ready for that cold 🥶
