Ok I'm not gonna lie, after watching essentially every match of Schmungus I am genuinely convinced ML is a whole different beast.
Like I get that everyone on the team is consistently top 500 players with incredible skill, but god damn man, dudes' mechanical skill, decision making and overall awareness goes toe to toe with literal professionals.
He’s reached rank 1 several times but he just doesn’t play pro because why would he? He makes more streaming and from yt
Glad they opened things up so he can actually complete professionally without much hassle

not nearly on the same level as professionally, but i’m a part of a high school esports team, and one of our supports plays a lot of lifeweaver. i’m a tank player, team captain and i’ve reached t500 several times on controller and keyboard over playing the game since it released. and honestly, lifeweaver isn’t horrible like others say he is. we were ranked #7 in the central US in season, and we made it to quarter finals in playoffs landing us at #5. each game he pumped out 15-20k healing with ease, and our combined W/L ratio per map/gamemode was 35/8, aswell as making sure my dumbass doom playing ass was able to get out after doing something stupid. if you play around him, he’s incredibly valuable.

I'm in diamond on support, and its also not that LW is bad, its that sometimes LW players dont know when its time to swap and just keep flaming everyone else cuz they get dove by 3 people over and over "bro help me I'm getting jumped on" "bro I'm outhealing you, heal more" I'm Lucio bro and you picked the healbot support, of course you're gonna outheal me

Yeah, they knew they had no chance to win against SSG. On Esparanca, SSG even let Schmungus decide what comp to run and they mirrored it. Schmungus came up with that whacky comp.

i love seeing top players troll in serious games, because i tilt pretty often if my teammates aren’t doing their job i know nobody’s perfect but it lets me know it’s not that serious
I really do think, that after EACH match, what ever hero was played the most from EACH team the last match gets unused! That way more comps and creativeness gets put into games like this because this is A LOT more fun!

The whole point of overwatch is to play whoever you want, that would be incredibly oppressive. Sone people only play one hero and genuinely enjoy it.

I feel like lw is slept on he allows the tank to play super aggressive and give angles that are impossible for most tanks tree is also super versatile
sure, but his healing is ass and so is his damage unless they stand there and take it. It's only really good for shield damage.

I know rak is considerd a former pro and all (even with a winless record on vegas) but their team (SOG or Students of the Game) also plays lifeweaver and theri quite good ngl
Its refreshing to see other characters being used. Overwatch league should be Role que mystery hero's, keep ult charge on deaths, and you get to remove one character per role from the pool. so its not kerri / lucio / bap / tracer / sojourn / Cassidy every single team every single game

He's pretty bad. Almost any other support is better (even mercy can pocket a dps if one-shots is the play you go for)

@@matthewrayner571 no at the top level mercy is worse rn, arguably I think shes the worst across the board - the dps passive ruined her (in part because she basically can't heal herself anymore)
Weaver's giga healing isn't very useful at all because of how fast tanks die, but it does help a bit with downtime. The pull is really a saving grace in his kit, keeping your tank alive is really hard rn, he helps that a lot more than mercy. Mercy's pocket isn't worth the effort right now, better to burn the tank and run them over than dedicate a support for one shot picks.
