Thanks for watching & welcome to the DIY Raptor Club. It’s very possible your ski is reverting to limp mode. One of the most common causes for this transition is corrosion inside your key. We recommend inspecting the internal portion of your key as well as the connection leads on your ski to ensure there is no rust or corrosion interfering with the electrical connection. 😎👍🔧🔩
I’ve run into a problem! So last year I went ahead and replaced the carbon seal and ever since then when I open it all the way it doesn’t accelerate very well but then it seems to catch, it would go full throttle but have slight fluctuations while full throttle and then eventually would almost die out. Any idea of what this might be? Is it related to the carbon seal or possibly a check valve? My ski is a 96 seadoo gts 3 seater. Any help is appreciated!!
chad max Thanks for watching & sharing chad. Can you hear any hissing sound coming from your vacuum lines and solenoid valve area? The symptoms you shared are usually tied to lack of vacuum pressure and or lack of efficient fuel flow. Make sure all vacuum lines are still connected to the solenoid valve as they can snap off causing degraded engine performance. Keep us posted. Let’s get this figured out together. Please subscribe to the channel and ring your RUclips bell 🔔 this will be very helpful to us thanks again. 😎👍🔧🔩

Abdallah Mohamed Thanks for watching & with engine running, do you hear any hissing sounds anywhere? It’s very possible that your solenoid has failed and is degrading your vacuum system performance. Replacing your solenoid may fix the problem. However if you have vacuum lines that are hissing, locate where the hissing is coming from and replace that specific vacuum line. If all looks well, it may be your check valve. Your check valve should be very close to your solenoid and can be replaced very easily. Let’s start there. Keep us posted. Im not a mechanic but will tell you my simular problem. I was on a lake after a bad storm and lots of logs and debris on the water but i went slow and after a little while my seadoo would only go slow at best. It would rev up but just go slow. I took it home on the trailer and next day looked into the impeller from underneath. Looking up inside there was a small piece of wood size of a pencil and about inch and half long wedged in the corner of the round impeller. I got a close hanger and pulled it out. I said no way this little piece was the cause but took it back to the lake and it then ran fine. I guess the small piece disrupted the whole water flow.

derekpreston7 Thanks for watching and sharing your experience. Let’s get this figured out together! Since 1992 has your JetSki had any maintenance done to the driveshaft and the carbon ring? We ask because sometimes JetSki owners will run into the driveshaft being degraded to a point where it is not spinning the impeller as efficient as it once was brand new... in other words your transmission might be just fine. Any and all info on any recent repairs done to your JetSki in the last 12 months will help us pinpoint a plan and possibly allow us to see if any recent repairs are related to your symptoms.
