Man you have patience like no other. I want you to be the guy who watches the nuclear codes. lol . I purchased this same seadoo and mine too is not going over 6100. So I am going to try cleaning my rave valves and replacing the o rings on them.
You might think im crazy but the old style power valves on the ski doo snowmobiles worked off pressure with an adjustable spring and they worked great so in theory as long as they bolt up and dont hit the pistons id try it , my buddy has PWC and all his sea doo have the old style power valves and run good 🤔🤔
Nice work. I appreciate your persistence on identifying problems and testing for solutions on the DI’s. In your rebuilds of the DI’s, have you ever done 1mm over bores to get more power or speed out of one? What’s your thoughts on a good reliable top end rebuild and bottom end parts supplier for DI’s.
I have done 1mm over before but never for the purpose of more power or speed. It was done because I could not go any less to get rid of the cylinder wall damage. As for Parts I use various different suppliers. Ebay is a good place to start. I also look for local guys selling their damaged ski so then I have a ton of parts on hand.
Are you located in Ontario, Oregon? Looking for a local place to help out on diagnosis on my 2002 GTX Maintenance Light issues, also have a matching 2002 RX that could use a good once over. Thanks, Matt
The machine has to be in the water to get a definitive diagnosis. There is no resistance on the pump when out of the water. So many times I hear it runs fine on the hose but won't rev up in the water..or won't start.
ruclips.net/video/tgjjiDTWxqY/видео.html These guys drilled a hole inside the rave housing, to use exhaust vacuum to open the rave valves rather than the solenoid . And in the cover to visually see the rave working at will.. What do you think of this mod ?
@@jeffberner3102 Nothing on 4 strokes yet. The market is so messed up. You buy a blown up 4 stroke for 3500 and then you need to put another 3k into it to get it going.
I lnow from experience from working on snowmobiles that have power valves that they do wear out and need to be replaced!! Being cheap on cost you more time and money in the long run!!
Absolutely..This machine has been a nightmare for having to replace parts. I think just about every part has been replaced at this point. I have an 8,000.00 in parts ---- 4,000.00 value machine now. :)
I like that you put the whole video of all your thoughts on trouble shooting.
Thanks. I try to give as much information as possible to help all.
I don’t no if my dealer can do it I will stay in touch and thanks for all the videos

Low rpm is almost always related to exhaust issues. Good luck ! :)
Thanks man, great video so helpfull!!
Thanks much. I have another stubborn one coming. These things can be difficult at times.
Thanks, great troubleshooting.
They are difficult to diagnose but very rewarding when you finally find the issue.

No Sorry, Ontario , Canada
@@SeadooRefurb Dang! Yeah that is a bit too far. Ughhh wish I could find someone with your skills around here. Keep up the good work
Enjoyed to watch , what is your top rpm on water and your top speed? With 2001 gtx di I have 6700 and 50mph, is it possible to get bit more?
Mine is the exact same. 6700 rpm. Not sure what you could do to get more rpm .
Where I can get the manual? I have 2003 Gtx DI that is having hard time to fire up.
Thanks,

Persistence!
This was a hood vid. Soo many things to look at to trouble shoot and oddities in mismatched used parts that look the same but aren’t.

Lol right. That was me last wknd. That’s what I was thinking as I finished this video, Ive watched 3x now to try and keep track of your process.

@@randallfavors5615 Yes..I have seen this. That is on the 951 carb engine . Not sure if it is the same on the di engine or not.
What’s your fuel pressure?
Pressure is all good. 27 on fuel side and 80 on air side. total 107 . Machine is running fantastic ever since the rave repair.
Awesome, do you have any 4 stroke newer videos yet

How can you adjust idle ?
Normally you would not have to adjust the idle on these machines. What is the issue ? Low idle ?
@@SeadooRefurb low idle then dies. Revs and run great just low idle
Put in flood mode and remove spark plug and look at spray
Its all good. Just a bad rave exhaust piston.
Can you make me a key with the company number, I lost my spare
Yes I can but the cost of sending me the computer makes it hardly worth it.
@@SeadooRefurb can I just give you a VIN, I am original owner or computer number
@@jeffberner3102 That does not work. I need to program your computer to accept your key.
