I have been many times to Belarus (mostly Minsk) and Russia (mostly Moscow). Minsk is really cool, people are cool and the purchasing power of the average western guy makes it really attractive too, but Moscow is something else. The costs of staying there are high as Conor says, but the city is amazing. Words don't describe how fantastic the city is. The nightlife, the history, the architecture ...just amazing. Great Video, hope to see Ukraine soon. What I love most about Eastern Europe --the people are based. No wokeness.

I dated a girl from St petersburg for 10 years in the USA, she had amazing silky hair and smooth skin. I never spoke a lick of russian the entire time. I met the most beautiful woman I have ever seen when living in NYC. We hung out for the weekend, I begged her to marry me but she hated the USA and went back to Omsk. I met several Ukrainian women thru my gf at Russian parties in the USA and found them gorgeous and desirable but very shifty. I felt like you could be chasing them like some kind of mirage, never catching them, while they keep smiling and dancing around laughing at you. I've also been to Odessa, Lviv and Kiev in 2011 and felt the same way. You see them all around town posing for photos for their dating profiles. I'm very curious about Belarus based on your recommendation but I really dislike that dictator up there.

Good video. It's a tough question to answer since it depends on how each individual feels when they visit those countries. I, for example, love the isolation that Minsk brings me from the "outside" world (particularly during the long Winters). But if you are the party / social type, it may not be the right place for you.
The other aspect that Connor didn't mention is politics: in Ukraine you have a very shaky democracy. In Belarus and Russia you have full fledged dictatorships. I don't like to live in a place where my citizen rights can be taken away from me, at any moment, just because I said something publicly that the regime didn't like. August / September last year, a couple of foreigners were beaten up and arrested in Minsk just because they were out in the street at the "wrong" time. So even if you are not into politics, it can affect you.
Lastly, just to say that, as a foreigner, you never truly own property in Belarus or Russia. The State can take it away from you easily, at any time. That's something I also feel uncomfortable about.
    Cheers

@@rickmorgan1441 The short answer is yes. In Belarus (as well in Russia) there is no "rule of law". If the State develops any type of interest for your property, it will be taken from you, regardless of what the law says.

You can arrange a pre-nup but even that wont safeguard your rights. Of course, if you have a lot of money and local contacts you can balance out the "judicial system", but in normal circumstances, the local will get a favorable decision. The rules are simply different and justice equals money / connections, not what the law says.
