    You want to make sure the trigger is pre dry fired before making the shotgun cruiser ready in my opinion saftey off so all you have to do is rack it and pull trigger, if gun is pre cocked or racked the spring is left depressed. Just my opinion be safe thanks

    • @AMCITADEL
      @AMCITADEL  2 года назад

      I agree that you shouldn't leave it cruiser ready for a long period of time. Personally, I use it often enough to keep the spring working, so it's never left compressed for long.

    • @NotJOE420
      @NotJOE420 9 месяцев назад

      Springs don’t wear from being compressed or not. Springs wear from use. Ask any competent engineer. This topic has already been settled within the mags loaded/unloaded debate. Loaded has no effect on spring longevity. It’s the actual use of the springs that wears them. Leave a gun cocked forever and it won’t do a thing.

    • @AMCITADEL
      @AMCITADEL  3 года назад +1

      Its not very difficult at all. I changed mounts though - I installed a 5 sided weaver rail on the magazine tube and I attached the flashlight to that using the ring mount from my original setup. I like the position better and it doesn't obstruct the view like my original setup.

    From the 8 shot extension tube extension kit, how many inches did you cut off from the new spring?

    • @AMCITADEL
      @AMCITADEL  3 года назад

      I only cut off the very last 1-2mm, just enough to remove the roll crimp. You could also use a dremmel or a file to remove the crimp.
      The object is to cut as little off as possible.

    • @AMCITADEL

    after you modified your shotgun does it still perform good or have you had any issues with the modifications just curious because I picked one up not too long ago myself ?

    • @AMCITADEL
      @AMCITADEL  3 года назад +1

      I have not had any major issues, but I have noticed that the heavier charging handle slows the bolt a bit, probably would have even more issues with low power shells. I can't test that yet because I'm all out of low velocity ammo at the moment.
      On the plus side, the extra weight of the 8 shot mag helps with recoil noticeably.
