Awesome. It's good to show your failures when installing the cylinder, it happens to all of us. I just rebuilt my 600 etec, with a cylinder from Millenium, and it's about to go in the sled. I really like videos that not only tell a good story, but show how it goes. Your excitement when it started was epic.
Glad you enjoyed and thanks for the comment! Best of luck with your sled. Yep... I was really mentally prepared for it NOT to start, so the stoke was real when it did!
Just finished a very similar project yesterday. MXZ 600 SDI converted into a summit. I had to put ina new crank. Last year all I knew was changing a spark plug. Such an amazing feeling to have the thing start up after so much work. Loving your content. Keep it up!
Love to see it dude. I have the same sled, and my cylinder wall is all chewed up, so I need to see if people reborn these and order over sized pistons the way you would for a vehicle.. anyways, great vid, happy you followed through with it!
Was surprised you didn't use a band and put pistons in from the top and then lower down and do pin and clips, glad you got lucky and didn't damage anything.
There’s an old list of break in procedures that may or may not still be in favor: 1 Run a few warm up cycles before riding 2 Add half a quart of synthetic two stroke oil to first tank of gas 3 Ride half throttle for first tank of gas 4 Brief bursts of full throttle during second tank of gas 5 Consider the motor gently broken in. Great sled it needs a wrap! 👍🛷🔥🏔
@@fairbanksairriders Good to know. I should've known better than to ride it even up and down the block, but the excitement took over any form of logic. I will continue to heat cycle before I go ride it on Sunday. Had heard of putting oil in the gas - is that factory recommended or a preventative measure to ensure oil is delivering properly? Thanks for the insight!
You made me look! I googled it... It appears newer sleds have inverted the shocks, but this is correct orientation for this year! Glad you enjoyed the vid!
Nice job man. Looks like your belts sitting a little low on the secondary. Adjust it to where the top on the concave notch is level with the top of the sheath.
How much did it cost to get her going. I want to get into sleds but if I can get a cheap broken one I want to see if it’s worth restoring rather than buying
@@KincadePavich This is true as well, but just wanted to add this cause the first engine I rebuilt blew up on the first ride. The head warped when it original burnt down which caused it to leak and run lean. Had to sand the head down to flatten it out and rebuild it again.
@@KincadePavich 4k to 8k rpm rotating piece of aluminum if there was a hair line crack in it will come apart and it won’t care if it’s aluminum steel plastic or body it will tear threw it even the belt blowing apart will hurt a lot don’t run the snowmobile without the guard in place

Nice work.

She's been out twice now! 1 video is already live, another coming soon!
You should mix your first tank of fuel 50:1 until your oil injection works all the air out of the system .
Make sure you take spare spark plugs with you on your first ride on that snowmobile .enjoy
You must have the clapper 😂
Крутяк! Люблю снегоходы!

I'm in about $1400 total, and Millennium sponsored the cylinder replate.
Honestly by the first 10 times I just use starting fluid
Why is your thorttle the wrong way round?
imagine putting that engine into an atv
Should have leak down tested it. Most important part.

😂😂😂😂😂
Brave or very stupid running the snowmobile with no belt guard or side panel ever seen what happens when a clutch explodes?
Nope I haven't, and certainly didn't think about that! If it wasn't made clear, I have no clue what I'm doing! What happens?
