Scorched mussel clusters wrapped with sewing thread are a dynamite Sheepshead bait...if you are willing to jump through the hoops of 1. purchasing a shellfish harvest license, 2. searching maps for open shellfish harvest areas and 3. obtaining and filling out a shellfish harvest tag. Yes I am willing to take the effort to do this, I'm a little Off Kilter! Fish were biting good, I wish the weather would have cooperated better, maybe next time.

yeah his subs just jumped like crazy. another channel I know was saying he was pushing for 30k and like over night he got 2k subs. Must be a glitch.

I have been putting out a lot of shorts and have recently got one that’s been doing very well for me too, yet Mine is on a micro level compared to yours. Again, I’m really happy for you brother. Before you get to big I’ve been wanting to ask if you’d be willing to do a collaboration with me and or meet up and talk. I live in New Bern and Fish the same place as you do all the time out of a Hobie kayak. I have only been posting videos for four months but I’m in this for the long-haul. After some life challenges, I decided this is a Hill I’m dying on. It’s a long story. Anyway, so I figure if you and I can get to know each other it might be in the best interest of us both not to mention we probably get along really well. Is there a way I can contact you? There are a few other local guys I have in mind doing what we’re doing, but I think we would all benefit from working together as we are all so different, but so similar in so many ways. we could all probably help each other a lot with strategy, mindset, and just having more fun doing this together.
Hey Brian I hope you are doing well. I went out to try to catch some sheepshead today ( 3/23/23 . It was really windy. I didn’t catch any. There were sea urchins on the sea wall ( port sea wall / . I did get a few of them for bait.

I have been buying large bags of frozen shelled mussels at restaurant depot and salting them. Catching black drum, red drum, and sheepshead. Guys fishing next to me are using sand fleas, and shrimp, they are amazed, I am catching at least 3 to there 1 with them.

New boat!? Headed that way in about two weeks. Will the bridges still hold sheepshead or will they be moving back offshore?
The Sheep will be here and the fishing will only get better and better as the water warms up.

No way would I attempt this spot in a kayak. Big boats rolling through, at full speed. No go situation.
Buy a nice life insurance policy before you attempt anchor there on a kayak. Your family will thank you a whole lot more than fish. And, you’re welcome !

How cold is it really where you are? I'm in Florida wearing shorts and short sleeves and I'm not trying to brag or anything 😅😂
Winter and Spring here in NC is wonky. Wind switches out of the North, it gets down right chilly. Wind switches South, it's shorts and T-shirts.

end of April, May
Mid to late May when the water warms up. Travel south if you want to start a little sooner. Good luck!
