Don't move to L.A, trust me I lived there. You can't travel anywhere without a car and 99% of the time there is traffic. If you want to move to California I suggest San Diego. Nice weather, Chill people and less traffic.

If you are thinking of moving out of New York City and Francine being the main reason, you shouldn't go LA, it's not much different to raise a kid. You should consider moving somewhere like Vancouver. I'm from North Vancouver and my parents came here to raise me because it is such an amazing place to raise a child and start a family. That's just my opinion though..

Casey at the end of the day NYC is your dream! It's your passion! You gain so much of your drive and energy from that city. LA is beautiful but it will never fill you with that childhood passion that NYC does. Plus what about Owen, Karlie, your brothers, countless friends and family.
Casey is literally one of the vloggers that i can actually watch because his videos are not that long and stretched out. Keep up the good work Casey!

Yes, I really think so.He has briefly mentioned moving to LA a few months back in another vlog, and seeing today that they are still talking about it and even consulting a real estate agent makes me think they are quite serious about the idea. Owen is not there, he is starting college this year, and nobody said he would move the company, he would probably open another one on the West coast

Just started watching your vlogs because my brother told me how awesome you were. Never seen an actual vlog before, but this is the best thing I've ever seen. You manage to tell a story virtually every time and I learn so much about how you manage to balance work and family (very important to me).

Love the vlogs however long or short they are. I don't think some people appreciate the effort it takes to put out a video everyday. I think its amazing you do so much work to not only make yourself happy but to make people around the world happy. Thank you for all you do.

I wish people could grasp that NewYork isn't everything. I've lived in NewYork and it can be quite crappy. Everything is overpriced, polluted, otp and crowded. I much preferred San Diego. The beach life is so much nicer than crazy traffic and angry business people hustling about. Dreams can be achieved anywhere you don't have to go to NewYork to do it.
But if you make it there you can make it anywhere.
But you only make it if you're interested in the things it produces like film making, architecture, financial sector,lawyers Other than that it's not worth it.

Hearing that the family would be moving out of NYC in a couple of years was actually heartbreaking.
Just watching Casey Workout, New York is such an aesthetic city, really dream of living somewhere like that and working hard every day to be able too! Since he's obsessed with the beach part of LA I would strongly suggest either Malibu, Palisades or Brentwood. Santa Monica and Venice have to many homeless wandering around to raise kids, also Culver City is fairly safe.

There are both seedy parts and ritzy parts of Santa Monica. Given that he lives in TriBeCa (very high end area of Manhattan) they will probably live somewhere fancy

If you follow Casey, you should already know that he's always been more of a movie guy.
These vlogs are just so he can be consistent since he was never consistent with his videos / movies before.
I get that new fans are used to just pumped out vlogs but keep in mind that those mundane vloggers are on a lower bar than Casey.

If you'd like to move to the West coast, but still want to enjoy the 4 seasons in a moderate climate, you should also consider Vancouver - super clean, beautiful city, and not far from some of the best skiing & snowboarding in the world :)

Casy, no matter how long the length your Vlog's are they make the most interesting vlogs on RUclips to watch. I agree with Doc on that making a quality video is the primary goal for each day versus length rather it's 4 minutes or 8 minutes, it's Vlogging with Casey Neistat that makes all the difference!

I live in San Francisco, I say SF is the best
Love the "just do it! Just move!". We did the same thing. After many years living in Houston, we got tired of the heat, humidity and sprawl. So we moved to Denver, found a job and now are living it up living the hiking/camping lifestyle. We have been here for 3 years, and now are again thinking of something new. We aren't sure where we end up, but it doesn't matter. What matters is we all have control of our lives, and we can do whatever we decide to do. It won't be NYC, but who knows, maybe in a year I'll be watching your vlogs from a small mountain city in South America or maybe a few blocks from you in LA. Life is for living. You can regret when you're dead.
