That feeling when your random MMR is higher than your main MMR. The marcj account is down there at rank 19 grandmaster with only 6115 MMR to Speedrunning's 6180.
I’m going over uthermal’s many amazing pro games. As good as he is, I wonder if the evidence is showing us that his true talent/niche is non stop insane builds, and not “standard” play 😂
thermy's terran builds in this challenge are literally to build a random collection of units and outplay the opponent with whatever he happens to have.
havent played starcraft in a while, but when he explained his reaper into 2 marauder cs helions medivac drop so nonchalantly I was like "so thats what these kids are upto these days".
yep, I think the rules should be relaxed a bit. As long as it is a one-base cheese, which is followed by constant aggression, I think it is totally fine
I think workers should be pulled at 5:30 or 5:45 depending on map size, to lock in the push and possibly get a win by 6mins with the extra dps and tanking
Maru also doers this when he wants to, but tends to play more defensive macro games. his ability to win games with like 3 hellions, a maurader and lib are other worldy
This entire series and especially this episode really show the difference between good ladder players and someone with significant pro play experience. The cheese causes absolute chaos and you're just able to handle it much better than your opponents. This series has already been incredibly entertaining
Boy, you're just great. I played some years ago with some friends in coop SC2 against KI. I'm watching SC2 vids(replays) since 10 years, but you're the best. Commentary, content, challenges. It's just fun to watch. Just keep it up. Greetings from Germany.
That freaking last game against Terran have me at the edge of my seat in that last minute push! Amazing micro, mindset and commentary on top of that! It goes to show you're still honing your skills with this unbelievable challenges. Amazing
This is not particular for this video but your commentaries and thoughts are literal GOLD! Please keep on doing it EXACLTY how you do it right now. This is insanely entertaining to watch! Greetings from Germany friend :)
I would say if you are still trying to figure out what time to stop speed running, you could do a final attack at 6 minutes and reinforce units until 7, then just pull the boys to finish. You will know after that if you are winning or not lol. Love the vids!
These type of good-vibe videos are most welcome my friend, regardless what happens ingame :) The fact that you do the big brain predicts, and entertaining gameplay+commentary just make it even better :) Thx for bringing smile on faces. BIG UP! Cheers!
Stopped playing SC2 for about a year and recently came back because I was watching your content! Best SC2 content!!! Been playing since WoL! Keep it up UThermal!
I love the time difference you have with Europe, every evening before sleep there is this little surprise to watch from the bed. I don't know how you keep dishing out the videos every day man, watched them all! tot morgen dan maar weer!
Preach. I haven't played SC2 since launch, but these videos are a highlight of my day. I tried to watch some other SC2 content, but it really doesnt compare.
I haven't played SC2 from couple of years and i really enjoy you videos . Keep it up will the positive vibe you are very chill to watch and don't mind the haters , just some angry kids
Been here since 17k, you're going to blow up man!! It's none of my business but keep doing the exact same thing when you're at 100k, 200k, 500k ... etc... it's why you're so popular :)
That last game was crazy, I feel your opponent must have either gotten nervous or else didn't expect that you were gonna all in because you were working on a timer.
You're the most entertaining person playing SC2 I can't believe the stuff you pull off with certain unit comps and it goes to show knowing the game is a big deal.
I feel like it's the pressure of having to win by 6 mins and your opponents just get overwhelmed by the attacks when they are thinking you're supposed to back off and re group.
I would love to see you do a tutorial series. Your videos make me wanna play SC2 again but I haven't played in over 10 years and I was never very good. I'd love to see some videos on how to scout, pick builds, early game build orders, etc.
This is something I think SC2 is missing for the community. There is a lot of potential for fun in SC2. I personally would LOVE to see more theme matches or if we are talking professional, 2v2 or team battles, Archon mode was fun to watch. I truly think it would help grow the community. Uthermal is getting as many, and sometimes more than A GSL tournament view. That is insane when you think of production costs.
You have gotten better, I see your panic and loss of confidence but you stick it out and win. Seen you quit games that you could have won. There is that mental factor as well, once you break the opponents mentally or they can calculate that they will lose or think they will lose, it’s gg. SC is a game of mistakes. It is also a game of capitalizing on those mistakes. If they don’t them your still in it.
Amazing episode, amazing salt, you show us that you should never leave a game until it's really over, cuz with good micro there is often a chance you can turn things around.
Dear Harstem, Voidrays are broken, I destroyed his economy in the first 5 minutes of the game but then he pull out a voidray and utterly destroyed me. Tel me Cap, is it Imba or do I suck ?
Pretty crazy how you can talk about what is going on and what is going to happen in such detail. You can tell you are very experienced at what you are doing.
Few reasons. It changes their scout timing and good manners are the big ones. Thermy's not playing random for the tiny advantage that uncertainty gives so that's not really a reason to not say when they ask.
those late hellions at the end of the last game arriving half way the push turned out an epic timing? He was just at the point figuring out how to deal with the push then... cars everywhere???
uThermal: Oh this looks bad for us it hard counters my build this is looking like a loss. also uThermal: proceeds to destroy opponent so hard he reaps mounds of salt😂
Thermy Cheese is Best Cheese! I love the name for this series. Someone gonna ask what race he is, and get an honest answer, then notice his name and not believe it. Then he'll ask WTF when he finds out it was true, and Thermy can say the name is why he can't be trusted ;p
Marc you are a living encyclopedia of starcraft knowledge and watching you play 9 different matchups is absolutely INSANE. Your brain is a supercomputer lol
Hey uthermal, can we have an sc2 voice announcer with you? It would be so cool to get references to your builds like penguin brothers or something like that every time I build a viking or a Marauder
Hi uThermal. I am enjoying lot your content:). I am wondering, whether you could make a video about the following topic: what does it take to be a top player, how you practice for a tournament. So, just give an insight :)
Incredible how you not only predict your enemies moves before they complete them, but also when the rage typing is coming.
That feeling when your random MMR is higher than your main MMR. The marcj account is down there at rank 19 grandmaster with only 6115 MMR to Speedrunning's 6180.
The 6180 was before he won the 3 games in this video, wasn't it?
I’m going over uthermal’s many amazing pro games. As good as he is, I wonder if the evidence is showing us that his true talent/niche is non stop insane builds, and not “standard” play 😂
@@Blandge yeah I commented that in the first few minutes the video was up before watching further
one of the reasons i stopped playing 1v1 sc2, just watch it. Mad aggression is easier to pull off then defend but i don't like to play like that
"only" 6115...
thermy's terran builds in this challenge are literally to build a random collection of units and outplay the opponent with whatever he happens to have.
"if you can't make your own cheese, store-bought is fine" ~Cooking With Marc
The rauder drop on the cyclone was too filthy. Can't believe that went according to plan
havent played starcraft in a while, but when he explained his reaper into 2 marauder cs helions medivac drop so nonchalantly I was like "so thats what these kids are upto these days".
Aim for six minutes but none of us care if it goes a little over, the games are so entertaining.
yep, I think the rules should be relaxed a bit. As long as it is a one-base cheese, which is followed by constant aggression, I think it is totally fine
I think workers should be pulled at 5:30 or 5:45 depending on map size, to lock in the push and possibly get a win by 6mins with the extra dps and tanking
Everyone likes the cheese factory no matter how long it has aged..
agreed :D
12:40 lmao, Thermy is basically The Salt Whisperer. He can detect the salt before it even happens.
The magic of fully committing to the play.. when you’re pushed into playing like a psychopath, the enemy is always caught off guard!
tier one competitors like this ARE functionally psychopaths in the game
The last couple of games really reminded me of how MKP played the game. Causing absolute chaos with 5 units and never letting them die.
yeah he was really some unique mfer
Maru also doers this when he wants to, but tends to play more defensive macro games. his ability to win games with like 3 hellions, a maurader and lib are other worldy
This entire series and especially this episode really show the difference between good ladder players and someone with significant pro play experience. The cheese causes absolute chaos and you're just able to handle it much better than your opponents. This series has already been incredibly entertaining
Loved the use of the phoenix to snipe the cyclone.
Just happy to know that no matter how high rank I get, there will always be someone who wants to fly away their buildings to waste time.
Something about, "I have to research more cheese." cracks me up.
Boy, you're just great. I played some years ago with some friends in coop SC2 against KI. I'm watching SC2 vids(replays) since 10 years, but you're the best. Commentary, content, challenges. It's just fun to watch. Just keep it up. Greetings from Germany.

I was on the edge of my seat the whole episode aha. Great to see you pull through with some wins ✔️
Love when you incite keyboard rage, great vid as usual
This is not particular for this video but your commentaries and thoughts are literal GOLD! Please keep on doing it EXACLTY how you do it right now. This is insanely entertaining to watch! Greetings from Germany friend :)
Get that storage full of salt ! 🤣Enjoyableas always, the timing on the "he must be typing smt angry" was hilarious 😂
Without fully watching the video, already a thumbs up because I know it will be insanely entertaining! Keep up the good work Marc!
Yeah, I always hit the like button the instant I start watching, no question. ;) :)
I would say if you are still trying to figure out what time to stop speed running, you could do a final attack at 6 minutes and reinforce units until 7, then just pull the boys to finish. You will know after that if you are winning or not lol. Love the vids!
Good idea
I agree. Force pulling the boys at 7 minutes ensures that the game must end.
These type of good-vibe videos are most welcome my friend, regardless what happens ingame :) The fact that you do the big brain predicts, and entertaining gameplay+commentary just make it even better :) Thx for bringing smile on faces. BIG UP! Cheers!
This was the best episode yet of this series. We need more chaotic games!!
lolmao these speedrunning series made me try one base all-ins for most of my games and now I am Master for the first time, it works!!
Stopped playing SC2 for about a year and recently came back because I was watching your content! Best SC2 content!!! Been playing since WoL! Keep it up UThermal!
Truly a blessed series, keep it up!
Havn't played the game in over 5 year now, but your commentary makes watching the game really entertaining.
I love the time difference you have with Europe, every evening before sleep there is this little surprise to watch from the bed. I don't know how you keep dishing out the videos every day man, watched them all! tot morgen dan maar weer!
This episode had it all! Pure banger from start to finish
This is now more fun to watch for me than GSL which is totally different vibe, but still crazy that I like these more.
Preach. I haven't played SC2 since launch, but these videos are a highlight of my day. I tried to watch some other SC2 content, but it really doesnt compare.
Thermy you should know by now that every time you say you are screwed, you win 3 out of every 4 of those games 😬
I haven't played SC2 from couple of years and i really enjoy you videos . Keep it up will the positive vibe you are very chill to watch and don't mind the haters , just some angry kids
It's amazing how I don't play SC2 but your channel is fun to watch because of your commentary.
Undefeated, unbeatable, the champion of all champs, never lost a cheese. UThermal the legend grows.
If someone tells me „ i hope you die“ - my answer is always „because i am better than you in a videogame?“ thats where the real salt starts😂
That rage prediction is some art of war mastery of thy enemy level stuff
Been here since 17k, you're going to blow up man!! It's none of my business but keep doing the exact same thing when you're at 100k, 200k, 500k ... etc... it's why you're so popular :)

You're the most entertaining person playing SC2 I can't believe the stuff you pull off with certain unit comps and it goes to show knowing the game is a big deal.
I figured out why you're so effective in all challenges: your micro is just insane
Your recent videos have been so entertaining, definitely the best StarCraft yter I have ever seen
"i'm going to make a battery here, so i can forget about it".............i'm dead
Your smile is contagious man. Great content as always.
This is my favourite series! You should keep doing speedruns forever.
There are people who thrive in the chaos. Good job being one.
Great job. You own the chaos.
"Playing Starcraft is more important than when I was born"
I feel like it's the pressure of having to win by 6 mins and your opponents just get overwhelmed by the attacks when they are thinking you're supposed to back off and re group.
11:50 yeah, Terran going to lose all of his void rays)
Man, Speedrunning should become a category in tournaments, well done although with a >little< bit of luck!
This is the best one yet. And every one has been amazing.
haha started the last attack at 5:59! what a great show
13:45 probably because in the US Blizzard started perma banning people for saying things they think are "toxic and aggressive".
I would love to see you do a tutorial series. Your videos make me wanna play SC2 again but I haven't played in over 10 years and I was never very good. I'd love to see some videos on how to scout, pick builds, early game build orders, etc.
You could even make it a challenge. "Under 100 APM to grandmaster!"
Nevermind, I just saw you did exactly that!
Bro that was some of the most awesome quick thinking and sharp macro I have seen, this was a really good upload!
Adding a few minutes at the end makes if feel like the World Cup.
I've just seen your ept open cup road today, you did it amazing, youre truly a goat
I get it now. You want that dark archon portrait!
Your commentary is as strong as your gameplay. I love your videos. Best content on the internet.
I like that the voice for a commenter talking about game length sounded like harstem. lol
This is something I think SC2 is missing for the community. There is a lot of potential for fun in SC2. "i'm definitely going to lose" haha ok sure M.Night Shyamalan
Your calls/predictions are just insane, sometimes. You've called stuff like that salt so many times.
You have gotten better, I see your panic and loss of confidence but you stick it out and win. Seen you quit games that you could have won. There is that mental factor as well, once you break the opponents mentally or they can calculate that they will lose or think they will lose, it’s gg. SC is a game of mistakes. Man I don't even play SC2 but I love your vids, good job!
this series is blessed or something- uthermal
It's interesting that this senseless aggression actually is 500 iq
"were going to lose a ton of MMR"
*Wins 3 games*
Best series yet. Absolutely exhilirating!
Amazing episode, amazing salt, you show us that you should never leave a game until it's really over, cuz with good micro there is often a chance you can turn things around.
In the 3rd games could you inverse the barrack and the factory to made thor or tank and marine to have more damage with the tanky marauder/helion
Salt prediction was impressive!
Great games!
I'm show up for the cheese, I stay for the spice.
Can we have a salt compilation where you compile the videos with the most salt together?
Those cheese timing is pretty wicked.
can someone tell me why people tell the opponents what race they are when playing random?
Few reasons. It changes their scout timing and good manners are the big ones. Thermy's not playing random for the tiny advantage that uncertainty gives so that's not really a reason to not say when they ask.
@@amythystmiriel Thanks, appreciate it! makes sense
Have you done bunker rush to gm? That would b nice
those late hellions at the end of the last game arriving half way the push turned out an epic timing? He was just at the point figuring out how to deal with the push then... cars everywhere???
what a great content creator. thanks for sharing the salt. delicious salty tears omnomnom
The chaos is hilarious omg
great stuff mate!
12:40 funniest shit I've ever seen
Awesome content. Love it :)
uThermal: Oh this looks bad for us it hard counters my build this is looking like a loss.
also uThermal:
proceeds to destroy opponent so hard he reaps mounds of salt😂
What a wonderful episode
Thermy Cheese is Best Cheese!
I love the name for this series. Someone gonna ask what race he is, and get an honest answer, then notice his name and not believe it. Then he'll ask WTF when he finds out it was true, and Thermy can say the name is why he can't be trusted ;p

excited for ur banger ESL Cup run release 😎
Hey uthermal, can we have an sc2 voice announcer with you? It would be so cool to get references to your builds like penguin brothers or something like that every time I build a viking or a Marauder
Blizzard isn’t making paid content anymore. So no
insane predictions @ 12:40
should give the salty guy an 'ez' just before game ends
Your micro is literally what allows you to win 99 percent of these games, it’s clear to see that pro micro can make up for the crazy builds
crazy games! HELLA ENTERTAINING
Love the salt. Its so weirdly satisfying
It's just ridiculous how uthermy turns games around lol
Absolutely epic episode!
Hi uThermal. I am enjoying lot your content:). I am wondering, whether you could make a video about the following topic: what does it take to be a top player, how you practice for a tournament. So, just give an insight :)
uThermal, that was 9 minutes and 30 seconds, how could you.
You make awesome videos! :D
You need to harvest the salt. I want to see what these people are thinking. Why are they so pissed!!!
