Aaron A i actually miss how the CPR-250 is almost instant power on when you need to record. compared to like the 6 seconds it takes my ZR-1000 to boot up. i've missed several interesting things due to that delay before.
i don't know if it's the lighting or the camera, but everything looks and feels so much warmer in this video, and I kind of like it to be honest, but that's probably because i have a lot of childhood memories associated with this... warmness... whatever it is o:
Rinoa Super-Genius Yes i think that was the name, most people just used the mechano label, lots of metal strips with regular spaced holes and nuts/bolts/washers/screwdriver and spanner :-)), as they were made by the same company you could add parts from other kits and buy extras. Fun to experement with lol :-)), that company is long dead, now its plastic with special parts designed to make one thing, not so experemental.
Rinoa Super-Genius Just for interest i looked up mechano, it started british but much later on there was a long line of takeovers, if any set was bought after 1960 then it was not the original design by frank hornby, triang/erector set from the usa and many others were merged into the company, so its a mess now, japan bought it eventually. Im not supprised the 2008 ones were crap, shame really :-((
yeah here in the US they where marketed as "erector sets" that C battery holder i made years ago and showed in this video is held together by erector set rails :D
Back in the 60's and 70's we ha erector sets. various lengths of metal slats with holes in them, small bolts and nuts, pulleys, string, gears, shafts, wheels, and a motor. you could make cranes, some kind of truck?, bridges, buildings.
Desmaad or maybe even 3D printed for ourselves! i could take the time to make exact 3D models of every part if you guys wished.i wonder if i should also integrate these with a microcontroller or something like that.
They had a smaller set that included a higher speed motor that i got in 1986 or so.. I used to motor in the walker to speed it up.. Ahh great memories..
When my uncle died when I was 3, I got his toys. He had a robotix set. He also had capsela. If you can find some capsela I recommend it. They were even cooler.
Pawn Stars should feature you with that, even if you don't actually sell to them... I had an original Vectrex and some games that I gave to GoodWill awhile ago, otherwise would've sent to you...also had an original Dark Tower, can't remember what I did with.
Hell yeah they are great! I had one (R 2000) new for xmas in 1985 and i played the hell out of it... id love to find another one just for memory sake..
My parents used to have that RCA camera. We used it to watch movies mostly lol
so far i've found 3 of them, they are really fun.
That was fast lol. They work pretty well.

yeah i'm not sure, it looks too dark to me.
I think it's the audio?
SoniEx2 audio wont effect darkness, but yes the audio is messed up also.
Rinoa Super-Genius It doesn't affect lighting, but it does affect "warmness": It sounds like you're in a room full of pillows or something :P
SoniEx2
it sounds like my cat was laying in the microphone >_>
ahh toys of the past.....
Mechano (the propper type) was so enjoyable too :-))
those are also called erector sets if i believe correctly.

they rereleased them in 2008, i bought a few boxes. but the metal was so brittle you couldnt bend anything.

that C battery holder i had in this video was connected together on erector set rails. :D
That set reminds me off a at-at of Star Wars
“Should I transfer essence or delete?”
Looks like something that should be reissued.

wow i remember my friend had some capsela growing up, but only like 1 piece. i remember it being so weird. didnt know what they where called. thanks!
LOL! this was my favorite toy growing up. I just bought a kit to use on an animatronic puppet I'm building for a movie.
Wow 10$, this used to cost about 200$, which was quite a lot back then.

I hat the big set when I was a kid in the 80’s. It came with a space man.
When I was a kid I had the R-1000 and R-1500 (Bront!), they were the best toys ever. And yeah Construx was great too.
I had this set when I was a kid I think there might be one of those claw things with the blue pad on it in some box in the basement they were fun
Incorporate the cat skull and various other bone collectables into some of your robots.
oh thats a good idea.
kool
I had this same set as a kid, I still have about 1/2 the pieces
Good video! I have a robotix set too.
i used to have toys like this. i think they where called "roblox" though
$10.00 holy crap you stole it!!! These were expensive new in the mid 1980s.
