I wish these guys would “modernize” something other than early 240’s. If they want to hold their latte with one hand and pull in the Target parking stall at the same time, buy a Hyundai.
I always find it interesting when I see people replacing the "Z" steering rack for a newer one. Is it "just" for the power assist and wanting the car to drive like a modern car? The maintenance of the factory rack is not often enough to be a problem. The inner and outer tie rods are available to get readily. I just wonder what the reasoning is. 🤔🤔🤔I've driven several Z's, with big and small tires, and I've never found it that intrusive to start the car rolling so that you don't have to muscle the steering wheel. Anyway, nice job nevertheless. Looking forward to seeing more on this Z. 😁👍
I see he's got pretty wide tires. A power assisted rack would help alot then. My stock z steering rack was worn to. I rebuilded it. It's because people turn the steering wheel when the car is standing still. This wears out the rack...
@@hoedemakerbart Yeah, I get that. Ive driven a few Z's with wider front tires, But to me, Its not that big of a deal to swap the rack. I was just wondering if there was some other hidden reason that I was unaware of. I dont know everything, (though some that know me think otherwise, 🤣) So I figured that I'd pose the question.
Yup.. cus he hardly ever replay back to any questions. Leaves info out of the video and descriptions...I stop watching after seeing all the comments lol
Digging it bro! Keep them videos coming!
I have a similar build and appreciate seeing how you made the conversion work. Can you please share what rack, master cylinder, and booster you chose?
What steering rack is that?

@@carterlrae i think it's simply because they want power steering 😅
The owner is after more of a refined driving experience. What better way to get that than a new rack!
