"...You see your new menu screen, which I'll complain about in a little while, and you get his weapon, which I'll complain about right now"
*-GeminiLaser, 2009*
*#1 quote of all time*
Glad you approve. :)
Haha. But compare it to EVERYTHING he says in Mega Man 7.
Electric weapons can never seem to decide if they want to be really good (Thunder Beam, Lightning Bolt) or really....not good. (Spark Shock, Thunder Wool.)
The intro music to Snake man... Totally sounded like the "Mortal Kombat" theme to me
Yeah, I can hear that.
Yoshi's island goal and score.
Apparently it's like mosksu
I remember when I first played mm3 and going after snake man first... getting to snake man... and game over... so I got so good at snake man's fight that now every time I replay I tackle snake man 1st and when I beat him without getting hit I'm just like... "WHOS THE SNAKE MAN NOW!!??!?"
Talk about out of order
MM3 is to me what MM4 is to you, I wanted MM2 and my parents bought me this, so this became my favourite in the series
Whenever I'm bored, I watch one of your complete playthroughs and time files by, always entertaining even after the 100th time.
For all the questionable stuff in MM3, it did give us the slide.
And some amazing intro and boss music.
I LOVE Spark Man's music!
It's a good tune!
I must say, you and someone else I'm subscribed to, make Mega Man look so easy. I've had to use save states for me to even beat the Robot Masters.
I think I finally get part of why some people weren't that into Mega Man 3; it probably felt like it was missing some things. It turns out that this part of the story is actually true.
Keiji Inafune, one of the creators of the Mega Man series, stated that the production of MM3 was rushed on the market and was basically released unfinished. Hence why we don't see a proper intro, why there's all those Controller 2 glitches (they were originally part of the game's beta testing, but they never had the chance to remove them), why the Wily Castle interlude theme was cut short, and maybe why some of the weapons weren't all that effective.
Inafune even states that MM3 was his least favorite Mega Man game.
that explains! but it's still great for an unfinished game
Those laser things that slide on the floor can be rid of if you make it go off screen pretty useful for getting through them.
It's interesting to hear other people's thoughts on these games. When I played Megaman 3 as a kid, I always beat Snake Man first. Sure, you don't do a lot of damage, but I felt his pattern was easy to learn to dodge. He does look funny though - like a guy in a giant snake costume!
The idea that basically any weapon in this franchise is worse than Spark Shock is almost unbelievable; it's the only one I'm aware of that puts you at an active disadvantage 100% of the time you hit with it outside of a boss fight.
This is a personal question, Gemini. Which one is more useful, Eddie or the ? blocks?
you are completly awesome, you are the only walkthrough/review/showoff person I ever watch, PLEASE DO EITHER MEGAMAN 6,9, OR 10 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
did anybody else notice that one of the rooms in snake man's stage was almost the same as one in megaman 7 in cloud man's stage? the room has 2 ladders with one leading off the screen on either side of the room with a platform and a joe in the middle that you entered with a ladder.
Now you mention it I find this very Snake Man's Theme also has a slight similitude with the Pursuit Theme from Phoenix Wright.
Yeah, I can definitely hear that!
Same company.
i can't wait to get to the last episode!
I LOVE THE ENDING THEME!
It's a bit of a different style from the others in the series, but it's a good one.
@GeminiLaser: 2 questions. 1. How do you know if you are at the halfway point of a level, besides dieing? 2. How can you shoot through walls/floor, like in the Sparkman battle?
Spark Shock is absolutely the worst weapon in the game.
-Stuns enemies, but is useless because you can still collide with them.
-Does no damage, save vs specific targets
-Is far, far worse than Top Spin. At least Top Spin kills enemies that it's designed to be effective against.
Hey, I found the the song from Orphen you were talking about, it's called Fangs and it sounds almost identical.
That's awesome! Like a horoscope, except it's a robot master weapon. Gemini is even a...thing.
Actulley , the only time which you need to use spark shock is the magnet man's boss . It's extreamly effective
@GeminiLaser: 4:02: Can you send me a link to the opening theme of that show you mentioned? I'm curious about it and I want to try and find the song you mentioned.
Something that would make spark shock INFINITELY better would be if it death damage _over time_ while holding enemies in place; it would also work well for magnet man, since he jumps around a lot
That would be too OP.
Whoa! That would be a cool idea. If you increased the energy consumption on the weapon, that would easily balance out any overpoweredness.
i actually find a lot of good uses for the top spin. one of my favorite weapons!
Probably My Favorite Video Since This Is SNAKEMAN THE AWESOME ALLMIGHTY After All
Snake Man is one hoopy frood.
why does mega man never keep the abilities he gets in earlier games? I'm pretty sure his life would be easier if he kept the weapons be cause then he would probably have a weapon for pretty much any situation. Big room full of spikes? Rush Jet, Item 2 from MM2, The Magnet Beam, and probably a few others I'm forgetting about.
+Abomb 64 I know right? It's like X not keeping his heart tanks and upgrades
I think I remember one of the comics, or maybe the fan movie, saying something about Mega Man only having so many slots to take on new weapons, and that the Robot Masters' weapon data would start corrupting Mega Man and turning him crazy with prolonged exposure. As for the Rush utilities, there's really no reason we need to earn those back every time.
@@GeminiLaser now that you mentioned it, Dorkly's portal gun parody really connects to what you heard
The Snake Man intro part appears in Mario Galaxy 2 too in the level where you first get the drill. But it was released after this video.
Item Box: I don't always drop helpful items... but when I do, its when you don't need them.
you do know that Spark man's weapon does alot more damage to Snake Man then the shadow blade does right?
guess your right, though the enamies popping out of the pits appear in alot of the old megaman games as well
Cloud Man in MM7
@GeminiLaser And people who go to Gutsman first, right?
Have you ever beaten needle man with no damage and buster only?
I don't know why all the hate over 3. Then again, I have a bias. This was my first Mega Man game, and it was and IS my personal favorite, next to Mega Man X.
The pretty ceiling of fun pointy spikes. This is going to be interesting...
Do you do game theory too?
Currently I'm having the Legacy Collection CRASH THE 3DS when you unpause if a big snakey miniboss is shooting at the same time. Does this happen on the original copies/roms or did I just get an accidentally corrupted savestate? (I'm playing the japanese version, for the record)
Ouch! I haven't ever seen or heard about that problem. Are you talking about the regular in-game pause menu for the weapons, or the Legacy Collection's global menu for saving and options?
+GeminiLaser Regular pause. Was switching weapons. Weird, eh?
Since you reminded me of it, I decided to test it out further. It doesn't work in Mega Man 3, and it doesn't work in an emulated ROM of Rockman 3. But you can just start a Rockman 3 game in Legacy Collection, hop onto Snake Man's stage, and pause/unpause repeatedly at the miniboss to crash the 3DS.
So, just a kooky emulation issue, it seems. But I think when you do it "right" in the other versions, the screen jerks wildly. Very odd.
hey doubleAtam i find out today about the crash you talking about
hey gemini when will you do the megaman 7
can i use your clips i would give you credit a link to you and your name in the tabs it is for megaman abridged. plz PM about it
Every time I watch this video, I expect the mystery pods to drop something else. Lol
@GeminiLaser ok oh well i understand u cant mention everything in the commentary :P but thats cool cuz i still love ur megaman vids^^ also very excited the the progress games ur up to :P esp the x series when u get to it!^^
can i use your clips i would give you credit a link to you and your name in the tabs i couldn't PM you
i lov ur vids i like the showoffary i like the comentary you do i even love the bad puns
I killed snake first though and it wasn't too hard, man
yes I just did that
Next to Megaman 4 (My fav Megaman game ever) I think this one has the best title theme. Although 4 had the best stage select.
I wrote files instead of flies hah. No problem, thank you for uploading these vids, I'm just another commentator :)
Oh, and thank you for taking your time to reply to each and every comment on your videos, that's what sets you apart from other folks here at RUclips, it gives (at least in my opinion) a sense of humbleness and umm... familiarity perhaps? Ah who knows; either way, keep up the excellent work as always! :D
I was going to point out Top Man's orangeness, but then I saw the stage select screen and promptly shut my trap. XD
also snakemans stage is the coolest stage ever! the snakewalls/floors and enemies on the background that makes it really THINK its snakeman with also great theme! sad u didnt metion it :/ but anyway still great playthrough^^
You make this game look like a cake walk when for real: I CAN'T GET PAST A SINGLE LEVEL XD
Hey, part of the title is a line from an Indiana Jones film.
From what I understand. Magnet Man is the recommended choice to start. When I played the game the first time, he was the6 or 7 boss I finished last. My advice is to start with Topman. Why? He is the eaaiest boss and level the level too.
So basically, Snake Man has a bigger hitbox.
What fantasy tv anime have snake man theme
it means being pushed. He pushed the box out of the way. He shunted the box out of the way. Same word pretty much.
This game has a great story, the best of any megaman game is. And yet they had no intro. Cartridge limitations?
I have a funny story to tell about Snake Man's stage. So you know the place where the two mystery containers are well I skipped them and went to the ladder that progresses you through the stage and I decided to shoot the mystery containers while I was still on the screen so I shot both mystery containers and guess what they had? Energy Tanks, yep and since I was on the ladder I went back down and entered the place with the mystery containers and what' do you know they were GONE! Two energy tanks gone because I wanted to progress throught the stage well here's the moral. Just do pointless, random, and lengthy stuff because you will be less sad when something like this happens.
A tragic story.
I can make use of all of the weapons especially search snake
Am I the only one who noticed that the space between "Top" and "Man" is larger than the others?
i suppose that joke at the beginning was
*puts on sunglasses*
too bright for me
When fighting Snake Man without the weapon he was weak to, I was experimenting with different weapons and found that the Shadow Blade does more damage to him than the Mega Buster. While I did eventually beat him with the Shadow Blade, I'd imagine some players would be better off using the Mega Buster, due to it having much longer range than the Shadow Blade and it's ability to be fired more rapid succession than the Shadow Blade. Try the fight with the Shadow Blade and tell me what you think.
Im not joking.but the cloud enemies are really fried shrimp.
6:52 Those aren't clouds, those are Bullet Bills! That is, they would be if it weren't for the fact that Mario and Megaman are owned by separate companies.
In megaman 3 for game boy when u got spark shock and hit a enemy you could switch weapons
Yep! They fixed it there.
you got mine subscription too gemini
In my first ever playthrough of megaman 3 i took on snake man first and I beat him without a single game over. The game overs were in the stage, not snake man
Congrats!
Thanks!
Abliged sorry for correcting you
I did snake man second on my FIRST playthrough.
@IAMBLUERANGERELECTRO: What's Wily Wars?
I get that alot bout that Nathaniel (a.k.a) geminilaser
looks like sparkman's stage is where pokeballs were born
If I play mega man 3 I would prefer to start with spark man and beat magnet man with the Spark shock
also that you are blue and make a cool noise! i also can't pause when you are in the room, either :-(
Sparkman Auto; cars hate us, people love us!
you aren't supposed to do spark man first but when I first played it I picked SPARK MAN. took me like 10 minutes but I did it! only to be dissapointed that the next one I picked didn't have spark shot as his weakness.
"supposed"? Pretty sure any of the 8 are "supposed" to be pick anyway.
+RedHairdo I had "brain flatulence" as whisper would put it when I posted that, and when I said "supposed to" I meant in terms of easyness. ( Is easyness a word? just going to assume it is.)
Yeah, Spark Man's stage is probably more enjoyable and easier with a couple different weapons at your disposal, but it is satisfying to clear it before the others.
Oddly enough, I'm best at fighting snake man, more than any other boss in the game. I usually stay in the little pit to the left of the middle platform, though.
spark mans weapon saved me in hard mans stage and during magnet mans fight
Really? During Magnet Man's fight, sure, but where in Hard Man's stage?
I used to watch this but I haven't watched it yet
what is being shunted?
Not bullet bills. It's their Sarsaland counterparts, bullet biffs! (super mario land)
I just noticed with the exception of snake man, every robot master in this game is red or blue. C'mon Capcom, can I have some variety?
the order I go is: Top man, snake man, magnet man, hard man,(please don't make any jokes!) gemini man, needle man, shadow man and spark man.(Sometimes spark man then shadow man but still!)
You know, I think I was tired when I wrote those. Forgive my massive herping and derping. My own damn fault.
...well I have been playing this and megaman 4 most of my life.
Enough with the "challenges" - why doesn't anybody actually USE a robot masters weakness anymore? Is there some stigma behind playing the game properly? Are you labelled as weak if you dont go the blaster only route?
Is this a general complaint, or a criticism of this video? I'm a big proponent of using special weapons; I recognize there's a commendable level of skill involved in accomplishing a buster-only run (particularly with no damage), but part of the fun of these games is using everything at your disposal. I like to challenge myself to start with the harder stages that normally demand special weapons, but once I've got a weapon, I'm sure as heck going to use it.
That being said, if this is a criticism of this video...dude, this is just the first two stages, and Spark Shock doesn't really work against Snake Man. :p
+Shoregrey dude, chill, GL likes to try different things.
You were right. I didn't care about the classic anime series reference.
See? I know my audience.
***** did you know that i beleive that anyone who can translate binary code is awesome? i left a comment in it.try to translate!
7:41 "Snake? Snake!? Snaaaaake!"
Snake? Snake?? Saaaaaake???
I heard MM3 bosses are also weak to their own weapons but I never tried that
im watching this at 10:47 am eating a egg mc muffin and drinking coffe
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
I HAVE HAD IT WITH THESE MUTHAFUCKIN SNAKES IN THIS MUTHAFUCKIN GAME!
Please update your Snakeman.
[clicks the "Remind me in 1 month" option]
How can people actually say that Mega Man 2 was the easiest? This one is much easier, and I could beat 6 in my sleep. Granted, Gemini Man is one of the toughest bosses, but that's about it for challenge here.
heres the plot: MEGA MAN IS GONNA KICK SOME FUCKIN ASS.
i mean, thats what i always assumed it was when i was younger.
why do you hate them?
You should've went to Shadow Man first.
Here. Have another.
Enough is enough! I have had it with this muthafuckin' snakes in this muthafuckin' game!
hm, i might have been informed wrong, and i usually trust MMKB, but i really need to buy it soon, and MM1 and MM9 and they need to bring MM6 to Virtual Console :'(
@EliroX904 i agree the only thing that i can complain about in the game is the weapons
I usually do Snake Man first. Huh.
I mean, he's totally doable first, and his pattern isn't as tricky as some of the other options'.
HA! LIGHT SIDE!HILARIOS!(I don't know how to spell it...)
