I really enjoyed this! Thanks so much for sharing! After seeing your pictures of it on Facebook, I created one in my pink domino too! :). Thanks for inspiring me! I'm going to look for those highlighters, too!
I just stumbled across this video - an answer to one of my own prayers. I keep a written journal but have been frustrated with having to flip through ALL of my -- er -- brain drain and life thoughts to find specific spiritually-related topics. For some dumb reason, it never occurred to me to have a separate spiritual journal, particularly in an organizer form. Brilliant -- thank you!!!
This is a really nice idea. :) I really like this setup, as it gives room to change it up should you wish. That's the beauty of a Filofax. :) I think this system could work out really well for me. Thanks for this video. God Bless. :)
This is an excellent video thanks so much for sharing because I had a spiritual section in my personal planner and it just gets forgotten, I always find myself writing on a piece of paper and pushing it in my bible and then I can never find it again! Thank you much
I just found your video while searching out you tube on prayer journals and have to say thank you! I love your journal and think it would be the perfect system for me! Blessings!
How wonderful to have a spiritual/Prayer journal. I love your set up and ideas. TFS!

Kristy, you mentioned that the RSV is based on the KJV, but easier to read. I thought that was the role of the NKJV?
There’s sort of more to it and it comes down to publication years and honestly, which Christian denomination you belong to. The RSV was developed as a comprehensive revision of the KJV, the English Revised Version, and the American Standard Version. The original RSV was published in 1952, revised in 1971, and the RSV-CE 2nd edition was published in 2006. Its widely considered to be one of the most readable (while still adhering to the lyrical language of the KJV) and accurate translations (including the NRSV, as well) BUT it is not widely read outside of the Catholic Church and some Anglican & Episcopal Churches because most Protestant churches read from the multitude of other translations including the NKJV. With that being said, the NKJV was published well after the RSV but is actually still very close in translation. So, the RSV’s original role was that of what the NKJV is to people who read that now, if that makes sense. But it honestly comes down to your denomination and what you read. I’m Catholic. While I own many varying translations of both Catholic and Protestant versions of bibles, I choose to read the RSV-CE or the NRSV-CE because I like both the language used and the fact that they’re pretty accurate standard traditional translations without being too modern. I also read the NAB (because that’s the translation used in the Mass in the US). I hope that sort of helps!
And keep in mind-I made this video 8 years ago so there have even been new translations and translation revisions since then! Also, thanks for watching! ☺️
@@KristySherrod Wow, you gave such an awesome, comprehensive explanation in only 3 minutes! This was so interesting. Thank you so much. I'm Protestant and love my NKJV. English is my second language, so I sometime read a passage in the NLT just to make sure I understand whatbis being shared and then I go back to my NKJV. I also compare passages to my Amplified Bible (Classic Edition) and I have a small KJV. Blessings to you!
@@HS-ml8dx you’re very welcome! The NKJV is a great translation! I have a really good NKJV study Bible. Also, the ESV Study Bible is a very good option, too. The NLT is great for comparing, as well. There are so many good options out there! There are also Bibles that have two translations side by side, as well, that you can find. Blessings to you, also!
@@KristySherrod I have the Spirit-Filled Life Bible in the NKJV, the Life Application Study Bible in the NLT and the New Inductive Study Bible in the NASB. Yep, I love my Study Bibles.😁 I've heard a lot about the ESV (very popular at the moment it seems), but it seems to me like the ESV and NKJV are too much alike to warrant spending the money to get an ESV too.🤔
Thanks!
As a RC I use The Good News Bible for personal use because the language is very up to date and is a lot easier to understand. However it's important that for any Catholic liturgy service or mass I follow the same Bible used within that Service or Mass. I completely avoid the king James edition as I don't accept it nor is it accepted within the Roman Catholic Church. Thank you for your video and God Bless.
SOUNDWAVEMAN thank you!! I need to do an updated video!
I enjoy praying The Divine Office (Liturgy of the Hours). Just out of interest by the way what is your favourite version of the Bible as in the video you didn't actually mention your favourite version and I would like to see an updated video. P.S I'm SOUNDWAVEMAN I've made a new channel for this sort of thing spreading the word etc. GOD BLESS.
Thank you for the inspiration Kristy!!!! ~ Carrie M.
