    I LOVE these pens, probably partly because they can write nice smooth lines even at an angle! I apparently have a very unusual pencil grip; I have no idea why, but I’ll hold any pencil with very straight fingers and little use of the thumb, more like a paint brush grip. So I always write at a very low angle, and this pen is superior for that!

      @LironYan  6 лет назад +2

      Haha, I was also told I have a unique grip (more like - "Why are you writing this way? It's wrong!"), probably in junior high.
      But now that I paint and draw I don't get that kind of criticism anymore 😉
      Thank you for your comment ^_^

    I have a set of Faber-Castell artist pens. There are 4 in the set: XS,S,F and M. The outside of each pen is black and the India ink is waterproof. They have a plastic carrying case which makes it easy to keep up with them. So far I like them a lot. Good to see your review, glad you are trying different products.

      Happy you enjoyed it. I will soon do some more tests with watercolors and this pen.

      About those pens, are they good with watercolours because I don't want to ruin my art?

    How long do these pens work?? Is there a way to refill them?? I bought a new pen recently and the ink finished within a day before a complete even ine drawing

    I love Peter draws! He is intuitive and talented, and very, very nerdy and funny! I catch him when I am in the mood and get notifications. I am pulling my STA pens. I have been letting watercolor flow-wet in wet, and want to begin doodling around things of interest. I just put all my favorite sizes back in their cup. Out of my easel drawer! My line confidence has improved to the point where I am ready to practice Ink on pages I made, for the sole purpose of mistake-making! Great video. Rock on!

    I'll have to give these a try. Kuertake brush pens are my favorite. I prefer them over the FC brush tip pens. They typically have actual bristles opposed to a flexible marker tip.

      This is one thing I don't use enough at the moment. Will maybe get a good one soon.

    I love them! I own multiliners of different brands, and in my opinion these ones are the perfect balance of precision and "slide" on the paper. Specially if u are heavy-handed or prefer inking in an angle. I'm very heavy-handed for inking, so I could only ink with a 005 to not screw things up, but with the Fabers I actually use a 02 because I find them so much easier to control than other brands.

      @LironYan  6 лет назад +1

      Haha that’s great to hear! So I’m definitely not the only one who feels the difference. I have a very similar experience. I usually go up to 0.4 with them, too. Thank you 😊🙏🏼

    Liron, thank you for the review. I have a set of Faber-Castell Albrecht Durer watercolor pencils. These are artist quality and I enjoy using them. I have used other Faber-Castell products; but, not these pens. I'm not sure I can buy them locally; but, one store where I can get some art supplies might be able to get them from one of their suppliers. I do have some of the micron pens, mostly black; but, also one green and one red. They are all water-resistant as far as I can tell.
    I have watched Peter Draws before. No matter what he says, he is an artist. Doodling is a form of artistic expression.

      @LironYan  7 лет назад

      I'm curious as to the colored microns, will have to look into them as well.
      And yes - Peter's definitely an artist, and a great one at that ^_^

    Hi! Can you give me an idea on how long will the ink last? Does it dry up fast when the cap is not on for a long time? I'm planning to use this pen mainly for writing.

    • @LironYan
      @LironYan  5 лет назад +2

      I think like with all pens it’s best to close the cap whenever possible (: But a few minutes should be fine

  • @KarijnsWatercolors

    These are my favourite pens ever, I've been using them for a very long time. I prefer them to the Sakuras because I have a very heavy hand and the Sakura nib tends to get shorter and shorter as I draw, while I had a couple of these for some years and it never happened.
    I am happy to see that other artists use them, as I see a lot of them using Sakuras only. Thanks for the review. :)

  • @marijarudakova

    For me very important is how liner holds watercolor and alcohol markers. For example, I know that micron and steadler holds it very well, but FC smudges and blures. It would be nice if you test with "wet" mediums too :)

      The aren't sold as refillable, but I refill all my pitt and ecco pigment FC marker. I use a cloth and pliers to remove the bottom cap. Pitt are much easier to remove. It can even be done with fingers. I fill the inner felt piece with a marker ink bottle such as Shinhan or copic.
