hi, great video, you can tell how much you love the series and the world of League of legends. i don't know if it has already been recommended to you, but it would be great if you could react to the arcane Bridging the Rift videos. they show the process behind the series and make you appreciate it more and talk a bit about its inception and trajectory as a "music company". . if any nearby subscribers can recommend them to you that would be great. you would love the videos for sure.

The video represents the journey of the 2017 LoL world champions Samsung Galaxy and their eventual triumph against 3 time world champions SK Telecom T1 in the finals. The main character was SSG jungler and captain Ambition and all the other people are players from the teams they faced in that tournament represented as characters from the game. Ambition himself uses weapons from the characters he used in the tournament. The final boss he fights is Faker, SKT star player and the most legendary player in the history of the game. There's a lot of history between these two players as well but that would be too much to get into lol

@@GOTGames yeah it's pretty amazing. For more context about their rivalry, Faker actually nearly pushed Ambition into retirement when he debuted in the pro scene in 2013. Ambition was Korea's leading mid laner until Faker came along and completely outclassed him. Ambition ended up swapping roles to Jungle the following year. This World Finals was the first time Ambition ever won a major tournament against Faker, after barely even qualifying for Worlds.

    • @Adonna2424
      @Adonna2424 Год назад +10

Here's some extra detail if anyone wants it:
The main guy the video revolves around is Ambition (formerly SSG's jungler). He has the Kha'Zix claws, Sejuana ice mace and Jarvan's Spear as his weapons.
The first shot of the MV, he is surrounded by fallen League of Legends team banners and weapons; an homage to each region playing out their seasons and the final teams from each region heading to Worlds.
The first guy he faces of is G2 Perkz in the field. Even though Perkz did not play Yasuo against Ambition in any of their games, Yasuo was kind of a iconic pick for Perkz in 2017 as far as I remember so that is why they put him on Yasuo in the clip. In the final pose where Ambition is going to kill Perkz, you can see the shadows of the game characters they are playing behind them. Khaz is a void bug stealth assassin and Yasuo is an exiled samurai who controls the wind from Ionia.
As he climbs up the mountain, you can see others that have failed and are frozen in the ice wall he climbs. Before he enters the cave, the character shown is Olaf with his axe outstretched (which he walks across) wearing a helmet (Olaf is a berserker from Freljord area/winter snow).
The second opponent he faces is Uzi as Vayne. Uzi's Vayne is one of the most iconic picks in League history and he still plays to this day. If you say 'Uzi' to someone, you automatically think 'Vayne.' Uzi is a living legend next to Faker. Vayne is an adc (attack damage carry) whose weapon is a crossbolt and is nicknamed the Night Hunter. She's from Demacia and hunts down all monsters as revenge for her dead family. Ambition is playing Sejuana, the Warmother of the Winter’s Claw tribe in Freljord, who rides a huge boar named Bristle and welds an ice flail. Again, when Ambition is running you can see the shadows of the game characters they are playing.
After Uzi and during the song breakdown, you can see Ambition running and the camera pans out to reveals a bunch of characters posed in dynamic poses (Gnar, Taliyah, etc vs Drake npc). These were some of the champs his team played.
Once he reaches the top, you can see statues with etchings in them. The icons or logos are the past World Champions (TP Assassins and Fnatic). The last person he faced was Faker on Ryze at the top of the mountain aka the Worlds Cup (which you see in the last shot of the MV). Faker is the Michael Jordan of League, the most decorated, longest-career (2013-present), most kills, etc etc. He's been nicknamed the Unkillable Demon King for a REASON. He's also featured in almost every single MV showing League players. I can't hype up Faker enough so here's a good vid of some of his best plays INCLUDING the LEGENDARY Zed outplay which EVERYONE knows: ruclips.net/video/krJwBkQ312s/видео.html
Ryze is a short-ranged Rune mage and some thought that he was the one in Arcane who teleported Jayce and his mom out of the mountains (since the runes are similar and his ult is teleport).
After beating Faker, his cloak comes off to show the Samsung Galaxy logo and that is etched on another statue showing that Samsung had won the Worlds title. The shot then pans out to see other players from different regions also continuing their climbing meaning the competition and dream to win never really ends. And at the end Uzi wakes up showing that he's down but not out.

@@GOTGames this is the official song for the Worlds 2018 as people already said. But every year Riot comes with a new song and a MV with some references to previous Worlds' editions. I didn't see a reaction to the 2016 song Ignite, so I leave it as a suggestion. That was the year I started playing League and watching the pro scenario, so I was a little lost the first time I watched. But it still is a great song and a great MV. And we will explain the references to you after your reaction.

@@GOTGames by the way, I do not recommend you play League, but I totally recommend you follow the pro scenario. Today I rather watch someone play than I actually play and who's better to watch playing than the pros? And riot always knows how to pump us up during the Worlds.

This song told the story of SSG (a pro team), their jungler Ambition, and their journey at the world championship 2017 (this came out in 2018). Each person beaten by Ambition is their path to the world championship. This culminated in SSG vs T1 represented by Faker for the cup. Best Worlds song in my opinion.

So, a bit of explanation about the RISE video:
We are following a guy named Ambition, who is dressed up as Jarvan IV (Prince of Demacia), who is travelling to all sorts of places and climbing up the mountain symbolizing the worlds tournament and him reaching the top is him reaching the finals.
Along the way we see him use the champions skills of: Kha’Zix, Sejuani and Jarvan IV (in that order of who used in the quarter, semis and finally in the finals).
    First opponent: Perkz as Yasuo.
    Second opponent: Uzi as Vayne.
Third opponent: Faker as Ryze. (Get it... the name of the song... Rise...)
Faker is called the greatest player of all time, because of his achievements (the ONLY person to win 3 worlds tournaments).
Ambition won the 2017 worlds tournament after being knocked out of the 2016 Worlds by SKT and Faker, whom went on to win that Worlds , so that fight was like the final boss/redemption kinda of thing. At the end we see more "challengers" climbing the same mountain, from many different teams, symbolizing that they are coming for Ambition and take the title from him for themselves, like Ambition did from Faker.

Facts: this video follows a player named Ambition as he climbs through the ranks to be the champion. The weapons you see represent different champions within the game. First we saw Kha’Zix vs Yasuo (a swordsman, Sejuani vs Vayne (the sharp shooter with a crossbow) and Jarvan IV vs Ryze (the blue guy at the end). The players take on characteristics of the champions they play. The last person he fights is Faker. He’s known as the greatest mid laner (there are 5 roles and 4 lanes). He’s won 3 championships and is known as the Unkillable Demon King!
You see at the end, Ambition’s team, Samsung Galaxy, is put on one of the statues representing that they won!

league music videos are usually split into 5 types now. the first type is champion theme music which usually will be used during release and their design trailers, the 2nd type is worlds songs. these are where youll usually find hype songs and where their bands(other then pentakill) were introduced. the 3rd type has been the rest of the band songs(so far its really only been KDA and Pentakill that have these) the 4th type is usually their cinematic trailers and the 5th type would be songs for skin lines (these can vary in themes - one of my favorite ones was the one for the latest star guardian skinline: Everything Goes On by Porter Robinson. the video for it was actually so well done with the lore and combination of lyrics and his singing that it made many fans cry during it which says alot about its quality.)

There are a thousand easter eggs in this video. It's so artistically beautiful.
It starts off with an unknown hidden figure who we don't even really see the face of and then by the end, when he's won the cup, we see and can easily identify it as Ambition. We see him climb up and up and up from the easy flat terrain to the daunting and harrowing cliffs, up among gods and giants, as he fights to reach his goal. That first hill, after he selects his weapons, could even represent the learning curve of the game.
I love the video almost more than the song.

Some info about League of Legends songs:
-There are songs made to sell skins (costumes) of ingame characters like the KDA songs, True Damage songs.
-And there are songs made for the world championship. These songs often have real pro-players dressed as characters from the game. Like in this one the crossbow guy was a real player dressed as Vayne, the one who wore a SKT T1 jacket were Faker dressed as Ryze.
-There are also songs which simply songs that tell stories about the ingame characters.

To be short and clear the most world championship songs are songs that feature pro player animated with for some songs also a few champions.
A good fact to know is that the mage-like guy with the T1 on his jacket is Faker one of the legends of the pro scene of lol.
I think the 100 or more songs playlist is the champion theme who are music not really songs because there is almost no lyrics for them and you have 1 champion theme for each champion so at today's date 162 music for each 162 champion (some not really good)
And lastly I would like you to react to "legends never die" the second best in my opinion world song after "rise" but I would say that all world song are banger except star walkin wich is still a good song but not a world song, not enough hype for the biggest e-sport tournament of the year

I do very much enjoy this video, as much as it is so much more about the players rather than the characters. The ones that I would recommend the most are:
    - Worlds 2017 - Legends Never Die
    - Season 2019 Cinematic - Awaken
    - Season 2020 Cinematic - Warriors
    - Worlds 2019 - Phoenix
That last one is my favorite and most emotionally powerful one of all. It just cuts so deep for me these days, and when you watch it, I have no doubt that you'll see why.

If you want a simple way to start when it comes to League of Legends music, then you can just pick the category that Awaken fall into, they're called "Worlds Anthems" and generally tend to aim for an epic vibe that motivates you to want to play/cheer for your team. So all the worlds song could be fitting.

There are 2 things you could react to:
    1. Worlds songs (like this one). In case you didn't know, these songs were made to hype you up to watch the World's League of Legends tournament every year. These are the most epic ones, the main focus from these songs are the actual song rather than the visuals. My recommendation: my favorites are "Legends never die" and "Warriors". Def check those out!!
    2. Opening year cinematics: these are every year's start of the LoL ranked season. They are made to have AMAZING visuals with good music. But their main focus are the visuals rather than the song. They are still worth to check out!!! My favs are "The call", "Warriors", "Awaken".

And some short movies or cinematics whatever you wanna call them "a twist of fate, a new dawn, ekko seconds, freljord the raid, shadow isles none escape, nexus after victory, bilgewater double-double cross, ryze: the call of power, annie origins, the path an ionian myth and kin of the blade (watch these 2 in the same video if you can), threash unbound a night at the inn"

This is one of my favorite League songs, it's so good! As others have said, this was the depiction of a pro player named Ambition, a member of SSG from Korea, and his journey through the 2017 World Championships aiming to take down the reigning king of pro League, Faker (also referred to as "the Unkillable Demon King) from T1 who is still today the only person to win three world championships (back to back, no less) and is still actively competing for T1 today. 2017 was the year that Faker was finally dethroned by SSG after 3 consecutive Worlds championship wins, so it was a really big deal. Faker is still making this climb himself to reclaim his throne and got REALLY DAMN CLOSE last year, missing the championship win by literally one lost game in a series that went the full 5 games. It's an epic story, and I actually really hope he's able to get it this year! As for the other people, basically everyone in the video is a well-known player for different teams that competed in the run up to the 2017 Worlds finals and they're dressed like they normally would be, but are using the abilities of their primary champion they used that year. The final fight is the one where Ambition faced off against Faker in the finals, where Faker used Ryse, one of his premiere champions, and as he finishes off faker and gets back to his feet, that's when you see the statue in front of him gain the SSG logo on it, signifying their place in history as a World Championship team alongside T1.
I recommend pretty much all of the Worlds themes from the past several years. The only one that was a little iffy was the Lil Nas X one, only because it didn't have the same punch as the others did. It felt like there was a lot of buildup and suspension building in the song that didn't really go anywhere (don't get me wrong, it's really catchy and the video is pretty good, it just didn't feel like a usual Worlds song to me and many others). Phoenix, Burn it All Down, Take Over, and ESPECIALLY Legends Never Die are all fantastic, though!
Also, if you like this, ABSOLUTELY check out more music from The Glitch Mob. They're responsible for that absolutely enormous bass drop in the chorus, and are a pretty well known name in the EDM scene. They're incredible!

There are many songs worth watching, but to start I'd suggest going through the season and worlds cinematic music videos. Worlds focus on the championship and the players. Seasons focus on the game characters. Also included one Star Guardian video because Porter Robinson is awesome.
2016 - Ignite (worlds) (probably the weakest of all the videos)
2017 - Legends Never Die (worlds)
2018 - Rise (worlds) (the video in this reaction)
    2019 - Awaken (season)
    2019 - Phoenix (worlds)
    2020 - Warriors (season)
    2020 - Take Over (worlds)
2021 - Burn It All Down (worlds)
    2022 - The Call (season)
2022 - Everything Goes On (Star Guardian)
