Main character: Ambition as Kha’Zix, Sejuani and Jarvan IV (in that order of who he went up against).
First opponent: Perkz as Yasuo.
Second opponent: Uzi as Vayne.
Third opponent: Faker as Ryze.
I like how they portrayed each of his opponents. With Faker as the finale, and making his Ryze seem larger than life.

@@Squeekysquid It's also really cool how Uzi was the only one he didn't actually defeat, as Ambition and Samsung lost both games to Uzi and RNG in the group stage, so he basically just ran past Uzi in the knock-out stage, who eventually fell to Faker and SKT on the other side of the bracket.
Faker was also the last enemy becoz it also refers to his moniker *Demon King*

Easily one of the best songs from League of Legends. But the best,by far, is Legends never Die.

Since you have finished watching Arcane, just a quick note. This is one of the videos that Fortiche, the animation studio that did Arcane, did for Riot Games. You can see a kind of similar style with the paint look to the art. Great react Knox!
Best thing about these songs, is that these are usually made a little before the world championship to build up hype, so these songs are also usually very hype. (This is one of my favorites and i literally jumped up seeing you reacted to this xd)
Edit: also, all of the people you see in this video, are pro players that have the weapons of certain champions in the game. (you might have noticed already but i'm still watching through) l edit on this, you've noticed. The one guy you couldn't name was Uzi

I absolutely appreciate that you actually have knowledge of League of Legends professional scene. So much of this video (and other WORLDS videos) are laced with the professional players and their goals to become World Champions. Even though this is from 2018, it still gets me massively pumped every single time.
The video, for 2018 Worlds, was based around the 2017 Worlds, where indeed Ambition and SSG won the championship, including beating G2/Perkz in groups and Faker/SKT in Finals.
The guy in the middle you were trying to remember was Uzi, who played for RNG, cosplaying Vayne.
Also for easter eggs, that cool shot with all the champions fighting the Elder Dragon, the champions in the shot are specifically the 6 champs that SSG picked for their Worlds Skins (Gnar, Talia, Jarvin IV, Ezreal, Xayah, and Rakan).
Another thing that people miss that in Fakers debut, he roflostomped ambition in the midlane solo killing him at level 6 and ambition was never the same since then, the craziest thing is that Faker was an unknown solo Q miracle and SKT Telecome T1 K were complete underdogs none knew who they were and they stomped them, he eventually left the midlane to become a jungler and years later he 3-0'd him in the world finals to conquer his ''demons''
This is one of my favorite worlds songs. After the fight against Perkz, the lightning shuriken (representing the champion Kennen) gets pierced by what appears to be one of Vayne's bolts, representing another potential challenger being shut down by Uzi.
I think that due the position is actually uzi rising himself.
That scene of Faker coming behind that rock reading Ryze book was awsome!
Not sure if anyone has said this yet but a little Easter egg about the battle in the middle of the video with Uzi, you’ll notice that it never showed Ambition defeating Uzi in battle because during the world championship that the story was based on Samsung galaxy the eventual winners of the tournament never actually beat RNG (Uzi’s team), Samsung galaxy lost to RNG during the group stage, SKT then beat RNG in the semifinal before Samsung would beat SKT and Faker in the final in the rematch of the final the year before

Theres another league of legends version/remix of this song with a Korean Rapper rapping over lyrics and has own verses. Its pretty good as well.
Wow Konx really suprised me with this one. he knew so much about the game, the pro players, good analysis on the music production perspective and incredible appreciation for cinematics and what they represent. by far one of my favorite reactions yet! keep it up!
The thing i love about you over other people that react to League songs is that you knew every player and you calling out the elder dragon was awesome wasn't expecting that at all!
If you like this then you have to listen to the RISE Remix ft. BOBBY. I love the original so my intention isnt to take away from how great it is because it is an amazing song through and through but in my opinion the Remix is just that much better. We seem to have similar tastes/thoughs when it comes to music and I know how much I love it so I have a feeling that you will love it as well. I highly recommend you give it a listen and share your thoughts on how the two songs compare in Similarities, Differences, as well as Overall Sound!

I was just searching for a reaction to this on your channel yesterday, and lo and behold today you upload it. What were the odds?
The book faker is holding is the spell book of the mage character “RYZE” in the game. To be honest at first I thought it was a reference to an item in the game and was thinking it was maybe the “fiendish codex” but then looking closer i noticed it was Ryzes spell book. I think featuring faker the guy who had to “RISE” up to become known as a goat mid lane pro and him holding the book of one of his main champs “RYZE” in a song called “RISE” is a super well thought out and well planned addition to the animation and so much better the referencing a item.
Also, I think each place signifies/symbolizes the ranks in League of Legends (in the time of making which is 2018).

My jaw is on the floor that you paid attention to the scene and the frame of reference around Ambition, Perkz, Faker, and Uzi (the one in the volcano that you were trying to rack your brain about), on top of the full musical and production breakdown. The best reaction that I've seen to RISE in a long time!
There's a Rise Remix where Bobby from kpop group Ikon features and he raps in it. I would love to see your take on it. That's the version I most know and love.

This is very legitimately one of the best songs to come from riots music side to date. The biggest question about this song however, is does the Bobby free lib version actually improve it? I would love to get a react on that alternative version of the song as it ends up handling the ambience very differently, and also features a lot more rap and hip hop influence.
this is such a great song, and the animation too damnnn! I really enjoyed listening to 'What could've been', 'Goodbye' and 'Guns for hire', you should definitely check those out!
Rise is easily my favorite Worlds song to date. Following Ambition through his journey through the 2017 Worlds as he made his way through the playoff is such a hype story. The video even shows how he struggled a bit against RNG, shown by him actually taking a couple shots before ultimately prevailing. Also, from the track standpoint, it's tough to beat The Glitch Mob. That chorus bass will live in my brain for the rest of my life. It's such a HUGE sound that just fills the entire mix, it's incredible. Excellent break down, dude!

Good eye at the 6:00 mark. That is a shuriken from the champion Kennen, who was being played by Rekkles at the time and has a bolt going through it. The bolt is believed to signify Uzi who is being portrayed as Vayne in the following fight who shoots bolts. Uzi's team at the time, RNG, knocked Rekkles team at the time, Fnatic, out of the quarterfinals.

If theres one thing to realize by now knox, is that Riot knows how to tell a visual story through cinematics and music, they excel at it. Rise, warriors, legends never die. they have recently stepped up their "game". They understand who to choose and what to go with it, to create something that rivals most big name production companies ( need I mention Arcanes theme song ?) .

RISE into POP/STARS into Awaken is a 3 video hit fest one after the other that LoL will never ever rival. Don’t get me wrong they’re still great with great content but Jesus did they hit the jackpot with those 3 back to back.

Seeing Kha'zix's claws in this animation right from the start made me SO happy as a Kha'zix main. He usually gets no love in these animations, let alone junglers (as the main characters is determined by the weapons/champions). I also main Sejuani, whom this character also uses so this animation is probably my favorite song/animation Riot has ever produced. My best friend mains Yasuo too, so seeing Kha'zix and Yasuo face off at first was really cool.

The term "climb" is even more meaningful than you think, Knox. It also means ranking up, the mountain is the journey from lvl 1 to worlds, which I think is the perfecr symbol for the whole climbing theme. 😊

The player you were unsure about was Uzi, the adc for RNG. At the end it goes back to him as well, because he was the winner of the 2018 Mid Season Invitational, and was favored to win worlds that year as well.
And SSG lost in groups against them iirc, that's why he hits him first and scratches his glasses
