    The thing about Delta that really saddens me, is that he is 100% Aware of what had happened to him.
    He found out that he WAS Johnny Topside.
    His transformation was completely forced upon him because he 'came across' rapture while diving.
    Kinda scary if you ask me.

      Honestly if you pay very close attention to what Sophia Lamb says throughout the game, she pretty much states that he is her actual father. And we know Eleanor was a test subject baby, as Sophia stated in an audio that carrying her was a duty to the people. The audios in regard to Eleanor felt very much like the one's regarding Jack in Bioshock 1.

    Regarding the death of Delta, it goes a little deeper than that. Throughout the series scientists constantly do experiments on things they do not fully understand. Keep that in mind for a moment. Eleanor's ability that Lamb constantly goes on about is her ability to have the memories and minds of all the "family" through which she wants to make her the perfect (first) utopian. This is an ability unique to Eleanor. When she absorbs Delta it's actually a reveal that she doesn't just understand everyone, but that they are all alive in her mind. There's another theory that Delta is the only one alive in her mind because of their strong connection. I am not sure which may be the case between the two but Delta in fact does not die. She is in a way the Overmind for Rapture, which is why she can control all the little sisters or anyone whose adam she has come in contact with.

    Delta is used to mark change. Subject Delta was first to change demeanour of Little Sisters. His presence and affection he showed to Elanor Lamb changed her. Delta changed lots of things just being what Big Daddy is - a protector who is always there.

  • @foreverfree101
    @foreverfree101 4 года назад +25

    I did know majority of that but some of that stuff the one that sticks out to meparticularly was the one that had Eleanor as Delta's biological father out of all of the cut since that is still in the game files they could have put that back in the remastered version and it would have made a much more interesting story because in a way that's another family story that seems to be the way BioShock is because I mean you got the first one that has to do with Jack and Andrew Ryan then you got the BioShock 2 that has to do with subject Delta and Eleanore and Sophia lamb somewhat and then you have BioShock infinite that has to do with Booker DeWitt and Anna Dowitt/Elizabeth so really all throughout the Bioshock series it really has to do with family

    After Delta was hypnotize big daddy by splicers and killed himself by Sofia Lamb in 1958.
    After Delta death. There was multiplayer in apartment character to join Sinclair Solutions in 1959 before 1960 Airplane was blow up and Jack will arrive in Rapture.

I find it extremely odd that in bioshock 2, and more rarely in 1, you find rosie suits, helmets, and boots just lying around, or hung up on walls and lockers by the airlock rooms. As if they take it off when they come back in from the ocean, then put it on when they go back out. It's a cool environmental detail but still odd considering the lore.

    I actually have a theory regarding the Conditioning Process using the missing game file of Johnny Topside being the biological father to Eleanor and Bioshock Infinite Burial at Sea DLC for my source.
    Adam is a generic substance that manipulates the DNA of the host, therefore it was possible (according to Dr Suchong) to use it in other ways besides superpowers. My theory is that the Memory Ghosts of previous users bleeding into Subject Delta (and Jack) induced psychological stimuli that gave them insight. I believe the Persephone facility utilized this phenomenon of Memory Ghosts to manipulate events and mental states using Adam to rewrite stories hand tailored to the host. In this case, Delta was given a memory rewrite strand of Adam that convinced him and Eleanor that they were father/daughter. Bioshock Infinite's Elizabeth stated the Gorilla experiment found in Columbia was based on the Parental Conditioning even if the parent was a "SURROGATE". So even if Eleanor was Delta's real daughter, the condition of the treatment wouldn't matter if it was one or the other which explains why the Developers drop that game file. But interesting enough that the way Persephone can memory manipulated Adam would be in fact a way to mentally Condition Big Daddies is profound. My other running theory is that the Memory Rewrite strand of Adam given to Delta is in fact the memories of Lamb who birthed Eleanor tailored by the biological bond they shared (this is using the game file bit of lore) which would explain WHY Subject Delta and Eleanor were the ONLY successfully bonded pair of BD/LS couple. All other bonding experiences in making a single bonded pair of BD/LS subjects ended in failure. So I believe the bonding process REQUIRED that the Big Daddies had to be the Biological Fathers of the Little Sisters in order for this ALPHA series Big Daddy program to work. So now I believe that because this process is too ambitious and kidnapping both a parent and a daughter to make into machines and Frankenstein's Monsters to harvest Adam would have made the citizens of Rapture too damn suspicious of the activities of Ryan Industries and ultimately ended the ALPHA series for the more cost effective Production Line Big Daddies who merely require hormonal smells to track and bond to ANY Little Sisters versus a singular one. Personally, I prefer the ALPHA series because it's more tragic than PLBD, the PLBD seem more like manmade Pedophiles high on little girl "pheromones" and suicidally protective of their Loli's.

    I think a good character to do a video on is that one guy who dies immediatly in the first game. His name was Johnny right?

    Actually if anything infinite is the "step child " of the series as it takes place in another universe and therefore is no more canon than the marvel what if series though the timeline still makes delta not be on the same plane as jack

    Thanks for the video mate. So who really was the first big daddy then? The obvious answer is Deta, but In the infinite storyline Elizabeth helps pair a Big daddy, as Suchong hasn’t been able to yet. So would it make that big daddy the first one to have been bonded? Cheers!

    • @TheBioshockHub
      @TheBioshockHub  4 года назад +2

      In terms of an identity for the "first" Big Daddy, I'm not 100% sure. I do know that the Alpha Series model was the first successful one to bond with a Little Sister. So sorry for the late response.

    • @thomascollett8776
      @thomascollett8776 4 года назад +1

      Mate no need to be sorry! Appreciate the reply. I did some digging, the first big daddy’s we’re indeed the alpha series. And Delta as the first one to be bonded to a little sister via “Care bonding” but this meant that if the big daddy strayed too far from the little sister or if she died they would slip into a coma (like at the end of bioshock 2). The infinite scene with Elizabeth was the first of the successful bonds where the big daddy wouldn’t go into a coma. Something about Adam transfer and the little sisters not being scared of the daddies. Pretty sweet 🤘

    The Jonny Topside being in the same plane as Jack doesn’t make any sense, Jack came in at the end of the Ryan Atlas/Fontaine War in 1960, Jonny Topside was captured around the time in which big daddy’s as a concept didn’t really exist, and he died in 1958

    I really don't think Eleanore being Delta's Biological Daughter would have had any more of an impact than the narrative already had. Maybe it's because I'm Gay, but I never understood why being blood related made things hit harder for anybody. :/
    Especially in this kind of story, because they went through so much together anyway.
    I always took this to be an instance where Blood of The covenant is thicker than water of the womb but ig I'm always a sucker for a found family.

    I disagree when you say that Bio 1 and Bio 2 aren't related. I mean, the second game might not be related to the first, but the second still holds the whole concept, universe and characters of the first game, with a better looking Tenenbaum of course.
    Plus there are quite a few references of Bio 2 in BAS.
    People should stop underwhelming Bioshock 2, it's a masterpiece just like the other games.
