- In this episode of my versus series I will be pitting Resident Evil's most recognizable B.O.W., The Nemesis up against Bioshock's most powerful Big Daddy, Subject Delta.
Who will win, The Tyrant or The Beast of Ryan?
Okay, one thing i argue against is what's was in the tatics, delta got back his free will after being revived, so he was like a human, not the same as a big daddy
You didn’t take into account all of the enhancement tonics and you plasmid choice is wrong because there is one plasmid you have to have equipped and that would be the one that summons Eleanor he also has a camera that analyzes his enemies and tells what the best tactic is
The armored shell gene tonics elemental vampire, drill vampire and all the upgraded weapons super heated rivet gun a deflecting drill that reflects all incoming projectiles, electric shotgun, cluster bomb launcher then there is the potential the plasmid hypnotize could just control him and just tell him kill himself just how Subject deltas first fate was.
tho and un-upgraded delta would lose for sure no doubt about it but if you count all possible plasmids in the bioshock universe , like gravity well, teleport its just not much of a fair fight considering you placing someone with the brains like Jill with no special abilities and was able to take out the nemesis its just plasmids are waaay to strong when you add elements magical stuff thats when balance gets thrown out the window..

Subject delta has a drill upgrade that can reflect bullets making nemesis's gatling gun useless, also you forget to mention delta's many tonics like armor shell 2 which can reduce melee and bullet damage, fountain of youth which will heal delta and refill his eve, chameleon cloak which can turn delta invisible and static discharge and there is a fire version which once hit by a melee attacks delta will emit an electric burst which will shock and damage nearby enemies. And delta also has mini turrets and most of delta's weapons hace multiple ammo like armor piercing and anti personal rounds for his machine gun
Great match up Rane and just in time to get people familiar with Nemesis just before RE3 remake comes out. Keep up the awesome work I will be watching and thank you for joining the chat on twitch you are one of the few I can call a true dedicated fan and friend of mine.
I love the video but there are a few things you've gotten wrong about Big Daddy Delta.
Warning: This is all from my experience during gameplay and lore tied to it. I'm basically adding stats onto what he's already mentioning. Basically I'm just gonna rant about Delta's REAL ability.
1: He's not as dumb as a Big Daddy, he regained his freewill when Elanor revived him meaning he's just like any other human or smarter.
2: Delta's diving suit is meant to be armor as well as a diving suit.
3: He has faced Brute splicers who have been shown being able to overpower other models of Big Daddy
4: Delta has much better options than the plasmids you gave him and the ones you did also have other uses.
Decoy Plasmid, could have confused his opponent while also healing Delta with any damage it takes and reflecting that damage back at his opponent
Cyclone Trap, is able to combine with other plasmids giving it the second tier ability of any plasmid that's shot at it. A burst of bees, an explosion of fire, a freezing burst, a telekinetic hold or even a large jolt of electricity.
Summon Elanor, Delta is never truly alone after he's reunited with his daughter
Hypnotize, Delta knows that anyone under the plasmids spell will be forced to do as he says. (The plasmid can take Big Daddy's out of their genetic programming. As in they are LITTERALLY UNABLE TO DISOBEY THOSE ORDERS.)
5: You didn't include any gene tonics in Delta's arsenal.
Armored shell makes Delta's skin as tough as an armadillo's shell supposedly
Freezing Drill constantly coats Delta's drill in ice freezing any drilled opponents
Sports Boost gives Delta the speed and agility of the greatest athlete putting him above normal human levels
Drill Power makes his drill just that much more deadly
Drill vampire gives Delta health and Eve back when successfully attacking with the drill.
Elemental Storm, with this any time Delta is attacked with melee he will let out a burst of either fire, ice or electricity
Elemental Vampire gives Delta back health when using the fire/ice/electricity streams.
Head Hunter gives Delta a boost of damage when hitting enemies heads.
Natural camouflage makes Delta invisible when not moving (like how he was at the beginning of the fight)
6: Delta's weapons are upgradable, here's a list of those upgrades
Drill: Fuel Efficiency, Increased Damage, reflector shield
Rivet Gun: Damage Increase, Clip Size, Heated Rivets
Machine Gun: Damage Increase, Recoil Reduction, Ricochet
Shotgun: Clip Size, Damage Increase, Tesla Shot
Grenade Launcher: Clip Size, Self Damage Immunity, Cluster Bombs
Spear gun: Zoom, Damage Increase, Acceleration.
7: Delta's weapons have different ammo types.
Rivet gun: Rivets, Heavy Rivets, Trap Rivets
Machine Gun: Bullets, Armor piercing, Anti-Personal
Shotgun: Shells, Anti-personal, Slugs
Grenade Launcher: Grenades, Mines, Heat seeking rockets
Spear gun: Spears, Rocket Spears, Trap Spears
8: The research Camera records and films your enemies movements and tactics. Just one filming run and Delta would automatically know what rounds to use and do more damage.
9: Rapture is at the bottom of the Atlantic between Greenland and Iceland, meaning that water that came rushing in came rushing in with the enough pressure to crush most submersibles.
10: Delta has a hacking tool that lets him throw out mini turrets meaning he would have multiple angles of fire on his opponent
11: Delta is able to walk along the seafloor when outside rapture and is only slightly floaty. The first diving suit weighed around 200 pounds on it's own, given raptures advancements I'd say he walks and runs with at least a 150 pound suit on.
12: Delta has gone toe to toe with two big sisters who are much more agile and stronger than him
13: Delta's health has been greatly increased from that of a normal human, he's able to tank multiple clips of standard bullets and multiple rockets.
14: Delta's Drill dash ability allowed him to slam through at least 15,000 pounds of rubble.
15: The spear gun's rocket ammo is able to send even Brute Splicers flying, enough of these could life Nemesis off his feet and off the side of Columbia.
16: Delta isn't always a straight forward fighter, Delta has been shown to hesitate when needed. He has multiple ways to set up traps for enemies and forms are deadly.
17: the electro bolts 7,000 volts stuns opponents when hit by a burst but the stream attack will kill most opponents.
There's more but you probably don't want to read anymore after reading all this.
Hell yeah dude! Subject Delta should easily win this fight since he has ways to counter literally every advantage that Nemesis has. He could even bypass durability entirely by freezing nemesis inside and out to shatter him to a million pieces.
Honestly this fight is not quite a stomp but is a definite Subject Delta win. I want to start pushing for Subject Delta vs the Sole Survivor from Fallout 4. It’s way closer and much more thematic as a fight with parents that wake up after a long slumber to find there kid in a retro steampunk setting. They both have massive arsenals and fight with tough armor. I still think Subject Delta wins but that’s mostly due to him having the plasmids which are better than chems and could literally catch and return the mini nuke back at SS. But at least it’s close unlike this fight
I get it. Probably was thinking too much on Bioshock logic, thinking Delta would out gun Nemisis. Especially with the various rounds he's got.
As for this next fight... at this point I think Delsin is mincemeat. Range helps, sure but what James can do blows his punkass out of the water.
Honestly I thought the same going into this fight, but now nemesis is just too much of a tank in my eyes.
You forgot to add the other plasmids aswell as his other weapons

You severely underestimated Delta's iq, in the game it is revealed that he regained his free will after being revived, which means he can think quite rationaly, able to prepare for battles that would overwhelm him, also his armor is far more powerful than what you've stated, being able to withstand the pressures of the ocean's depth. His drill could even catapult him toward or away from his targets in quick succession when he chooses to dash, and you also forgot that he had a rocket launcher as well. (you mentioned it in the weapon section but didn't mention it again later)
I agree. Delta should win this fight pretty easily as he counters every possible advantage that Nemesis has. The only thing that will be a problem is nemesis regen but Subject Delta could literally just freeze nemesis inside and out and shatter him into a million pieces which would definitely kill Nemesis.
But Nemesis in the remake not only avoided a close range rocket but catch it with one of his tentacles
I feel this is heavily bias towards Nemesis. The plasmid choice not to mention the noticable lack of upgraded weapons makes this a bit bullshit. Also, no enhancement tonics?

it actually the winner must be delta, because he much hard to get die, he had more medic kit to survive nemesis attack, also i know nemesis had a minigun and the stynger in advance technology, but delta had an advantage technology, that can hack it and use it, so delta can use those stynger to kill nemesis. and use incinerate level 4 to burn nemesis’s parasyte.
since both have almost the same height (nemesis 220cm and delta 216cm) it must be hard to explain because both also have physical strength. delta can harderned his drill with an ice plasmid power, and i believe he can drill nemesis armor much easier. and delta can have armor plasmid to reduce physical strenght damage from nemesis. since delta have more agile to sprint fast, delta can also dodge from nemesis’s projectile. also delta have ability to immune to all element like fire, bolt/lightning, etc. also his armor must be protected him by any projectile except explosive, so his armor are really protected him from bullets, not only the sea but bullet too, except the explosive weapon like nemesis’s stynger. also the bot may not come out because delta is not in rapture, BUT he can summon the bot to kill anything in sight ! in the end superpower win, there are so many upgradeable from delta’s genetic make him unstopable and he was a lot of hidden special ability.

I maybe a die hard bioshock fan but I’m also fair towards facts and proper research. But I believe you left out several key aspects in Delta’s favor: his tonic’s (which he can gain naturally and not from a vending machine) can both increase his strength and defense and grant him healing through two ways. Also, his camera is his most vital tool and you never mentioned or used it. Lastly is his defense. Even as a old model, he still fought against newer models, but the most obvious factor is that he was made to withstand the Atlantic pressure, which is 6000 psi or nearly 90000 pounds per square inch.
also feel like he didn't take into account deltas durability was for gameplay to make it more challenging, better way would have been to compare it to other alpha series big daddies which are very much bullet sponges

oh yeah i recently playing resident evil 3 in ps4, no the winner actually delta, delta can use that stynger to defeat nemesis in single blow ! i know delta would be the best at heavy champion ;D all fire thing in the game will not harm delta cause his ability is immune to any fire Lol.
You didn't account for tonics, healing kits, and bullet types.
Well, delta has a higher chance of actually winning, due to Eleanor liberating most of delta's free thought, probably capable of anticipating some attacks that nemesis utilises, probably because he's seen them over and over in the splicers he's fought. Also, Delta is much more durable than you might think. In the game he survives many hits from some very powerful enemies, as well as receiving shots from rocket launchers used by Rumblers. The mines utilized by the rivet gun could've been set up while nemesis was identifying it's target. Nemesis would blindly charge at Delta, most likely ignoring the mines. Delta could then freeze Nemesis and then use his drill to shatter each and every limb that nemesis has. Either that, or the gatling gun could be used to shatter nemesis at breakneck speeds while Nemesis is frozen. Delta has much more free will than you might think.
Subject delta would easily win due to his daughter helping him tear through nemesis. with Eleanor and Delta together the bioshock team would win
He wouldn't need Eleanor he would have no trouble killing nemesis
And also he has ton of plasmids, how could him lose
@Alastor delta fully upgraded is pretty much unstoppable plus in this scenario delta would be able to use all plasmids to put it this way I don't see how nemesis could win

I believe that subject delta would win more times than not. Not only is is diving suit capable of handling insane levels of water pressure but he can survive massive explosions at point blank range and can easily deal with a mini-gun or rocket launcher. He could use his ricochet upgrade for his drill to bounce back all of the minigun ammo and telekinesis for the rockets. If nemesis gets close, subject delta has many ways to stop him in his tracks to either make distance or to set up traps.
And he lifted entire Support beam off him I mean like Delta

Even with the video being innaccurate, Nemesis would still take the fight. There simply isn't enough firepower in Delta's arsenal to actually end Nemesis
i would say with durability its sorta like counting that doomguy can die in the gameplay but lore wise he is immortal and invincible its just done for gameplay reasons, best way to see his durability is with other alpha series big daddies that you fight in the game, all of which can tank a lot of damage without going down
I highly doubt that ending you forgotten he has a boatload more things to bring to this fight tonics the rest of his plasmids and weapons and ammo types Wich would be more than enough to kill nemesis

I know this matchup might be weird but hear me out, black mask vs chromeskull:both are mob bosses who wear skull colored masks and torture their victims and have disturbing parts from their lives, roman grew up with strict rich parents and jessie aka chromeskull lost a pregnant who killed herself because she knew what he was doing
You left out Delta's miniturrets from his hack tool, and the fact Delta has his free will back, and wouldn't just charge in vs larger opponents. His tactics are way higher than you give him credit for, as is his battle iq, and strength.
Delta could be fast and slow with his drill charge were he runs towards his enemy's...

Wait the tidle wave is way more powerful than the rail gun that killed nemesis and not only that delta's weapons and plasmids especially the ice blast are way more powerful than you seem to think as they can freeze anyone or thing instantly plus delta was killed by his heart stopping after the bond was broken not the explosion which subject sigma took one of a similar size seeing as how they are the same model delta can do the same also tactics and reaction speed is entirely dependent on the player so he could also dodge explosions if the player was good enough not to mention his speed when charging is much faster than a human so he would probably win especially since in terms of strength he is strong enough to carry that drill and all his other weapons at all time in the game plus you only had him use 3 plasmids and a few weapons meanwhile nemesis got to use all his weapons and abilities
