4:40 PM - 8:00 PM. All trains are included. Shots start out at the Kahn Road grade crossing just west of the station with the final batch of clips at the station itself. Since the last time I've fanned here, they have removed the small private crossing between Kahn Road and the station. A variety of rolling stock can be seen including ALP-45DP, ALP-46, ALP-46A, PL42AC, Metro-North GP40FH-2M, GP40PH-2 & GP40PH-2B locomotives, two Arrow III EMU sets, plus the assorted push-pull equipment (Comets, MultiLevels). YD-43 makes an appearance both ways with 4110 providing power. This train would be involved in a grade crossing incident @ Mount Tabor shortly after the last clip for this video was shot. Enjoy the action =)
I live right near the grade crossing incident at Mount Tabor Station. I heard the crash as the lead loco struck a tractor trailer loaded with new cars. Fortunately there was no serious injuries to the 3 train crewmen and truck driver. Police and EMTs were on the scene literally within minutes.
Lmao engineer at 0:53 really be chillin tho
That's the rear entrance to what used to be Allied Chemical. I went over that rade crossing almost every day for 5 years. Back then the Pullman green DL&W electrics were running with occasional EL push-pulls. The walking path next to the tracks is a former trolly line.
I wonder if this was cause of COVID, but I’ve never seen MUs or Push Pulls on the M&E and I’ve ridden it my whole life. The Metro North engines also rarely go up that way. Very interesting video!
I’m surprised that 6000 made an appearance like if you saw it too
I see it more frequently now since it’s on the New York division again. It’s attached to 4644.
12:06 I love that horn
0:53 is that a passenger train that’s a odd one, why can’t they just run a EMU / DMU?
Jimbob it was an equipment transfer. Needed that car somewhere else
Are there any plans to electrify Raritan?
Weird how 4502 was in diesel Mode?
Idk it took me a while to know but if you slow down 2:50 you can see it
I got to try railfaning some day because I like trains😀👍🚃
More than half of the horns: K5LA
I love this video! But I also have a question. Is train 645 always arrow iii’s?
Unless there is an equipment problem, yes.
what schedule is 645 and to where?
This is so much Fun ❤️
Do you use any accessories like radio scanners or do you just film with your phone?
Single diesel pulling one coach was interesting. I like the crickets.
That’s very rare even for a Deadhead or Extra train. Must have been because of COVID that it was just one.
Horn symphony
what street crossing is this? i wanna g o railfan there!
*in summer of 2001 my car was smashed to bits by a train. It was on the news.*
Where’d that happen?
Why the private crossing is removed?
I live right near there and that question still looms in brain today
Imagine Geep's pull Multilevels for revenue service
Man, it Must suck seeing that the 2nd crossing got removed
The remaining crossing is now a quiet zone
@@FanRailerman that sucks, that was a good place to railfan
I need to go there
Definitely a nice area. I live right up the s treat from Dover so I’m very lucky. I think M&E is the prettiest line South Orange to Hackettstown.
@@joeydoherty368 Mountain station is a nice area to watch too. I like the bridge overlooking the tracks
11:41 that’s my favorite horn
What the name train model without locomotive ?
Arrow III
I wonder if conductors watch the videos and say “hey dats me” 😂
Those of us that are buffs do I’m sure lol.
