Icey Ice..icon and Legend. Dynamic, Rock Steady, Magnificent Force, New York City Breakers..
Thanks so much for uploading this about a friend of a friend Corey Montalvo from the Ravenswood projects in Queens and the best dancer in that entire borough
Corey only needed 3 seconds to blow your mind
Corey's apartment faced the street and donut shop and he would practice on the playground often on the rubber mats
At the time he was beyond being the best dancer in Queens, he was one of the best in the world
I thank this man they call "Icey Ice" for paving a way in order for us to perform this miraculous move (Halo) & establishing this community for the kids to stay out of trouble "God Bless Corey" aka Icey Ice.
Dope papa
I'm amazed at all the footage in this video! I been breaking for 40yrs & half of the video is stuff I've never seen before. Thank you for posting. Peace
HIP-HOP YA DON'T STOP!
`I can't stress you important you are to the world. Thank you for taking the time to do this tribute. subscribed
I didn't know that was him spinning so fast on beat street no wonder why the camera was focusing on him at the end of the movie
2:20 First airtrack and combo windmill-airtrack-windmill in b-boy history!!!
❤👑
Big inspiration to me in the 80tees. I whas so happy when he gave me props at bboy pro am in Miami early 2000. Legend.
Too sick!! I was lucky too. When i was 2012 i met him one day!! True bboy master and legend.
@@koreanroc I didnd even know first it whas him. I whas dancing in the cypher and he told me that he liked my footwork and that I'm so fast especially for my height. I say thanx. @@papabreak5979 so dope!! Nostalgia 🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤❤
@@koreanroc Well done for making this video. I have not seen most of this footage. Icey Ice is an unsung hero and a bboy legend!
In order for icy ice to closed the show and be the last one to break dance out the crew he had to be the nicest one out the crew !!!
word up
He was on some wicked schitt
I'm guessing he was Mexican because he shares the same last name as Vicious Victor... Regardless, he had dope ground power. Innovator of the Icey Ice I guess!!!!!
Yes. Mexican American. Btw he is Newyrok!! 😃😃👆👍 ONE OF THE GREATEST EVER.
This is Icey Ice saying thank you for all the kind comments. Just a heads up, I'm of Puerto Rican descent not Mexican. Thank You Koreanroc for putting up on your youtube channel a tribute of me from my past. It brings back to me many fond memories. Peace.
@@coreymontalvo8314 Great to hear from you - you are one of my favourite bboys. Just curious what you did after the bboying days faded away and what you are up to now. Also in quite a few clips I always felt you held back and had a lot more in the locker as you would end your routines very quickly with a freeze. I felt you had a lot more explosive power - e.g. fast windmills which you held back...am I correct or not?
Mexican ? Ice is Puerto Rican my man.
@@coreymontalvo8314
Fond memories of you in Ravenswood projects as a friend of Kenny Franco seeing you practicing in the play area on the mat
And in response to the comment of you having more to give and how you would freeze - well as a former breakers myself I know you only needed 3 seconds to blow the world away with your lighting speed routine. Boy if only we had those 14-16 year old bodies we'd probably still be breaking. Also I know you turned to the Lord and I hope you are going strong mi hermano
