Nice flying area. I’m curious where you are. I’m lucky enough to own acreage in central Missouri to fly on. Recently purchased a Kite by Soaring Models from Armsoar. Impressive. Have been considering the exact plane you have for a more portable 1 meter option, and in fiberglass, much less expensive than other alternatives. How do you like it? Praying for all the folks in Ukraine that make many of the best models we fly. Take care.
The kite looks very impressive. I really like my fibreglass MD2. It is my first DLG, and I think it’s given me a huge amount of enjoyment for the price. It flies well, thermals nicely when conditions are right, and it is so easy to bring everywhere. It’s also good fun on a slope. I’m looking at getting a used full-sized DLG soon, so I may have more of an idea of the MD2s relative performance then!
Started with an Elf a few years ago. In many ways i like it better than the Kite. The Elf is the one plane i fly almost every day. The big competition grade DLGs are pretty finicky. Part of that is i just don’t have the programming down well. Thanks for your reply.
