Im def NOT into speed metal or what not but i can appreciate the skill and endurance it takes to play it.. i envy your feet speed,and each note sounds even and the endurance....wow! great job dude! very nice and clean.

I really like John. He's not my favourite drummer, but he's well up the list. I don't think Marco is as boring as you claim though. He did a lot of fun stuff with Braindrill :) I still hope that Marco will mature into a great drummer as he is still very young, but you know what they say about hope: Hope in one hand, shit in the other and see which one fills up first.
I think george kollias and chuck norris are pretty even on the drumming part ;)

thats right .. its obvious a question of personal taste. I dont like hiphop either. But i dont blame the guys loving the music... George is playing in a extreme metal band. And blastbeats are essential to extreme metal. I personal like drummers with more diversity, too. But i also like songs consisting of pure blastbeat.

What you're describing was only during the tracking. Sounds like he does 265-271, but on the album it's a constant 270. Ohh and I heard no difference from that part.
Mostly what I'm saying is that, not even just Nile, but 90% of all death metal bands have resorted to speed and speed only. I don't even like 5FDP (not death metal) that much at all because he mainly uses just steady double bass in almost every song.
I will agree with everyone else that precision and skill are definitely present in George's playing, but even after listening to many different Nile songs, I still can't get into it, and I don't think I'll ever be able to.

I think we're on the same level mate, but you have to agree that if Marco drops the "I want to be the fastest drummer ever" act and adopts the "I would like to improve" he could easily become a brilliant drummer. I probably all comes down to arrogance. Marco, at this stage, wouldn't slow down even if it would make him a much better drummer. And yeah, the "300 bpm" is just silly. Even if he does play for as long as George has, I still think/know that George would dance in circles around him.
Im intrested, why anyone yet placed a vid of a drum cover of Nile:P?... There are much behemoth, dimmu borgir, and other stuff covers, but noone touches Nile xD I found one guy trying to play "What mau be safely written", but um... lets say it wasn't perfect xD haha... Maybe one day I'll reach that level of velocity, and place one xD heh. I thought about recording As he creates... at 160, just for fun, but don't know is there any sense xD
