That was great. I also follow one of your online courses. Although I have been using Excel for years, I learned so many new features following your content. They are great for efficiency.
This is so cool. Thanks. I've been using spill ranges lately to eliminate the need to change multiple formulas. The only drawback is that you can't sort on a spill range, but there are ways around it.
I personally prefer the Fill Series feature. It allows to enter data easily with NO formula including a given step; particularly useful in conjunction with the Data Table (sensitivity analysis) where the header rows and columns should not have any formulas but values. Numbers formatted with leading 0s can be done so using the custom format feature. All of those available in legacy Excel versions.
Thank you Purna, I hope your family is well. Sometimes, I think you are Starwars "Padawan" of the Great "Johny Lever" . You are getting younger day by day, must be some magical herbs of New Zealand. HaHaHa ! Stay Blessed !
Hi sir I am currently pursuing data analytics course but I always wanted to work with businesses closely and that's the reason I am inclining more towards business analyst profession. Will my experience in data analytics profession help me or give me an edge while switching to business analyst or will it be a void?
hello chandoo! what if you have number 2 on A1 and number 4 on A2? if you select both and drag, it will give you 2, 4, 6, 8... how would you put just even or odd numbers using the sequence function? sequence + 2?
Thank you. This is an interesting question. I am not sure when in the real life we would need this. But here is a formula that produces the letters. =TEXTBEFORE(ADDRESS(1,SEQUENCE(1000),2),"$") Change 1000 to whatever number you want and you will get all the sequence.
Hi sir! You are doing great job! one question , i joined data science institute iam taking a reference your videos, you are teaching great then the institute. Is there any leakage of information on your free videos .
If you just want the names (not actual dates), you can use =TEXT(SEQUENCE(7,,2),"DDDD") If you also want the dates, then use the approach I mentioned in the video to first make dates and then use format cell to format the values as day of week.
Sir i have 4 years career gap qualification BSC COMPUTER science 2020 present i am interested in data analyst field course it's suitable for my profile please explain it
Makes a video on not dragging, then in the end, dragging - because, dragging in Excel is just part of the process. Joking aside, excellent video. On the dates, I was thinking of how to make this as a calendar view across seven columns. Need to see if I can get this to work.
Excel is a paid product. You can't use it for free. There is a limited feature version of Excel for free on browser. Just go to excel.new and use it. Or use the free alternatives from Google sheets or open office.
You can use the below technique. =VLOOKUP(A1:A10, mydata, 2, false) This will spill the vlookup formula for all 10 cells by doing individual lookups against each of the 10 values in A1:A10
Hi! I have been watching your videos like 10 days continuously. Your videos are awesome. But recently I am facing problems regarding using microsoft 365 functions in excel. Can you create a video about this ? How to solve this problem ? How can I use 365 functions in excel ?

how would you put just even or odd numbers using the sequence function? sequence + 2?
You can use step option of Sequence to do that.
For example
=SEQUENCE(10,,2,2) will generate 10 even numbers starting from 2.
Excellent information as always!
How do we get an alphabet sequence that continues into double letters (AA, AB, AC, etc.)?
Thank you. This is an interesting question. I am not sure when in the real life we would need this. But here is a formula that produces the letters.
=TEXTBEFORE(ADDRESS(1,SEQUENCE(1000),2),"$")
Change 1000 to whatever number you want and you will get all the sequence.
@chandoo_ That's awesome! Thank you!
could you please make videos on Numpy python

What do you mean by "any leakage of information on your free videos"?
Right

How can one get the data to practice with?
There is no data. You can write the sequence formulas yourself.
Hi sir, in Ms Excel Sequence option not showing...
how to fill monday to sunday using sequence function?
If you just want the names (not actual dates), you can use =TEXT(SEQUENCE(7,,2),"DDDD")
If you also want the dates, then use the approach I mentioned in the video to first make dates and then use format cell to format the values as day of week.
@chandoo_ Okay thanks

I have almost six packs on my finger 😂😂
Thanks Chandoo
Is there any efficient way to drag vlookup formulae?
You can use the below technique.
=VLOOKUP(A1:A10, mydata, 2, false)
This will spill the vlookup formula for all 10 cells by doing individual lookups against each of the 10 values in A1:A10
