That's right. So many systems did in the past. Why did they ever move away from them. It's not like they cost that much more than the crap Nintendo are using.
Nice looking sticks. Looks like the build quality is where you'd want it to be. I didn't hear you mention it, but do the joycons charge when hooked to the Switch directly?
PS1 & 2 Dualshock, N64 Controller, Dreamcast controller, original Xbox controllers, Gamecube controllers, etc. What do they all have in common? Answer: analog controllers didn't drifted. It was much later when controllers started to develop a drift. The reason? Game console companies started to cheap out🤌
Does it have HD rumble (Haptic) as the JoyCons? I have the KingKong2 pro pad and it vibrates and can also set the rumble intensity but does not feel like the joycons. BE HONEST!
Is it heavy or just about the same weight as the OG Joycons? For me I just received the NYXI Hyperion Pro wireless controller. If I attach them to the mid bridge they also wobble or rattle a little bit.
I think that Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony just buy these Analog stick from a supplier in China. That gives all of them big discounts on the Analog sticks that they see all the money they can save and they do not worry about the consumers. It always about the money and how much they can make and save. That's business for you.
The Switch was notorious for stick drift but what annoys me is more people didn’t find the simple solutions to fix this. Either replace it with hall sensing analog parts or just clean the affected stick with some isopropyl alcohol. It was so bad that Nintendo offered to repair affected joy-cons for free. Don’t buy a new controller, repair it but do buy a new and different one if you can’t stand the first party ones. No wonder more and more controllers these days are opting for hall sensing, like they realized their mistake. I bet Nintendo will do that too once the Switch 2 comes out or whatever it may be called, I’m dying for an official announcement for it. Drift did happen to me once on my joy-con and on my DualShock 4 but I fixed that.
The thing is, it wasn't something that people should need to fix. Especially when systems before it such as the Saturn analogue controller, Dreamcast, Xbox, PS Dule Shock and so on all used Hall effect sensors. Just Nintendo cheaping out.
Sega also had the controller for the Sega Saturn that had an Analog stick and it also used Hall Effect Analog Stick.

I didn't know the Saturn 3D Pad used Hall sticks. Explains why they work so damn well so many years later.
1:30 just absolutely manhandled that box 😂
Yep, it was based before I received it.
Nice lad. Bloody brilliant for future gameplay.

Sadly not. They need to be charged via the USB ports at the bottom of each controller.
@@RetroCore Ah, so close to perfect, only to fall short of the goal.

100% correct! 👍👍
The sticks in my steam deck are pretty awesome, but I also use a ps4, and a series controller while docked.
How's this for fighting games? Perhaps a demonstration is in order...
It's better than the original switch controller but that's not saying much 😅

You did watch the video?

Not really. They feels about the same weight as the official joyvons.
Never heard about this piece before Mark. I do have to say that I like it bro. I have to look more into it for sure. 8^)
Anthony..
Does it have the SL SR shoulder buttons on split joy con mode?
Yep, it has those.
Love your review!
Thanks so much!

It's not hard to replace a joycon stick it's just a pain in the ass. They are only £1

"Hal effect"? 😅
Yeah, it will come alive at night.
