@@TheNewblade1 because its not f2p friendly lmao. It was literally designed to have micro-transactions because they missed out implementing them on PTCGL
@@JustPlainAwfulStreams It's what's probably gonna lead to me dropping it. I know Live is essentially p2w because you still need card codes, but those feel more certain than the absolutely terrible luck I've had drawing cards in Pocket. And I refuse to pay for microtransactions, so I can't even get a Dugtrio, lol.
I've been using them on my deck! Primeape and Hitmonchan are carrying tho lol because setting up is hard since I only have one copy of Kabuto and Kabutops ;)
People also don't seem to know how powerful primeape is actually. If Mankey doesn't even get hit, a stray blizzard from Articuno can activate it. A poison proc from a weezing can also activate it which would do 120 damage to weezing; making it unable to Koga back. Even going 2nd on Pikachu, if Mankey hits itself and evolves turn 4, that's enough to destroy Pikachu EX in one swing. This card has a lot of potential now. Especially if you open it going second.
@arcanerite7428 ex Articuno is 140. Articuno 18 trainer (the only pokemon in the whole deck are 2 ex Articunos) is a deck that got 2nd at the first invitational tournament. Also EX Moltres has 140 like the match on stream (surviving those 2 turns to try and farm energy before the retreat is huge for that deck). New ex Lapras is also 140, not as relevant, but is still something. Also you could one-shot pokemon like weezing with just primape+Giovanni. There are uses for it.
Dude this is great, been having a blast with it! I still don't have 2 Sabrina yet so play 1 and a Gio, and I replaced the Morawak line with Sandslash. Less HP, but guaranteed 70. Also Sandshrew can attack a tiny bit, but still 30 for weakness.
If Misty said flip 2 coins and attach a water energy for each heads, that would keep her average exactly the same (0.5+0.5 = 1 = 0.5+0.25+0.125+0.0625+...), while limiting her highrolls and lowrolls.
If you change it to flipping 2 coins, you actually increase the average number of heads. You're counting the same odds multiple times in your calculation. Odds for 0 heads: 50% (T) Odds for exactly 1 head: 25% (H-T) Odds for exactly 2 heads: 12.5% (H-H-T) Odds for exactly 3 heads: 6.25% (H-H-H-T) Odds for exactly 4 heads: 3.125% (H-H-H-H-T) Odds for 5+ heads: 3.125% (H-H-H-H-H) Average is about .97 and that's only if you're attaching to something with Hydro pump. Most decks only need the 3, so the average is effectively lower
Before the Mankey promo, I was having pretty good success with Primeape while I still didn't have enough cards for stronger decks. I definitely would like to try out this build, but I still don't have a single Dugtrio, lol. I'm up to 4 Pikachu EX, no dang Dugtrio.
I opened 13 cards before getting my 2nd mankey. They give you a bunch of free attempts with the hourglasses, and the 4th tier of battles has a 100% drop chance for wins
My main plan in pocket is to play basics that have a 40 attack that cost 1 energy and evolve into something decent most basics have less than 80 life so if you go second and they dont evolve its a ko and then they have to build up whatever is on their bench
I know Dragon Shield is just an overall sponsor of the channel but it’s just kind of funny to have them as the sponsor on a digital card game. Guess we need some dragon shields in Pocket

@ I recommend to run all other slots but Lapras EX as trainer cards, it gives you a lot of control over the game state. At least be sure to compare both options 😉
Nah, Sandslash is a very poor fit for this build. You want Dugtrio as a low investment attacker that can theoretically wall while also doing the necessary chip damage to put some higher HP pokemon into range of a Fight Back from Primeape. Sandslash deals more damage and is beefier, but Dugtrio can attack for decent damage whenever you need, even if all you had at the start was a benched Diglett. Sandslash just can't do that!
You don’t need to, but every time you win one of the stages there is a chance to get the pack to open, with the last stage being a guarantee to give you a pack
