- It has been a long time coming, but we are beyond excited to bring exciting journey as we launch our new podcast Tangents with Tyler and Todd on October 18, 2023!
Get ready for a podcast adventure like no other, as we take you on a wild ride through our unfiltered conversations, quirky insights, and spontaneous tangents that you won't find anywhere else. Come along as we explore a diverse range of topics from pop culture to personal stories, learning from mistakes to questionable advice, and everything in between we’re going to get into all!

For whatever reason, comments like yours always bring tears to my eyes. I’m straight, I don’t _know_ what it’s like to be in your shies, but it makes me incredibly sad that people like you have to go through life always looking over your shoulder. It shouldn’t have to be like that! Why can’t we, as humankind, just come to a place where we can just accept? A place where LGBTQ+ people don’t have to “come out” all the time (like Blue from Matt and Blue said, you don’t just do it once)? You shouldn’t need to have to come out at all, you should just be able to just have a same-sex partner in the same way that straight pairs come together and it’s seen as totally natural. You should be able to say “This is my husband/wife” without getting nervous about how the other person might react. I hate that we’re still not at that point. The same obviously applies to religion, ethnicity etc.

I confess I did spend way too many years with an attitude of "why did this have to happen to me," but I finally realized that everyone has issues that challenge them, and mine just happened to be my sexual orientation. I began to realize that it was my orientation and fear of being outed that made me so much more sensitive to other marginzlized people. When I look back at the people I've reached out to in their own fear, it's amazing to me how many opportunities I've had to encourage someone else. Had I not struggled, who knows if I would have been nearly as empathetic to them. As Joseph told his brothers, "You meant it for evil but God meant it for good." Not that I buy that harsh theology, but I believe we have the power to create Good with whatever circumstances we face, and my goal is to create that Good every day. Mostly with my music, but also with every interaction with every person I meet. @@patriciamillin1977
@@quickwillies I love your attitude! Going through hardships in life can go two ways, it either makes you harder/colder because you’ve grown used to fighting and expect everyone else to do so or it makes you more empathetic to what others are going through. Sometimes it’s also hard to find the balance between the two because some people need that extra push, but I prefer to go for empathy.
I’m so excited for this. I love you guys! I’m a straight, middle aged woman from Utah and watching and learning from you each Sunday is one of the highlights of my week. You guys have such an endearing relationship- I share you with everyone I know. Thanks for the education and inspiration. Best wishes in this new endeavor.

I've been in tears when I know by there faces when somethings is wrong..these 2 beautiful men have saved my life a couple of times..I know for sure I'm going to be crying even more..its one of the hardest things in our lives Linda to be gay..I live in the UK on my own in the woods with my dogs..I lost one early this year and I'm so struggling with it..I'm envious of there relationship but so so happy that have have eachother..and that pool with the house when it's done I will cry with happiness for them...I'm slightly older then them and been through the war's,I pray they continue to stay happy and healthy...I'm sorry this is so long!maybe I need to get things out?
I was 17 years old when I had my son. He is 31 years old now. And we have literally grown up together. I didn’t realize how painfully young I was at the time. But when I look back, I’m so glad that I had him when I was young because we have such a close relationship now. I’ve been with his father since I was 16 years old. We are going on 32 years together. When my son was 17 years old he came to me and he was crying hysterically. I thought that somebody had literally died. That was the day that my son came out to me. I knew right then and there the way that I reacted was going to set the groundwork for the rest of our lives. so I did not respond in a negative way. I didn’t let my facial expressions show shock. I just simply told him everything’s going to be OK. I don’t care who you love or who you’re attracted to all that I care about is that you’re happy. It was so hard for him to come out. He literally agonized about it for months. He told me later on. My husband comes from Mexico where it’s very machismo. Gay people are not excepted so easily where he’s from. And it’s been harder for my husband. My son now has a partner that he’s been with for five years. And his family has welcomed my son with loving open arms. But I know had I reacted differently the day that he came to me it would’ve negatively affected my son tremendously. So if you’re reading this, and you have a son or a daughter that you suspect is gay, don’t push them to tell you. When they are ready they will. But make sure that you create an environment that is safe. No matter what.
I can promise you, he will never forget the feeling of you telling that it will be okay. So many parents look back and think that they wish they said this or that they should’ve said that. All anyone wants to hear is that they are loved…your son is so lucky to have a mom like you ❤️
If only all parents could view it that way. You are special. Your son is special. What a great story to share with our community. Thank you…for being YOU and for allowing your son to be HIM. 😉💕

Relationships don’t care who we are. They pose the same challenges for us all. But having you two willing to share them, is a game changer. This will fill a much larger void. Authenticity wins.
I can't wait for a 'mid-week' all things Tyler & Todd! I have loved getting to know the both of you as you continue your homestead build; however, I'm really looking forward to learning more about the both of you that has lead you both to this point in your lives and the choices you have made. It's not easy being a positive influence online but you have both lived up to the task and I'm sure that this podcast will continue to shine a light on the fact that love is love. xo
