His name is Adam. The story is a french story, in the original Beauty and The Beast have a lot of loopholes like "what kind of prince is he?" so I assume Disney did not bother with it as well. (they also excluded Belle's two jealous sisters, jealous they don't get to date a rich prince)

So you're right on like one count but I'm still pretty sure the son of a king at the very least is known as a prince even before they're given any territory to rule. Like you still call a baby a prince even if they're not ruling Wales. Or to give some kind of other Disney example, Ana from Frozen is called a princess but there's absolutely no indication she's specifically princess of anything in particular considering she spent her life in just one castle.

While we're on about loose ends in movies, one of the biggest ones I've ever seen was never mentioned, remember the Wizard of Oz? Anyone ever wonder what Toto's fate is gonna be? The whole middle was just a dream sequence apparently, but the whole original conflict, the very entire reason Dorothy ran away in first place, the whole "miss gultch is going to destroy her precious dog"... Completely forgotten, the " wicked witch" may be dead, but nothing and nowhere does it ever imply that her "real life" counterpart is, and there's no reason to think she won't just come back, and try to have him put down again, as Dorothy first suspected she would. A dream is a dream, but the reality is left unresolved and undealt with.
Well, she was riding her bike when a tornado came along. She might well be dead.

Thinking about it all of Beauty and The Beast could be looked at like a huge, dark propaganda film in an alternate universe where the french revolution worked for a little while but then failed.

So after seeing the live action "Beauty and the Beast", the Enchantress cast a curse that had the villagers forget they had a ruler who lived far away from the village, but it also made them forget about their family members who worked at the castle! As for Gaston, he left Maurice to the wolves after denying Belle's hand in marriage (But he manages to escape) so you really don't like him after that.
Enchantress has a point, after seeing the live action 'Beauty and the Beast', I'd feel like casting some kind of curse of forgetfulness too. Not sure how she managed to see it though.

The Prince was probably a lesser consort's son and or at most the third son; meaning he's not crown prince, more likely a fief lord, but do to his young age they may have put him in a noble estate instead which would still mean the king and queen rule that land. So if he becomes handsome his family will more then likely announce him as royalty to which the town belle lived in would begin being favored. I have ample writing time and little social life.....

I don't have the time tonight to rant about Man of Steel as it's just hit midnight as I type this, but I will say that Superman Returns didn't have the plot holes, inconsistencies, nor did it miss the entire point of the character and why you'd make a movie based on them in the first place (apart from, we want money and Superman is a recognized brand).

I always thought in Beauty and the Beast the kingdom was still ruled by the Beast's parents, and the Prince was presumed dead after being turned into a beast. I'm assuming each member of a royal family has some authority, but being a Prince does mean there is a parent or an older sibling in charge of the monarchy.
Plus being presume dead is probably why not many people visit the castle, and there might be quite a few people who worked for the Royal Family who went to the place and never returned...
There are several places where the Prince is the head of state, Monaco, Leichtenstein, and Andora are the major examples.
It's feasible. Royalty never have just one castle and they don't just preside over one nondescript town. They all probably skived off to another one and left the deformed prince to rot. But I don't think the original story or any Disney canon really talks about him having living relatives, mainly because they don't care about logistics and how a place was being governed during the prince's cursed interim.
Given we only see one town out of the entire kingdom, it's entirely possible that he has living relatives off in other parts of the country doing their sovereign thing. After he became cured, he'll likely reconnect with them. Who knows.
I could have sworn I read somewhere that the Beast/Prince is an orphan by the time the witch comes a long. It would make sense since a kid with no parents and whose only guardians are also his servants (who he could get rid of whenever, because ya know...prince) would grow up to be a bit of a brat by the time the witch gets him.
I doubt an orphan royal would grow up to be spoiled. Most people don't understand the sheer gravity of responsibility and near military upbringing it entails. Especially in his case, he wouldn't have ruled until he was an adult, with a regent lord running the kingdom in his stead and his childhood spent rigidly training him to rule once he's old enough to accept the responsibility.
Spoiled royals were usually those brought up in a lofty setting, the siblings of the heir apparent, as the firstborn in line to rule would grow up a strict lifestyle, while the other princes and princesses would have more liberties and freedoms, since they wouldn't truly be expected to rule.
If Beast was a second or so child, his vain and vapid behavior would make a lot more sense. Think of the current British monarchy, with Princes William and Harry; William is very staunch, prim and proper, while Harry is more "free spirited".
Aside from living in the castle, he doesn't actually seem to rule anything. Maybe prince is more of an artifact title and his family is no longer in charge, which would explain why everybody seem to have forgotten that the castle even exists.

I thought the implication in Pinocchio is that the stage coach magician IS justice. That delinquent kids were being served their due. Pinocchio basically gets away with a jailbreak there, and promptly repents his actions.
Also, The Man Of Steel wasn't nearly as bad as Superman Returns. Not by a long shot. At least he won on his own power and heritage, and not due to Lex Luthor's made-up girlfriend ex-machina.
Man, that's fucked up. Be kind of a pain in the ass as a kid, and get turned into a donkey and sold as a result? Hell, Pinocchio didn't even do anything that bad to get himself in that situation. If that's all the bad behavior it takes to get marked as a "bad kid" and sold into a short life of donkey-slavery, the world of Pinocchio is a dystopia of horrific proportions.

There was a book called "The Beast Within: A Tale of Beauty's Prince" that came out after Beauty and the Beast that, while I don't know if Disney considers it "officially" canon, explains the backstory of Prince Adam (The Beast). He was apparently well known and liked within the town, even being a good friend of Gaston's. However when he found out the woman he was betrothed to named Circe was actually a farmer, he dismissed her even though he had originally been attracted to her physical beauty. When she returns disguised as a beggar woman, the Prince showed no mercy towards her wish to forgive him, and so she and her three sisters cursed him with the spell that would turn him into a monster. Soon, the Prince's fear gets the better of him and he decides to marry a princess named Tulip in hopes of loving her. Unfortunately, as the castle begins to endure more phenomenons, he becomes infuriated and throws Tulip out when he believes she has deceived him into thinking she loved him. Eventually, his transformation finishes and with it the dissipation of memories of his past life as he slowly descends into an animalistic mindset. When he does meet Belle, however, he comes to love her. The sisters attempt to prevent the Beast from breaking the spell by manipulating the arrival of Gaston and the mob, and nearly the Beast's death. However, Circe brings the Beast to life and restores him to human form, allowing the Prince to live happily with Belle.
Man, I know I should comment on the topic, but I just can't get that tie clip out of my head. It's so mesmerizing.

The official conclusion to that Superman story from Arrowverse's Crisis on Infinite Earths is that Joker gases The Daily Planet and kills everyone but Superman. Superman says repeatedly that he has lost everything and has no family so apparently he never raised that kid. He mentions him by name but we never see him and we never hear about Superman needing to take care of him instead of saving the world. The entire multiverse ends and never once does he check on his kid. That kid is either dead or evil.
The "kid" would be 18 or 19 years old at that point, perfectly capable of taking care of himself, probably busy attending Met U or CCU, also as there were infinite universes we don't know if that was the same universe of the movie or just a variant of it where things went horribly wrong, like earth 2 where half of them were evil.

I realize it's the same universe but it still could be a variant of that universe as we have to assume there were also multiple variations of that universe the same way there was of earth 1 and of Smallville's universe. There is also the issue that we have to take that whole cameo (and the Smallville one) with a grain of salt as them all being in the same multiverse opens up a worm hole of inconsistencies. So to me it was a cute cameo but that's it.

Probably not. There's billions of people on the internet, hundreds of millions of whom have access to the internet and Hollywood blockbusters. There's likely a few thousand or so who readily share your exact opinion.
Personally, they all suck equally. Returns was campy, while Snyder's movies are over inflated nonsense with no substance.

About Beauty and the Beast... there's a Christmas movie that starts off a year after the events of the original movie, and Belle and the Prince are married. The Prince is said to be a kind and generous prince, loved by all the people in the land. Of course, there is one giant plot hole... 11 years have passed since the Prince got turned into a Beast (apparently the rose took 10 years to wilt away completely) yet everyone under the Prince's employment look like they haven't aged a day, and the adults were never told about the enchantment... AND NO ONE QUESTIONS IT! You'd think the families of the servants working for the Prince wonder what happened to their husbands/wives/fathers/mothers/siblings/adult children for 10 years, You wouldn't expect every single relative and friend of every single servant working for the Prince to be living with the servants in some sort of isolated commune.

Fun fact about beauty and the beast, if you look at the details of the narrative detailing the prince, you find out he was cursed when he was a ten ish years old child, turning away a creepy old woman away like all children are taught to do... the channel film theory went into some depth with it.

Theres no loose end with Superman returns it seems he'll be apart of the kids life from afar, eventually cyclops and lois will break up I guess and the kid will find out supes is his real father. What u described as to what could happen was bryan singers rough idea for a sequel.
SuperKing604 So, cyclops would just be okay with superman being in his supposed sons life. I'm thinking jilted cyclops becomes the villain, and he also knows superman's secret weakness. Plus he can raise his son to hate superman.
I assumed from the ending the kid had been made aware of this fact. If not from his sudden Superpowers then from Superman's whispering on his ear or his monologue at the end.
I would totally watch that Superman movie Dan proposed. He better write that thing up and get that bank from it, if only to buy some cold medicine.
I Rosencrantz Exactly, it sounds like a good movie. His kid having most of his powers, not having a weakness to Kryptonite, and being a mad/angsty/goth teenager from a middle class white family.
Yeah, it's really only a loose end because the movie never became a franchise. It'd be like if "Iron Man" had bombed in theaters and the whole scene with Nick Fury in his house was a gigantic false start.
OPCD is my favorite cracked show I am glad its back I hope the make them more frequently in the future.
