I watched a clip of one of his private lessons & it was so sad… because this kid was learning how to sing an Aerosmith tune, and was actually doing it really well… and Ken is telling this kid, who has a great voice.. “ ok but you don’t want to sound like that, you to have more GIRTH IN THERE… “ which of course , any singer knows… is absolute death. That is the worst thing you could imprint on a young singer. Weight kills the voice.
i always though guy has some issues, he said rob halford sing all in falsetto and other bullshit, he in many videos thinks hes better then anyone else even in few seconds of singing in studio its rediculous
I wasn't a fan of *Shout* his first band but have his *Tamplin & Friends* - _An Axe To Grind_ CD. Scott Van Zen is a good guitarist and loved the instrumental _Music Box_ and Lanny Cordola's _Bouree in E minor._ The songs _Not Alone_ and _Straight Between The Eyes_ were the two with vocals that I really liked back in the day. I also have the CD of his next album _Soul Survivor_ but can't name one song I remember playing just by looking at the song list. I have CD's of his other project *Magdallan* but looking at the cover of _Big Bang_ and I once again can't name any songs I listened too often by just the names.
