You can tell the homes were built as if it's the builders own home. Great quality all around.

Hi, Aaron, Micki, and Ala. First let me say that I love and have been watching all of your videos. I also share your videos with others who are interested in visiting and living in Kigali. I have a question: Why do some houses have gates/bars on the windows? I know you folks know when you see gates or bars on windows back in neighborhoods in the states, it usually means a “rough” neighborhood.😉 However, I have not seen any bad neighborhoods that you’ve visited. So I wondered about the bars. 😊

In Africa we build houses for family and even extended family to live in together. Bath bub in a large family doesn't stand really except maybe in master bedroom. We are not individualistic like in the west. Sorry!
If you want to bathe a child or even an elder relative that makes you individualistic? Some people prefer to bath in a tub instead of a shower. It's only a preference. Every person in one geographical area are NOT all the same.

When I was growing up we had one bathroom with a bathtub and no shower. We never had a shower growing up and this was the standard in our neighborhood. So naturally I prefer a bath which after a long day is more relaxing and calming to both body and mind. After a nice bath then you are equipped to take on that large extended family living under one roof.

Very nice home. The price is not bad too me, but I am from California. I would like a bathtub and a walk-in closet. Would it be possible to have the builder or someone else enclose a wall in a bedroom to make a larger closet area? I know some of us from America have problems with maid quarters because of our history. If I had a maid I would decorate the room very nice and the outside area with beautiful plants and sitting area for all too enjoy.
Yes anything is possible in ur case u will need an architect to build or buy one of these with an adjacent bedroom and poke a hole through the wal and make it a closet

There is no space in the kitchen for a refrigerator, I noticed this is usually the case in most of the houses you have shown us. A four bedroom house means a large family, therefore they need a large refrigerator, I just don't understand why they won't make the kitchen larger to accommodate one. No dishwasher. Also there is no laundry room, how is the clothes going to get washed. For theses reasons the house is overpriced.
Most of houses have washer not in the main house and the fridge will be any place just pluged in.
you need only a laundry machine. No need for dryer. The sun will freely do that for you. Dishwashers are not prevalent in Africa as most do dishes by hand.
I really don't like the idea of no bathtub. Closets could be more spacious. Most of us Sisters here in the States have a lot of clothes. The price is excellent though. Thanks for showing.

Could you talk Jackson into telling his boss to build some homes 2bm no maid quarters!. Some of us aren't interested in having maids or slaves. Need to go to gambia wiith20,000. and ur fix in
Also know that people change the maid quarters and make them rental studios or rooms. As well, when you build...you choose what you want to do with that property...and most homes are more than two bedrooms that are selling...you could look into the apartments or condos that don't have maid quarters.

The mosquitos are a pain at first. They calm down after a few weeks.
