My mother’s first crochet project was a blanket that she made for me. She thought it was terrible but it’s my most cherished possession. The colors are also very funky. It’s probably close to 45 years old. She made me 5 blankets after that but that first one is my favorite. Please save that blanket for your son. He will cherish it also. My mother is gone but every time I use it I feel every stitch she made.
That’s amazing! I’ve put that one up now because it’s starting to come a little undone, but I really hope he feels the same way when he’s older. If it weren’t for him I’m not sure I would have even started crocheting in the first place and found my love of crafts!
Nice to meet you! I am a cross stitcher, I also crochet, knit, quilt and a few other things that I try. Your stitching is beautiful. The crochet is great! I wanted to make that study in texture too. I might have to go get some more yarn. Good luck in school. I am a retired nurse. I got my associate degree first. When we lived in Florida I went back to school and I got my BSN at USF. You can do this!!!

Omg ! Ya ppl call me grandma too ..ugh ...but I'm a crafter , always have been ..I also crochet and cross stitch ..I can't have too many wips either ..as soon as I start a new one , I tend to never go back to the others ...welcome to the community ❤😁

Bravo, Ashley! Great beginning! Best wishes in this new venture. A suggestion: speak a little louder, or sit closer to the microphone. And I’m so impressed that you can find any time to stitch with two little boys to look after.
Thank you! I appreciate your feedback, I will definitely remember that. Sometimes I’m up with the little one at 5:30 in the morning and I just stay up and stitch in the living room when he goes back to sleep. I survive off of coffee lol.

Great video! I, too wear my hair up 98% of the time and I also wanted to leave my hair down for my first flosstube but it was obviously bothering me because I kept messing with it so from now on it will probably be up on my head as well! Enjoyed your video and look forward to seeing your progress! I have not even started my PP sal but I definitely want to but I have so many things I wanna start BUT NOT BEFORE I FINISH a couple wips I have going! I can't have to many wips going at same time because for now anyway it confuses me! Makes me feel like to much stuff is unfinished because besides xstitch, I have a couple embroidery wips and several diamond paintings wips as well! Good luck 👍
I have an ungodly amount of charts that I’ve found randomly and saved, and I see so many I want to buy too. I have to say cross stitching is definitely an addicting hobby! But I too have to finish at least one before I start the next or I’ll just never get anywhere 😂 My friend just got a diamond painting kit and I’m waiting to hear how she likes it, I’m interested in that as well. Can’t wait to see your progress throughout too!!!!
