It was a great idea on the part of the apartment complex to put art there. The view sucks out of that window, but those murals add something and will look great when photographed for their rental listings.
This was so awesome to watch, the best part is you walking through the whole process to find a solution that fits the client needs - stuff I would have never heard at school (not the one I went to anyway). Definitely aspire to do murals one day as well.
PRISCILLA VANNESSA I’m glad you got something from the video! If you have any other questions of stuff you didn’t learn in school let me know and maybe I can work them into future videos
Thank you for sharing your world, I'm a retired muralist, I love reliving my younger days when I painted walls and windows. I occasionally make it over to Seattle and will stop in one day. Happy painting!
maybe but maybe not, because Travis i think his name was was wrapping the mural around edges so the view from the windows at a certain angle would line up nice.
Your videos are always so informative, very down to earth and they really show the greatness in people with, Travis, the sweet camera man and others all around you. Been seeing your vids whenever I can but I likely speak for everyone here: You're truly inspirational. The realest person I've ever seen on youtube. Keep being you: The Man
You inspire more then I could put into words. Your greatness is on another level. Thank you for making me see art that’s truly so immersive and imaginative. I used to be and lost the touch of just doodling. I owe it to you for helping me get back to my roots
I use RUclips for learning and podcasts and then SHIT LIKE THIS! I mean dude, your work is insanely amazing, but your demeanor and your humble attitude bring it on to RUclips in SUCH a palatable manner. Please don’t stop painting and please don’t stop filming. This kind of thing is the future of entertainment. You learn some, you laugh some, you relate some and you feel happier having spent your time that way. It’s not TV it’s more like life in fuckin motion, and done very well at that. Haha. Much respect. Thank you dude, for real.
god dame those prints came out great man but watching u start to finish with this project really put it in perspective on how much preparation was needed before u even started the mural really loving the content man o yeah i drew one of ur hoodie guys in my sketchbook after binge watching u when i first found ur channel thanks man
Yeah it took a lot more logistical work than a regular mural and I had to depend on people other than myself which is nerve racking. Thanks for watching!
I just recently started painting murals, and I have been watching all of your videos nonstop! I live in Kinshasa, Congo (central Africa) where art is just not really a super present part of society, so being able to paint and add some bright color and hopeful messages to parts of the city that are kind of in ruins has been so awesome. Murals make such a huge difference in how the community thinks of itself. It's awesome to be part of the influence to have people take pride in themselves and their city! Keep up the rad work! Would love to have you come to Congo someday!
Wow, my head is spinning. I have so many questions. So Ten Hun, since in my world, sitting down having coffee with unlimited time to pick your brain. I will satisfy my need to know with a little thing called, research. I won’t have the opportunity to include this amazing process in in my artistic journey. But you inspire me to follow my dream and desire to create art. Thank you for sharing this part of your life with us, you ARE AMAZING! Because of you I will carry on in my journey and need to create art. Sincerely, Robin
When someone approaches you for artwork of his magnitude, do you ask for a budget or do you measure the wall and give them a price- generally speaking? Also for this project, with the original artwork, the scan, and the printing of the vinyl, PLUS installation- did you charge cheaper or the same price as a traditional painted mural? Did the vinyl have the same UV as mural paint?? pros and cons of working with vinyl- would you do this again?
this wouldn't cost nearly as much as a hand painted mural (obviously). this was a tiny canvas painting that took no more than a few hours to complete. the hanging was done by the company who owns the building so that cost has nothing to do with ten hun.
We (the artist) should give the price first. Then the negotiation shall begin, if the number didn’t match them. In this step, you can ask for their budget, and try to adjust to it. For example, first you offer the price of handpainted mural, then they say it’s too high. So you say ok instead of handpainted let’s make it vinyl, it costs less. But you do not discount the price of your artwork. If you have to cut some of your price, offer alternative methods that is measurable which could be cheaper (i.e. the size, the material, those you can measure-technical). Never lower your art price. Note that each artists might have different ways of pricing.
I can't say I don't like it cause I love your art and style, but I like much more the videos where you actually paint the murals. Yeah, I love the one with your wife on it. Thanks again for your videos man!
Man, you're absolutely amazing, your artworks are so doped, have a unique style. And this song at the beginning of the video, wow, I need... xD greetings from Brazil.
Damn. It's really cool that you're a local artist doing amazing work! I've binged some of your videos and you've got me really inspired! I'd really like to check out your shop sometime soon. I really aspire to do similar stuff as you, good luck with everything you do!
I'm so glad I found your channel. Your style is so sick man. I just checked out your clothing as well. I know what I am gonna do when the next payday arrives! Keep up the videos man, you'll be big in no time!
Man I wish someday I get to be just as good, your art is beautiful. Some of the details got lost on the printing when placed on the wall but nevertheless is still beautiful. I think it adds something to the apartments' view facing each other, there's something beautiful to look at.
I know some artists don't like to discuss income but wow, I'm just so insanely curious about how much they paid you for that! I mean could you afford a mansion with such commission? You're truly blessed in so many ways. I strive every day to find the same magic you have.
I just stumbled across your channel. I live in the area and I'd love to see your murals in real life one day. It's cool as fuck that your art will last so long on this city.keep doing great shit.
"Lorem Ipsum" is actually been used in software industry specifically web development industry. when they make out a design and sketch, they got to put some dummy text their product only for the testing purposes. so they use lorem ipsum all the time.
Hey TenHun that was awesome. I also own several buildings in the Caribbean. I would like to know about the vinyl process. Maybe we can speak or email each other. I love your style not only your paintings, you seem like a good person. Stay safe during these crazy times. Blessings M

It would be adorable if they made some kind of garden on the ground
The colorful light they'll cast when the sun hits them will be really cool too.
I love how the vinyl picked up the texture from the wall, it looks like it was painted straight on. Beautiful work, as always!
You mean beautiful work for the machine that printed the photograph?
@@MichaelJMayoskyStudios he created and painted it. The mural is a scan of his work.
My favourite RUclipsr....
Hands down.....

Shame that second wall has a lump running up it, I feel some of the detail got lost by it :(
maybe but maybe not, because Travis i think his name was was wrapping the mural around edges so the view from the windows at a certain angle would line up nice.
I think travis did a fantastic job though, he saved it.
Yes, it would definitely pay off if they could somehow put panels on left and right side and make the surface even or even to create convex surface
Oh thats what that is i thought they just moved the middle section up or something 🤭

you planted so many seeds of inspiration in my head that I'm really intrigued to see what sort of drawing I come up with next, fantastic work!
Although the uneven surface of the wall created some real challenges, I really loved this one.
Youre style reminds me a lot of adventure time🤷♀️

Amazing !!!! This is my dream job .. painting murals.
a big fan from Morocco, u r such a great artist man
Why was one of the murals not lined up correctly at the end? Awesome video btw.
it’s the texture of the wall, there’s a vertical portion in the middle that sticks out, like the more visible horizontal lumps on the first wall
Super cool to see this process! thanks
You are the best! Very inspiring!!!
THanks so much
Travis is AMAZING!!!
