Fellas, if you put a rifle in your bag, IT IS YOUR BABY. Never set it down, leave it alone or trust anyone around you. Doesn't matter if its a "tactical" bag or not, people steal bags because its easy and almost always has something good in it
I had a friend back in highschool that was going to have to fight some other guy after the bus ride. My friend had valuables in his bag and trusted no one, so prior to the fight he put tons of boulders in his bag to weigh it down. Someone ended up trying to snatch and grab his bag, and he easily caught up to the thief and they dropped the heavy bag to get distance and ran off. Always thought how brilliant of an idea that kid had weighing down his bag when he knew he had to set it down.
Have to learn to retain your bag without telegraphing just how important the bag is. If you're somewhere people generally leave their bags then you'll want to place it there too so your actions don't give it away.
Was at my local gun shop discussing camo types with a couple guys. This old dude in a "Bernie 2020" tshirt comes up and goes "Wanna know the best camo ever? THIS tshirt". We're all confused till he lifts his shirt to show us hes running a Glock 17 and a spare. Dude is brilliant!
This is actually great thinking. How many tactical pants/clean hiking boots/tshirt/beard, tat and hat combos do you see? Che tshirt, baggy beanie hat and converse all stars are the new meta.
@@AJPMUSIC_OFFICIAL Dress your carry bag up with patches and other stuff thats opposite of pro2a. I run equality, meat is murder and moms demand action patch. Nobody would suspect whats in that bag lol
In college I would carry my guns in and out of the dorm in a tennis racquet bag. A couple of my friends who shot with me knew and we'd joke about. "What kinda tennis you playing today?" "The soviet kind" (bc I had a wasr)
In college I rocked a neon pink "Hello Kitty" backpack. The outer pocket even was Hello Kitty's face and had soft fur like fabric on it. It grew on everybody around campus and any time people saw me without it they would ask "Where is the backpack??" For me... A) It was a joke, and an easy conversation starter. B) Cost me $5 and C) fit all of my books and laptop in it, while remaining unimportant should I ever have to set it down. College campuses have "Guests" all the time. Many people see college bags as easy ways to steal laptops, tablets, phones, earbuds etc. Whereas mine somebody thinks "Hey, somebody brought their little sister to campus today"
Man, never really thought about the gray man approach until now. I'm one of those dudes that are just so pissed with everyone here in California for infringing on our 2A rights that I go around as loudly pro-2A as I can... but this makes perfect sense. Opened my eyes, Lucas - thanks for the ultra-packed info vid, brother!
same with woodland camo, it's been out of service for so long now that everybody who wears it here (rural georgia) wears it because it's cheap and durable milsurp for rural country work, not like they are playing barbie army man dress up like with crye or multicam which ironically outs those people as city slickers because hunters here just wear whatever walmart or dicks sells for $10-30/pants of real tree than some gucci gear.
Tactical Jesus here lol. I wear metal shirts, black slim jeans and black Adidas shoes. You may scoff at skinny jeans but they're actually very stretchy and have a wide range of movement. When I travel, I bring my AR15s in a softshell guitar case/gig bag. I do play guitar and look the part so I'm very low profile. As a fellow Volunteer, I just want to say thanks if you guys helped Constitutional Carry pass here. We needed it desperately. I live a bit north of Knoxville.
If we all "looked the part" it would be way too easy to pick out people carrying lol. That's the great thing about this place, you never know who's packing, so behave! Lol Also don't let people shame you for the pants lmfao. Should be able to carry to fit your style, doesn't matter what it is
@@alfalegionnaire3451 you gotta get the stretchy ones. Most comfortable pants I've ever owned were the slim cut stretchy jeans from Old Navy. I like the 5.11 Icon pants as well. My wife is the same way, metal shirts, skinny jeans, boots, and flannel shirts. Sounds like a butch lesbian, but she looks fine af lol. Her EDC is on point, shes is literally the girl version of me. Metal, guitars, guns, prepping and survival.
In covert surveillance a phrase I’ve heard is called “the unofficial uniform” which describes the phenomenon of when newbies attending a course in an effort to not stick out all ending up looking the same and to put it shortly they all look like Lucas.
In the military our “unofficial uniform” in an environment where wearing the actual uniform is a bad idea is a collared shirt and khakis or more often 5.11’s. We all end looking like feds even though the intent is to blend in
Late to the game on this, but was just going to make a similar comment! Especially in areas where military or IC presence is high (greater DC area, parts of Florida, Texas, etc.), there's definitely a "look" that folks in the community have when they're trying not to stick out that makes it obvious to those familiar with it. It's usually the Patagonia jackets, climbing pants, hiking shoe-esthetic that gives it away, and there's usually one of those "Highlander" moments where you give each other the side-eye where you're both thinking: "is he like me or just a guy/gal that likes outdoorsy stuff?" lol
The biggest issue I run into using bags from Target or most other consumer level stores, is that the bags have crappy zippers and the straps will not hold a heavy load. Usually the fabric is paper thin too. The challenge is finding a random non descript bag that is designed to take abuse and a heavy load and is built as such, heavy yyk zippers, beefy doubled stitched, padded straps ect
That’s true. I have a Star Wars bag I loaded up and I heard a strap start to tear so had to scrap that bag for major stuff and just use it for minimalist load.
try outdoors brands. like the north face or patagonia or arcteryx. or camera bags. my range bag is a lowepro protactic camera bag. every thinks you're going to a photoshoot and the bag zips from the bag so its super secure
Just realized my dad has been a “grey man” my whole life. He has always carried a pistol on his person and wears dad clothes, nothing tactical. He doesn’t even talk guns or anything with acquaintances or coworkers.
I wish we could talk about the right to keep and bear without feeling like we're outing ourselves. I openly promote the 2A because I perceive that it's become less popular because it's deemed distasteful by the elitists. If the airforce veteran that got me into firearms, didn't do it, I might not have gotten into marksmanship proficiency outside of my 4 years of USMC service.
At 6’7” 265# not drawing attention to myself is nearly impossible. Therefore, my “Gray Man” approach has been to control the impression of the attention I naturally draw. I work blue collar so a hi-viz reflective works well as a cover garment to absolutely ensure I do not print when CC is not illegal, but administratively restricted. Instead of being Mr. Tactical I am Mr. Safety. Traded my rip stop tactical pants pants for brown duck relax fit painter’s pants. Traded my tactical-hiking boots for Redwings. Traded my tactical bag for a tool bag with a lock and a funny patch which says “go get your own damn tools”. Non-tactical earth tone Carrhartt shirt. Natural brown palm straw sun hat instead of a boonie hat. Just look like a worker, but if the $h!+ ever hit the fan, I can just shed my reflective vest to go low-viz for hiding in the bushes.
@@derrickroberts93 why can't you stand it? If it's normalized, then it won't be a big deal. We really need to start open carring again. They convinced people in the past that it wasn't right to carry, then when people stopped doing it, it was way easier to ban.
@@BigTomInTheBasement I’ve got no problem with open carrying personally. I absolutely agree we should normalize it again as well. I assume his point was that if you’re trying to blend in, that’s the complete opposite. There’s no problem with an overt warning though, as long as you’re confident in your retention. In some cases it may actually benefit you if you were to have to use it - it’s like robbing a house with a sign that says “Trespassers will be shot” and then shooting the guy who breaks in at midnight to rob the place.
It’s not just the clothing and bags that screams “I’m packing a gun” 🔫 It’s also all those dumb gun, optics, and even military service stickers all over people’s vehicles. Perfect for getting broken into or even be targeted
I have military veteran plates on my truck and it hasn't been messed with. I rarely keep my arms in the truck though. Do you have any stats or numerous anecdotal evidence about people being targeted due to advertising affiliation? Police seem to be much more interested in affiliations shown on your car.
@The Lazy Reconnoiter the NRA isn't big on home defense or theft deterrence is it? Probably a revolver or rifle in an unlocked cabinet. Tactical guys usually have a shotgun, rifle or pistol or all 3 ready to go. I think the time of sleepy hunters as the primary gun owners of the USA is ending. We're going back to minute men with ARs instead of muskets at the ready. We sense danger and have known of it coming. The communists tried their BS in the 30s, 60s, 90s and now again. They've been setting up and the resistance against them has been growing.
I actively tell friends in the gun community to take all those damn stickers off their trucks. Nothing says "I have an expensive gun in this vehicle, come steal it" like a Sig sticker on the back window
Wait, so you’re saying I shouldn’t wear a multicam hat with a patch, Black Rifle Coffee t-shirt, combat boots, and carry a backpack covered in patches and molle?
Nah that's fine. Make sure to grow out a beard, work on your physique, get tattoos (bonus points if they include symbols such as the bald eagle or the american flag or something political about guns), and wear your favorite tactical sunglasses too. Then you can become the truest of gray men.
Stole my thought. I have two girls under 4 and it’s AMAZING low viz bag using a Soft grey and blue coloring and it fits a Glock 19 along with my 7” 300 blkout with law folder if I needed broke down and slid into the bottom.
That or have a clipboard, period. Learn how to check it constantly like you're seriously busy and nobody comes near you - and those dense ones that do, nobody will mind if you yell at for interrupting. Believe me, I've done it at work and got away with it 😂
There's two types of people you want to trick when being the Gray Man. One is easy, one is hard. For general public in an apathetic environment, you can pretty much dress anyway you want minus the branding or over the top Threeper patches/Punisher Skulls/American flag & Camo pattern. People just don't care and don't pay attention. They won't see you print and they won't care that you're wearing Salomon's, as long as they aren't solid FDE. People are just self absorbed and unless you get between them and the screen on their cell phone they won't notice you. The second type of person is "Bluefor" or government agents in a strictly non-permissive environment. If a government agent is actively looking for people who MIGHT be trouble, they'll be clued in to everything you're wearing (including your T-Rex hat...) and will likely be able to tell you're carrying a gun just by the way you walk or sit. It can be as easy as noticing you're carrying a bag when no one else is or that you're wearing laced up shoes when everyone is in flip flops. If you want to Gray Man someone who is trained to look for Indigs trying to blend in, you better very carefully study who you're trying to blend in with and don't deviate at all, even if it means sacrificing gear.
Those bluefor guys will take notice for sure. Tho I would postulate that provided you're not in a restricted "high official security" environment where rolling like that is a no-no for civilians, they most likely won't really be worried about you. Theyll keep an eye out for you for sure (its their job), but your profile doesnt/wont align with "up to no good" generally. Nefariousness tends to broadcast..
I agree. Like, who are people trying to greyman from? Lucas’ points about bags… no one cares. Molle, no molle… doesn’t matter. The everyday person who isn’t part of gun culture won’t recognize a Vertx from a Viktos. As long as you’re not multicammed out, wearing combat boots or shirts that say come and take it or whatever, no one bats an eye. Criminals don’t research gun culture or gear just so they can be better informed on the streets… the only people someone who prescribes to grey man theory will be recognized in using “grey man” marketed gear, are other people who also prescribe to grey man gear. And those people aren’t generally a threat or going to get up in your business about it. The non permissive environments thing, as you pointed out, is a totally different thing, but none of us in America are really in or around non permissive environments. If there were non permissive environments in America… maybe don’t go there?
The definition of “grey” is very contextual. If I’m at a hippie music festival, I’m in tie die and doc martin’s with a canvas “sling bag” over my shoulder. If I’m at a business convention, it’s “business casual” with a laptop bag. My age, ethnicity and gender are a little harder to “blend” if those are the features that will make me stand out.
True. Only the concerned are paying attention. 80% or more of the public just wants to get through the day and watch TV that does not require thinking.
Once I was in California and I had someone ask if I was military because they noticed my pocketknife (a Kershaw Leek of all things) clipped in my pocket. I thought it was normal, but just goes to show you never know what may tip people off.
I conceal carry my 7" ka-bar, and fun. Everyone can see you, but I have yet to run into a person in public that will pull my pants down or flip up my shirts.
I have a beard and a slightly athletic build (6’ 200lbs) and I always get asked if I want the military discount at different places. I guess I’ll get fat and shave 😂
@@almostontimehero5415 Right? I've been asked to surrender a pocketknife, that I use for utility, when I went into a bar once. Whole time I was there I had a dagger clipped in my waistband. A lot of "security" is just security theatre.
Would've been hilarious when he was talking about bags: "So when companies like Vertx or 5.11 get really big, you kinda out yourself and are no longer low-vis.....which is why I personally use a Dora the Explorer backpack..."
Haha, I've been wearing Dickies and flannel shirts for the last few years until I realized that since I live in Louisiana it makes me stand out! If you want to blend in down here, a T-shirt with some university or crop-dusting company on it, a long sleeve shirt (untucked or unbuttoned) if you are carrying, and jeans or long pants. The best bags for the south here are just normal backpacks, ideally Realtree camo in this area :)
Ahegao Hoodie, White shoes, black socks, Slim jeans, Rainbow Face mask , a cap with the word _"I love puppies"_ on it, and a sport backpack with anime related keychainsall over your zippers *Wear all that and everyone thinks you're not a gun owner*
Hey Lucas and Trex team. I just wanted to reach out and say how appreciative I am about my most recent order from your online store. Ordered a Ragnarok as well as a QLS fork for it. You mounted the hardware for me so I didn’t have to. Seems like a little thing to you guys, but that attention to detail, mindfulness and customer service sets you guys apart. Thank you so much. Plus your lead times are exceedingly reasonable in these times. I will keep coming back for more.

Gotta disagree on the Fortnite bag. I think it screams video games and electronics for an easy snatch and grab. I'd rather something like a gym bag that screams dirt smelly workout clothes.
I thought about using a power tool case as a handgun case. Its well padded, durable, and it doesnt scream "gun". But what it does scream is "power tool" which is easy to pawn for quick cash. So I could end up having my handgun stolen by a guy looking to pawn off my Milwaukee.
My first impression of any backpack with videogame/cartoon branding is "children's school bag". Definitely not the first thing I'd loot if I were a generic criminal scumbag, so I'd say he was on the money there.
I got called out in London walking downtown as an American right away. A guy yelled "what state you from?" We started talking and he said he could tell I was an American cause of my baseball cap and the way I was surveying everything and everyone around me as me and my family walked. Ever since then I try to be much more discreet.
Great talk. I'm the most low speed, high drag guy you'll ever meet when it comes to advanced weapons skills. That said, I spent my entire adult life doing surveillance and advance team work for some very high speed guys in non-permissive environments around the world. I see so many people online "preparing" for civil unrest by gearing up for a ground war in which, I suppose, they think they'll be elite soldiers. They are so fucked. Most of the places I operated I wasn't even able to have a firearm. I love guns, love shooting, love training - but survival in a non-permissive environment comes down to a million little things that have nothing to do with firearms. Grey man theory (as expressed here) is great in terms of not broadcasting your skill set, but it's just a start. Learning how to procure and stage a bag/backpack so that you can talk your way through a government checkpoint (or militia checkpoint) is important. Knowing how to properly conceal items on your person so that you can bypass locks quickly and efficiently is important. Having multiple backstory's (that have been backstopped) so that you can move through refugee camps without drawing attention is important. Being able to take $100 into a home depot/walmart and being able to arm yourself with easily concealable and disposable short range weapons. Knowing how to blend in with different groups, not by your dress, but by completely changing your entire personality/belief system (think method acting) so that you can actually work your way into different groups of people, is important. Shooting is great but it is a very, very small aspect of survival in an urban/occupied environment.
It all depends where you are. You obviously saw the riots in the wake of George Floyd’s killing/murder. If you were not armed you were simply not in a position to defend your home and neighborhood. You were not in a position to defend yourself either. Arson of an occupied home is deadly force. Being assaulted by people with impact weapons in groups is deadly force. These people when confronted by armed force usually seek softer targets. The streets of America are going to be armed and deadly when it all falls apart. The cops will protect critical infrastructure and leave you on your own. Thats not like what you say you were involved in. In America you better be prepared for urban combat.
Lol. Yeah, being a trend follower makes you a follower. Beyond that nothing can prepare an American for 3rd world life except going through it. Your average asshole wouldn't think of using a rock as a hammer, until they do. At that point they have a go-to weapon. I'm no operator, team guy, or whatever flashy language that the media has made popular. Just a hard working concrete guy who knows improvisation.
Just subscribed. Live the Grey man life. Hanes Ts, thrift store jeans (of all brands) and dock martins... now in the winter I wear thermals and a snap-on (was actually very expensive). That eludes I'm a mechanic. In all honesty. I'm a plumber lol. I believe it's something I picked up years ago from reading "the art of war". The underlying theme is "despetion to win the battle/war". Been Grey for over a decade now. Cheers 👍👍
I carried one 'Jan Sport' backpack in particular for like 10 years as a tool bag in a heavy industrial job, loaded down with the bare minimum that I needed to do my job...like pipe wrenches, 440Channellocks, Flukes, and such. The plant was like 5 miles end to end, 100s of feet in the air, and mostly ladders. Sharp mezzanine floors that would tare up my FRs and the skin under that. That Jans Sport never shredded, never started spittin' tools from 300' in the sky...onto housecats & engineers on 1st floor, that never leave the freakin' CONcrete....ehem. It was a stupid tough bag, is all.
I literally make a game out of pointing out the “tactical guys” whenever I’m in the mall or Walmart. If I see you wearing Altama boots or 5.11 pants, I already know what’s up 😂.
I like to carry my Dillon mini gun in a baby stroller, when the hot girls ask to see the ''baby'' i tell them he's sleeping and Dillon doesn't like it when i wake him up. They always follow up with, ''whats the battery underneath for?''

You just gave me the greatest idea to date. AR water sprayer. You can get up on your roof hook up your hose and lay down 10 gallons per minute of superbly accurate high quality H2O.
Buy a rifle bag/ pelican case that matches your vehicle carpet. Black for black/ grey and tan for beige. Makes it harder to see through a tinted window
I’ve watched a ton of your videos and this by far was the one I needed to watch most. This video is in December of 2023 going into 2024 which is possibly going to be the biggest election year the United States has ever seen. Our community needs to be ready.
generally speaking people who spend money on quality bags typically use them to hold quality items. If someone's carrying a $100-$350+ bag on their shoulder they probably have something of value to carry within it. Sometimes a cheap JanSport or other common backpack is just the way to go.
I love how he is openly talking about all the times he was trying to be "low vis" to us totally blowing his own cover. His gray man level is over 9000!!!!
You can build houses all your life and be a master carpenter. You can weld all your life and be a welder. But you go grey one time and forever be known as the grey man.
I always dress and present myself so that -nobody- can tell anything about who I am or what I believe. I present knowledge on a need to know/relevance basis. Plus you are better able to present a case/cause when you deny people the ability to pre-judge you.
Instead of making a bag, make an insert to an existing bag, find a bag that has large stock from a retailer like North Face. Make an insert you either slide in or have to cut the internals of the bag up a bit for.
Vertx makes the socp rigid insert panel. You can cut it down to fit inside pretty much any bag. Works great if that's something you're interested in or if you swap between bags frequently
Just rememeber: all your gray man plans go out the window if you have neighbors who will rat you out when laws become more tyrannical, and they saw all your cool stuff back when things were calm. Don't forget to play nice with the people around you, and dont show off your toys.
Lucas you are the epitome of the “grey man”. well, other than that hat you like to wear. The awesome bend in the bill is a dead giveaway, thanks for the great videos. Keep up the good work kid!
"Don't buy gun bags like 5.11 or Vertex...get normal made bags", oh wait... I gotta make money too, "Trex may start to sell gun bags too" 😆 I see what you did there
I’m Russian and I lmfao when you said they comment. People are miserable in Russia lol, they all talk shit about how Americans are fat but ALL want to be here and live the life.
Greymanning is easy; I go for the "overweight nondescript middle-aged civilian" look, which always works because that's what I actually am. It's very convincing to pretend to be who you are.
The one piece of “normal” equipment that I think you really should wear a non traditional one of if you are carrying every day is a belt. You still want to get one that looks normal enough and doesn’t call attention to you, especially because you’d be specifically calling attention to where the gun is effectively - but if you just try to wear normal belts, you’re not always going to get the same level of practical use, concealment, and quite often the typical $40-50 leather belts will fall apart fairly quick.
In the wilds land fire community, we call those bags our "RED Bags" they were loaded in the trucks with everything we needed to go anywhere anytime for up to two weeks at a time.
I live in Waco, TX area where grey man is to wear Multicam and shirts talking about guns lol. We like to let the local ATF office know they really shouldn’t keep their field office here after their shenanigans back in the 90’s.
As a metalhead, it's very easy for me to go unnoticed in a loose, black band t shirt, black pants, black chucks and long hair. I usually have such a "distinct" look that people assume I'm actually anti-gun.

The idea being that people usually visually scan bags before they break in. So if it looks like it holds something of value it's more likely to get you busted glass over something that just looks like it holds dirty gym shorts.
People profile before they even break into cars. They know the demographics of the area and you can tell right away what is going to be in the car. Go through a parking lot and you can tell exactly where to find firearms.
If they see a fortnite bag like that, they may actually think of not breaking in and taking it. 1) It's highly visible, 2) It's not expensive (not worth the risk), and 3) It'll look awfully suspicious on you. Sling a normal black backpack on and no one with look at you twice. Sling that thing on your back and people will do double takes. Not saying it reduces your chances of being burglarized, but it surely reduces it.
@@EngNerdGMN Not really how criminals work. Opportunity is more important to them than finding the most valuable target in a given area. Most vehicle thefts now are handle checkers going through a neighborhood. It doesn't matter if your neighbor drives 2 ferraris with gucci rifle cases in the front seats. If you forget, just once, to lock your doors they will get in and rummage through everything to see what they can get.
@@atomicsmith Yup it takes too long to just randomly break in to modern vehicles. Even smashing the glass isn't easy. They look for unlocked cars, and people who forgot to put their windows up.
@Sven3xs I had my elementary and middle school backpacks stolen in a 2 smash and grabs growing up. Once your car is broken into, it doesn’t matter what the backpack looks like from personal experience.
Vertx has some products that have tactical functionality but aren't ridiculously over the top that scream "hey I'm carrying". Their phantom LT 2.0 pants are a great example, 12 pockets but extremely streamlined and low vis, they actually made the legs a full inch slimmer than the regular phantom ops. But they still come with the nice articulated knees and are actually really soft. They are made of mini ripstop...but in the darker colors like smoke grey it's not easy to tell unless you're right next to me. Also vertx has a go pack that's essentially a one pocket drawstring medium size bag that looks just like any generic Nike drawstring back except the whole inside is hook and loop velcro combatable so if you wanna attach overflow pouches, mak bands etc you can...

As a paramedic, a hole is a hole. I've pronounced more dead from GSWs from 38sp than any other caliber. As a former Marine, 556 62 punched the card of many third world nationals. Not to disparage 300BO, but I think you're understating the lethality of some commonly carried calibers. A tool is a tool, just be competent with it.

I drive a RAV4 hybrid with two “Baby on Board” stickers; one for the baby and the other for my AR15. If you came across my grey Corolla and for some reason broke into the trunk, you would find a medium sized ice chest. If you opened that, you would find a backpack 🎒 which is actually THE hospital. LOL, I speak Russian when I visit Eastern Europe. Так как многие в восточной Европе разговаривают по русский и я не хочу всем дать знать что у меня есть деньги при себе или что я американец. As far as the Fortnite bag, criminals will break into your car and steal it but not because they think it has gun in it, rather it will be because it’s high viz and easily noticed inside the car AND criminals generally are looking for anything of value including computers and cellphones. Grey man isn’t just about labels and brands, it’s also about blending in and unique bags catch attention. Jansport, Columbia, Patagonia, Levi, or REI co-op clothing/gear is generally an excellent choice but also consider the color. If you are in Disneyland, bright colors are good, otherwise stick to dull darker colors. I have a lot of grey man family history as my Christian grandparents and parents had to “hide in plain sight” in the USSR or ССР after my great grandfather was killed by a forest fire in a Gulag for his faith and my great grandmother was left to raise the kids on her own (through a famine). Overall a good video with some good insights. 👍🏻 I would also recommend people read The Art of War, which is a great book on tactics and deception.

My only thing I really like with open carry is to help get people normalized with it. Like you said, people staring you down when you open carry. Shouldn’t be a problem. If more people open carried, it would allow more people to be comfortable around it.
+1 for the camera stickers. I work as a photographer and keep some stickers on my hard gun cases, though it does make you more of a target for thieves if you live in an urban area
Unironically go to an REI with a tape measure and just rummage through their bags. Bought a 20L day hike backpack, navy blue with orange accents that fits either my takedown 10/22 or broken down pistol with an 8in barrel. Stuff is good quality, and they have a good return policy
Clothing and bags are only a city camo. When you look at a person, their shape, movements, behavior, position of their feet, sometimes the facial expression and the look in their eyes, or the way they are scanning or explicitly not scanning you and the surroundings - all that gives you a rough, but pretty correct idea about the capabilities level of that person. Mostly. You can't hide it with clothing. There are exceptions, of course. If you want to be more certain, create an event and observe the reaction.
First time I've heard you say I'm a Christian. I will definitely try to start supporting you by purchasing from you and your website. I really admire your honesty and courage whereas nowadays it's frowned upon to be a follower of Christ.

Someone ended up trying to snatch and grab his bag, and he easily caught up to the thief and they dropped the heavy bag to get distance and ran off. Always thought how brilliant of an idea that kid had weighing down his bag when he knew he had to set it down.
Back in HK I would put my backpack around my leg on long train rides. Also helps to avoid me from forgetting it
Have to learn to retain your bag without telegraphing just how important the bag is.
If you're somewhere people generally leave their bags then you'll want to place it there too so your actions don't give it away.

The classic “Undercover cop at the rave” uniform.

Never seen a vehicle with military stickers get broken into.

Best comment so far
I'll be putting my smelly gym clothes and some trash in my tacticool bags.
I would recommend just dressing and looking like an idiot… must be killin it because it seems to work for me.
Ba dum tiss
The definition of “grey” is very contextual. If I’m at a hippie music festival, I’m in tie die and doc martin’s with a canvas “sling bag” over my shoulder. If I’m at a business convention, it’s “business casual” with a laptop bag. My age, ethnicity and gender are a little harder to “blend” if those are the features that will make me stand out.

But I’m super sexy and people would pay good money for my smelly workout clothes
I'd think they'd be more inclined to think it was a child's school bag than someone carrying an Xbox in their backpack

The baseball cap caught his attention, your actions were a confirmation.
Also a good gray man practice is not using your real name on your RUclips profile

Never thought of that, thanks for the tip
Mine is in a Nikon case. Should I change it to Canon? (Grin)
I went grey 3 years back and never know this was a thing 😂
Just made sense
You can build houses all your life and be a master carpenter. You can weld all your life and be a welder. But you go grey one time and forever be known as the grey man.
This is why Lucas is my favorite RUclips Larper. He’s explains so many details from his studies and training in his backyard. Love this guy.
I think he graduates high school next year! 😂
I always wondered how people could tell I was concealed carrying my .50 BMG on my back under my shirt. Now I know its because I'm wearing 5.11 boots
Your “third leg” gave it away.
I gotta make money too, "Trex may start to sell gun bags too" 😆
I see what you did there

@@Trentofredwall ah shit, so much truth In this..

I’ve been trying to find a way out for the longest time.
Greymanning is easy; I go for the "overweight nondescript middle-aged civilian" look, which always works because that's what I actually am. It's very convincing to pretend to be who you are.
😆 im always double looking at the slighlty overweight man wearing a short-sleeved button down shirt, cargo shorts and flip flops or hey-dudes 😆
I have a Filson double thick belt. Black and looks totally normal but great for a holster. You could tow a car with it. $60.
In the wilds land fire community, we call those bags our "RED Bags" they were loaded in the trucks with everything we needed to go anywhere anytime for up to two weeks at a time.
Always makes me laugh seeing a couch potato in a Grunt Style tee.
I feel triggered..
Agreed
As far as shooting I take this kid more seriously than some veterans I know so.. F. O. H.
💯
Coming from a couch potato, or keyboard warrior. Both are laughable.
I live in Waco, TX area where grey man is to wear Multicam and shirts talking about guns lol.
We like to let the local ATF office know they really shouldn’t keep their field office here after their shenanigans back in the 90’s.

Good answer!
to be fair they might think hey a little kids fortnite bag maybe there's a switch or an ipad in there, because little kids carry that shit everywhere
Imagine some kid tries to steal Lucas’ Nintendo switch but gets a mp5 instead 😂
As a metalhead, it's very easy for me to go unnoticed in a loose, black band t shirt, black pants, black chucks and long hair. I usually have such a "distinct" look that people assume I'm actually anti-gun.
A kel-tec sub 2K is A great little 9 mm carbine and it folds nicely to fit inside a tennis racket case.
someone breaking into your car will take every single bag you leave in it.
guns always go missing if left in a vehicle.
Yeah, no😂
@@TheTeddyChoice must be nice living in the boonies. leave a gun sized case visible in your car in the city, n its gonna be gone. doesn't matter if it has MLP, hentai, or gun stickers on it. Hell, these crackheads will jack the pennies rusted to your carpet, n you don't think they'll jack a visible bag or case cuz of some stickers? Whatever helps you sleep at night I guess.
guitar? gat? who knows, but moth sell well at the pawnshop!
People who break in to cars don't give a shit what they're stealing. If they break in, they take every bag.
Camera bags are great. Lots of modularity for gear.
@Sven3xs I had my elementary and middle school backpacks stolen in a 2 smash and grabs growing up. Once your car is broken into, it doesn’t matter what the backpack looks like from personal experience.

Tactical Timmys: whimpering silently in a corner
I use a northface bag. Good quality. Blends in
Great for concealing on college campuses. 90% of students have the same bag as me.

His stature, his clothes, his mannerisms, his voice.........few people would pick up on how hazardous it would be to start a firefight with this guy.......I like it
Thanks for the quote from I.J. and the Last Crusade. One of my favorite and funniest lines from the series.

Dude! Much respect for your family tree and insights.

I bought some yellow Dewalt decals to make my Pelican look like a legit heavy duty tool case.
That would perhaps look equally appealing to a thief though..
@@Charles-tj8ol It's a pelican it's going to look appealing to thieves no matter what.
Yeah, tool theft is more common than firearms theft. It’s a quick trip to the pawn shop for some easy money. I’d reconsider those stickers.
